  Pros

  When my skin was at its worst, this soap actually helped a lot. It's a gentle, no-frills bar soap that focuses on the basics. I found it much better than soaps with various additives, and it's very affordable too. It's an excellent choice for those following the Utsugi skincare method.

  Cons

  I'm not currently using it because it's a Japanese product.

  Tip

  If you sign up for their loyalty program, you can get an even better discount. To minimize irritation, I recommend using a foam net.

  I started using this soap because my atopic dermatitis was so severe, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it completely cleared up my condition. While other cosmetics, body washes, or soaps would irritate my skin, this one has never caused any issues. It's truly gentle, like washing your face with milk.

  Cons

  While it's extremely gentle, this soap effectively removes oily residues whether you're showering or washing your face. This is both a pro and a con, as it can leave your skin feeling a bit too tight afterwards.

  Skin condition: Allergies & seborrheic dermatitis, sensitive skin. I was looking for a gentle, additive-free soap and found this one. It doesn't irritate my skin, making it quite suitable for use.

  Cons

  None. Perhaps it's too mild? Those with extremely oily skin might need to use a different soap.

  Tip

  As someone with super sensitive skin, I appreciate that this soap doesn't cause any burning sensation or tingling. It's great for maintaining the oil and moisture balance without clogging pores.

  The original soap is less irritating than regular soap I usually use, lathers well, and feels nice

  Cons

  However, I'd recommend using it as a body wash rather than for facial cleansing. For face washing, I suggest trying Shabondama's other product, the avocado soap. I use the avocado one for my baby and it's really good. For facial cleansing, I definitely recommend the avocado version

  Excellent cleansing effectiveness without causing skin tightness or irritation. It's the most perfect soap I've ever used in my life.

  The only downside is that it's made in Japan, which creates a psychological fear of potential radiation contamination.

  Pros

  I discovered this pure soap while searching for natural options. I was so excited when I first used it! It lathers well and has almost no scent. With no harmful ingredients, I feel safe using it. I mostly wash my baby with just water, but I use this soap to create a lather for their hands and feet. It leaves the skin feeling clean without drying it out.

  Cons

  While not all Japanese products are bad, there's still a slight uneasiness about it...

  Tip

  I'm trying to minimize chemical ingredients on my body and reduce the number of bathroom products. As a result, I like to use this for washing from head to toe. When used on hair, it can make it quite stiff, but if you rinse with a splash of vinegar and then rinse thoroughly with water several times, there's no vinegar smell and the hair becomes soft.
