I love that it contains active ingredients for brightening and wrinkle improvement The fragrance is a bit strong, and it feels quite rich on the skin after application - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2018
Great hydration power Moisturizing effect is excellent Lovely fragrance No blemishes The case looks luxurious and beautiful! It's a bit pricey There's some oiliness, so not recommended for those with oily skin Highly recommended for dry skin types! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2017
Hwahae Trial Reviewer Review🤗 The positive aspects were that at first, I thought it would be a watery toner-like texture, but when I applied it to my hand, it felt more like a lotion. Since I have dry skin, the absorption was quite fast, so I applied it and then added a little more later. It feels like it absorbs well into the skin, and my face seems to have a brighter glow. I haven't used it for a long time yet, so I'll have to use it a bit more to know for sure.^^ The disappointing aspect was that.. if it came in a pump-style bottle, it would be more clean and convenient, and the amount could be easier to control. And there's a slight oily residue, so I'm worried it might cause some breakouts... I was on my period that day, so I'm not sure if it was because of the product or just that day. I applied it thinly several times before bed, and the next morning, my face seemed a bit brighter.^^ The absorption is good, so applying it multiple times isn't burdensome! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 29, 2017
1. Spreadability: It is a very moisturizing type of essence with good absorbency. I applied it 5 times on the palm of my hand, without applying any cream, and then directly applied sunscreen, the Age 20's Cover Pact, and went to work. It feels great without any tightness on the face. 2. My skin type: Combination, but dry in the winter. These days, due to midday dryness in the office, I spray a mist once. 3. Impression: I was using the Mi* First Essence for 2 bottles, and I would layer it 3-4 times in the morning and evening. This one is much more moisturizing than the Mi*. 4. Glow: It gives a natural sheen. You can see the glow in the photo I took, even without applying any cream. 5. Scent: It has a similar sweet candy-like scent to the Age 20's Cover Pact. There are 2 concerning ingredients. I will definitely repurchase after finishing this. I want to buy it for my mom, and she likes this type of formula. For oily skin, there may be excess oil, so please take that into consideration. On days when you don't want to apply many products, for those doing a cosmetic diet, layering this a few times makes the skin feel very moisturized and nice. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinNov 27, 2017
The First Essence seems to be just right for dry-skinned people in their 30s and 40s - it's dense and moisturizing. The glow it gives is lovely. And it didn't cause any blemishes! It seems like a good choice for using in the winter. The bottle is a bit heavy, but not overly so. Since I don't usually take the full-size product when I travel, that's not an issue for me. The generous volume is great. I'll update on the whitening and wrinkle improvement effects after finishing the whole bottle. The scent is a bit strong for me. I'd prefer skincare products with a very light or no fragrance at all. It's a bit oily, so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types. I find it's more convenient for me to just apply it with my hands! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2017
After using the toner, it helped address the dryness from the toner. It might be too much for oily skin types... My face ends up looking shiny and greasy ㅠ Even when I shake it well before use, it still leaves an oily residue ㅠ I use it as a toner substitute, applying a small amount onto a cotton pad and wiping it on my face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2017
🌟Hwahae Trial Reviewer Review🌟 Now, two months later, the rating has been changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. - First, my skin type is combination (oily and dry) and sensitive. - As you can see in the photos, the cotton pads are thick and soft. - The packaging is also luxurious. - The box states that this is a total care first essence that cares for 6 conditions, so I'll evaluate it based on those 6 factors (radiance, hydration, skin texture, skin tone, elasticity, wrinkles). 📌I'll record an honest review, separating the pros and cons. 1. Radiance (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - The radiance is honestly like a glass skin effect! It's very glowy. As a dry-skinned person, I really like the glow. 2. Hydration (⭐️⭐️⭐️) -> Changed to 4 stars - This product has a somewhat thick and sticky formula. So the hydration lasts for a long time, forming a protective layer. 