The color is great as a base. It pairs well with most shades, making it perfect for gradient looks. It's versatile too - you can use it as a lip liner or even as a blush. I bought it after swatching on my hand because it looked so pretty, but I didn't realize it was ultra-matte. It's too dry for my liking. The nude shade combined with the matte finish really highlights dead skin cells on the lips. It applies quite stiffly on the lips. Since it's very matte, I'd strongly recommend testing it before purchasing. Personally, I prefer using it in combination with other products rather than alone. The color isn't too red, so it complements the skin well, making it gorgeous as a blush. When smudged, it blends into a natural-looking shade. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 20, 2019
Firm and bouncy texture. Works well for blending or as a base layer. Easy-to-apply shape. Nude tone without looking like you're wearing foundation. Pleasant vanilla scent. I've just realized the ingredients aren't the best, but I didn't find any other drawbacks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 30, 2017
I repurchased a different color, but the application and scent were the same, so I bought it again. I received it as a gift from a coworker and tried it out. At first, the color seemed a bit... odd? But it's perfect for creating a nude lip look or for gradient effects with very red lipsticks. For a matte lipstick, it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells much and has excellent staying power! It's quite affordable for a department store brand, making it great for both personal use and gifting. With a variety of colors and textures, there's a certain joy in choosing. The lipstick shape isn't round but has an angled edge, which makes it easier to apply even to the corners of the mouth! There really weren't any downsides. The fragrance, probably due to the perfume, is totally my style, and everything from the case to the price... it's all great! I took these photos after work at home, so excuse the messy lip lines... Anyway, the color is very nude as shown in the second picture. The third photo shows a gradient with the same Pure Color in Burning Love (320). Looking at it now, the blending isn't perfect, but you get the idea! It's great for mixing and using like this.
