I prefer hair essences that absorb lightly, so this one's perfect for me! The cool and sweet scent is right up my alley too. I think I'll be sticking with this for a while! Please don't discontinue it... Those who prefer more nourishing essences might find this a bit lacking. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2020
I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews... haha! My hair has been through extreme damage with 2 bleaches, 2 perms, and 1 straightening treatment, but using this product has significantly improved my hair texture. The scent might be divisive, but personally, I find that it develops into a subtle, pleasant fragrance over time. My boyfriend likes it too. Most importantly, the reason I stocked up on this essence is that it doesn't feel sticky when applied!!! I used to avoid using essences because other brands would leave a tacky residue on my hands, but this one absorbs cleanly, which I love! The only downside is that you need to wipe your hands after application due to the oil content. Other than that, the only disappointment is that it seems to be discontinued... I don't think I can buy it anymore, which is a shame. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 23, 2019
The scent is subjective, but I think it's quite pleasant overall Even after shaking the oil well and applying it, my hair doesn't become softer but rather feels a bit stiff - ok*****Dry SkinFeb 23, 2017
Depending on your personal preference, you might find the fragrance quite pleasant... For me, the scent was too overpowering, and it didn't make my hair any softer. I much prefer using just plain oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 11, 2017
I bought this because I was intrigued by the shake-to-use type. The contents are separated into layers, which looks really pretty. I'm replacing this even though it's almost new. This is absolutely not it. I have straight, natural hair that I'm growing out to donate, so I don't use dye, perms, or heat styling. I used this for detangling and protecting my long hair ends. 1. Damage care? Yeah right. It makes my hair stiff and frizzy, and when I brush it's like I didn't apply anything at all. It actually feels like it's breaking more and getting stiffer. 2. Thinking I might not be using enough, I applied more, but it just made my hair sticky. Seriously sticky. 3. It leaves my hands greasy, and oil transfers when I touch my hair. 4. Not sure what pear scent they were going for, but it smells strongly like men's aftershave. My mom says it smells like disinfectant. I thought it would be good since it's from Elastine, but why is it like this? And don't give me that 'you need to use it longer to see results' nonsense. How could anyone use this awful product for long?