3. Skin Texture and Tone (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - First, the skin tone looked much more even. The skin texture also improved a lot, as there were fewer rough patches around my nose. 4. Elasticity and Wrinkles (⭐️⭐️⭐️) - Since I'm in my early 20s, I'm not sure about the wrinkles, but the thick and bouncy texture seems to be good for elasticity. My 50-year-old mother also said it feels plump and nice. 1. Radiance - This product has a lot of radiance, so it also has a bit of oiliness. Those with very oily skin may want to avoid it. 2. Hydration - Deleted as I found it to be good after long-term use. 3. Skin Texture and Tone - The skin texture and tone improved a lot, but it seems you need to apply this consistently to maintain the results. When you stop using it, the effects seem to revert. 4. Elasticity and Wrinkles - It seems good for elasticity, but may not have a significant effect on wrinkles. It's best to have moderate expectations for this aspect. 5. Other Points - Those who prefer fragrance-free products may not like the scent. - The absorption is quite slow. 😭😭 It's better to pat it in while applying. - The included cotton pads don't really go well with this product. It's better to use them separately for toning. - The packaging is heavy, and some product gets left on the container after use, which is a bit disappointing. Additional Points: - Fragrance: I was really pleasantly surprised by the fragrance. It's like peach jelly or a hint of conditioner. Personally, I really liked it. - The box says to use this as the first step, but it works better if you use it as the second or third step in your skincare routine. - The box instructions say to soak the included cotton pads and apply, but it's better to just pat it in with your fingers. - I would repurchase this product. ❤️This concludes the Hwahae Trial Reviewer's review!❤️ - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 17, 2017
I normally use the Madecassoside Fluid at the basic level, and the Signature First Essence felt just as gentle and moisturizing as the Madecassoside. At first, when I dispensed it into my hand, I thought it might be quite oily and might not suit my dry, sensitive skin. But after applying it, I didn't feel any stickiness or lack of absorption, and my skin felt moisturized and refreshed, as if I had a good night's sleep. While oily skin can vary greatly, I can imagine that for some with oily skin, after a good night's sleep, they may feel like an oil film has formed on their skin rather than just a moisturized feeling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2017
I've only used it a little, but I want to leave a review quickly! My skin is extremely dry, but at night, I layered this thinly and applied it twice, then followed up with an ampoule and cream. The next morning, my skin felt so soft and supple! After doing a 7-skin method, a face mask, and getting a good night's sleep, my skin condition that emerged was amazing, and I only used this for two days! 😻😻 Although the texture is creamy like a lotion for a first essence, when I apply it with a cotton pad, I don't feel much oiliness, and it spreads smoothly. As I'm getting older, I need to use a more nourishing base, but I don't like products that feel oily. Some feel slow to absorb and leave a residue, but this one absorbs quickly, and there's no oiliness left on my face afterwards! I didn't feel any tightness when applying it, but the next day, my skin was so soft - I love it! It's a bit too much for me to use in the morning! One thin layer with a cotton pad is fine, but if I apply a bit too much, when I touch my face, it feels like it's pilling up. This is the first time I've experienced this with a signature essence + ampoule + cream routine. It was so difficult to apply makeup that I had to wash my face and reapply it thinly. I find it more comfortable and better to use it at night. There's also a bit of oiliness, so it might be too heavy for those in their 10s to early 20s. It's probably better suited for those in their 20s to late 30s. After cleansing, apply it thinly twice with a damp cotton pad. Wait for a while, then apply your toner, ampoule, or cream. It won't feel dry, and your skin will look amazing. 😊 Despite some other downsides, the effects are so good that I'd give it five stars! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 4, 2017
I have combination & sensitive skin. I used to use the purple-capped Hera essence (can't remember the name), but it ran out in the winter, and I was about to buy it again when I went to the store and tested this product, and fell in love with it. It's simple yet moisturizing! I only buy products that I've personally tested, no matter how cheap or expensive they are. This one is great value for money. As soon as I apply it, my face just glows. It has good spreadability and absorption, and after applying it, my skin feels plump and nice. For oily skin, it might be too much in the summer, with the excess sebum. But it should be fine in the fall and winter. For those with extremely dry skin, try the Hera First Essence, Oil Serum, and 2 Way Makeup Base. Your skin will be as smooth as honey.
