ConsOn days with heavy makeup, if I don't do a second cleanse, I often find mascara still lingering on my lashes.
TipInstead of using oil, I use this for my first cleanse, followed by a gentle wash with soap. This routine works well for me.

Used it alongside a blueberry cleansing foam I also picked up without much thought. To my surprise, it was the first time I've experienced such a lack of tightness after cleansing. My face doesn't feel particularly tight even without applying skincare afterwards. It made me truly realize the existence of the skin barrier for the first time. While many reviews claimed both this cleansing emulsion and the blueberry cleansing foam lack cleansing effectiveness, the combination of the two seems to remove face makeup quite well.
ConsIt would be nice if it could remove eye makeup too, but I guess I'm trading cleansing power for skin barrier protection. I usually find using eye makeup remover a hassle and just use cleansing foam to remove everything at once, but this product can't do that, which is slightly inconvenient. It also can't remove shimmer eyeshadow, leaving glitter residue on the face.
TipIt's not suitable for use on its own; a second cleanse with cleansing foam is necessary. Eye makeup remover is also a must.

Plus, true to its name, I appreciated the minimal ingredient list. # Hydration I bought this for morning cleansing, so cleansing power wasn't that important. Being an emulsion, it didn't strip much moisture during cleansing, so I used it without worry. On particularly dry days, or when I had painful, bumpy blemishes due to dryness, I'd first cleanse lightly with toner, then finish with this product. It was great for removing any remaining residue without irritation. In spring, fall, and winter, I can maintain my skin condition without special care. But it seems my body chemistry has changed - in summer, all the heat concentrates on my face, breaking down my skin barrier. It was really tough... At first, I didn't know what to do, but after focusing on removing heat and boosting hydration, my skin has improved a lot. Using this product for cleansing was especially a game-changer. When I used my usual oil or gel cleansers from other seasons, despite being low pH, they made my skin feel very tight. With the Minimum Cleansing Emulsion, the tightness disappeared and my skin improved significantly.
Cons# Uncertainty when cleansing When I first used this product, I often wondered how thoroughly I should rinse it off. There's absolutely no squeaky-clean feeling, nor is there that 'okay, it's clean now' sensation you get with other products. So I tested it on my hands first, rinsing to find the right balance. Since I usually wash my face in the shower, I rinsed it off with running water without touching my face afterwards. Ultimately, I deducted one star for the user experience.

I heard it's preservative-free, so I've been using it generously to finish it quickly. My skin was struggling with dryness, so I switched to something milder... and I'm pleased to say it's non-irritating and hydrating. After washing, there's a slight richness left on the skin, giving me a sense of protection.
ConsHowever, the residual feeling after use is a bit... uncomfortable, for lack of a better word. My skin feels extremely slippery; it's like there's a lot left behind. Even though I follow up with a cleansing foam for double cleansing, the overall experience isn't great.
TipNothing specific to add, just remember to use it up quickly within its shelf life!

Among all the products I've used, this one feels the gentlest when cleansing. My skin is sensitive to physical irritation, so even with mild ingredients, I often get blemishes and redness from cleansing. I had stopped using it before due to residue, but I learned how to use it without leaving any behind. I tried it again this winter because my skin was dry. It even helped clear up my small bumps. My skin feels less tight after cleansing. I gently massage it in, rinse with water, and then - this is crucial! - I wipe with a damp sponge. This significantly reduces any residue! For those with very dry skin, you might want to wipe with a sponge, rinse a bit more, and then finish. I follow up with a foam cleanser - I'm using Etude's Cica foam cleanser. After wiping with a sponge, most gentle foam cleansers work well to remove any remaining product.
ConsI didn't have any particular issues. I'd recommend it for very dry to normal skin, but absolutely not for oily skin! Although the product says it's washable, it's impossible to rinse off completely with water alone.
TipMake sure to use a sponge with it! I'm using a Sidmool sponge, which is firm yet soft and removes the product effectively.

After removing my makeup, I didn't get that squeaky clean feeling, which made me wonder if I hadn't rinsed enough... So I did a second cleanse. I had some redness from acne, and although I'm not sure if it's because of the ingredients, it seems to be improving since I started using this.
ConsIt doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling... I'm not sure if that's typical for emulsion-type cleansers as this is my first time trying one.

I appreciated that it's fragrance-free, and my skin doesn't feel dry after use.
ConsWell... I kept getting blemishes, so I tried wiping my forehead with a cotton pad soaked in toner. To my surprise, it picked up leftover base makeup. Since then, I've been extra careful with cleansing when using this product. I've decided to buy a separate cleansing oil and use this for daily cleansing instead.
TipGentle cleansing without harsh rubbing

My skin is super sensitive and prone to redness, but this works well for me.
ConsEven after thoroughly cleansing, it still feels like there's a slight residue left on the skin.
TipAfter using the Eye Factory Lip and Eye Remover, I follow up with this cleansing emulsion. It effectively removes makeup and is gentle on my sensitive skin.

However, this one is great because it doesn't cause any discomfort. It's gentler than oil-based cleansers, with a light rolling sensation. It feels refreshing and soft on the skin, allowing for a thorough cleanse without any tightness.
ConsThe cleansing effectiveness seems a bit weak. I'd recommend this for those who use minimal makeup. Personally, if you're looking for a gentle first cleanser, I'd suggest trying a cleansing balm instead. I've tried other mild cleansing oils, including those from Sidmool, but they caused severe eye irritation and had an unpleasant oily scent that bothered me.

I apply a generous amount of the emulsion on my dry face, gently massaging it with dry hands, then wipe it off with a damp sponge. I experienced no burning sensation, itching, or blemishes, and I'm satisfied that it's more hydrating than cleansing water. It's also good hygiene-wise since you need to use it within 3 months. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out!
ConsConsidering the volume, it's not particularly cheap compared to other products - it's similar or even more expensive. While it's good for travel and hygiene, I use a generous amount each time, so it runs out quickly. I highly recommend buying it during 1+1 promotions or sales. The scent is like... puppy paw smell? (Only some people will get this) It has that kind of cozy scent. It's better than products with added fragrances, so I can overlook this point.
TipAfter wiping off with a damp sponge, don't immediately use a cleanser. Instead, rinse with water a few times before cleansing for a cleaner finish.
