The blue-tinted sunscreen blends well with my skin tone, providing a nice color correction.
ConsIt may appear unnaturally pale on those with darker skin tones.

It's moisturizing and evens out my skin tone without having to use a separate whitening cream.
ConsThe coverage and lasting power are not good either. The oiliness also comes back quickly. And there's a stinging feeling when I apply it. It's the first time I've felt this kind of stinging in a sunscreen ㅜㅜ Luckily, my skin didn't get irritated, so I thought it was just a temporary thing and used it several times, but ㅜㅜ looking at the Hwahae reviews, I see I'm not the only one.. It claims to be a sunscreen, but why is this happening.. Clair's ㅠㅠ It's a brand I trust.. Oh, and even if I use a slightly heavier base, it gets cakey!

It's packed to the brim! The contents are filled to the edges without any gaps. The texture is not watery, but slightly creamy, yet it applies so smoothly and softly. The coverage is not as heavy as a BB cream, but it does a great job of evening out my skin tone. I have some redness and sensitive skin, but it didn't make my skin look overly pale or uneven. I felt like I could just use this alone. The scent was also pleasant, though I can't quite describe it. It had a slightly cooling fragrance, almost floral? Anyway, the scent was quite nice to my nose.
ConsMy pores aren't huge, but I thought they weren't 'power pores' either. Turns out they were, and the product just sank right into them, as if advertising 'this is my pore'. I also felt like there was a bit of flakiness, so I tried exfoliating, but it still didn't seem to absorb well. After applying this, I started getting some blemishes on my face. So I kept using it for a week, but the blemishes are still stubbornly there. There was no itchiness or anything like that, but the breakouts were just not something I wanted. If it hadn't caused any troubles, I would have kept using it to blur my pores.

Most sunscreens make my eyes sting, tear up, and get bloodshot, making them hard to apply. But Claris doesn't irritate my eyes at all 👍👍👍 *With the inclusion of guaiazulene, the sunscreen has a bluish tint which helps correct reddish skin tones. I like it! Of course, if you apply too much, it can make you look too pale * I'm prone to breakouts with sunscreens, but this one doesn't cause any (Since I'm sensitive to breakouts, I'll update the post if I do get any) * It has a unique texture that I haven't seen before. I can't quite find the right words to describe it, but I agree with others that it has a 'fluffy' feel 👍 *The application is great, it feels good to apply 😘 It's like applying a soft gel, and after patting it in, it leaves a clean, tinted cream finish! *I'm thinking of trying this sunscreen with some foundation. I tried the Pongdang Moisture Tint 23 and it was a great combo!!💕 Since this sunscreen can make you look quite pale, the 23 shade balanced it out nicely! *The scent reminds me of the subtle aroma in a skincare salon, like a light floral aroma *The pastel-toned packaging is really pretty
Cons* When I applied it on skin with unexfoliated dead skin, it clung and looked a bit uneven (I recommend exfoliating well before applying) * Sunscreens say to apply an amount the size of a 500 won coin, but that's just not possible with this. It makes you look too pale and a bit suffocating. I could barely apply an amount the size of a 50 won coin * After wearing it for over 12 hours, it started to get oily and look a bit uneven
TipI'd recommend this to anyone who finds sunscreens irritating their eyes It whitens the skin more than most tinted creams these days So I'd highly recommend it to those who like that super bright, pale look It's great for correcting reddish skin tones as well!

First of all, the texture is really fascinating. It has a fluffy, creamy mousse cake-like feel, and that's why the application is so smooth and blendable. The color is also very pretty, a delicate pastel blue? When applied to the face, this blue tone seems to provide a color-correcting effect. It doesn't have much coverage, but it definitely brightens the complexion and reduces redness. However, some previous reviewers mentioned that it makes the skin look too pale. But for me, since I already have a fair complexion, it didn't look unnatural at all... This is something to keep in mind. My skin type is combination, with both dryness and oiliness, but the product had a nice, balanced finish without feeling too greasy or dry. Personally, I really appreciate this balanced feel, as I often find sunscreens that feel too moist at first but then become overly drying or oily later on. There was also no stinging or pilling issues.
ConsAs many reviews pointed out, there is noticeable emphasis on pores and flaky skin. I generally don't have much trouble with skincare products, but this was an exception. Especially on the nose and nose tip areas where my pores are more prominent, the coverage seemed to accentuate them, and no matter how I tried to smooth it out, it just wouldn't cover properly, so I ended up just roughly covering it with foundation. And while it's not a dealbreaker for me, the excessive brightening effect that makes the skin look almost white could be a downside for some... After all, sunscreen should be applied generously.
TipIf you properly exfoliate and use a good moisturizer and nourishing cream regularly to manage your pores, the pore emphasis and flakiness from this product can be reduced to some degree with other oil/silicone-based sun protection products. Even though my skin is already quite fair, it made me look quite pale, so I think I'll just use it on my neck to match the tone with my face.

It's neat and tidy. The texture is interesting - it's fluffy and airy. It looks like a sorbet, but it's actually like a pudding. It's a pale sky blue color, but when applied, it helps neutralize redness and has a tone-correcting effect! I recently came back from a trip to Jeju Island, so I'm quite tanned, but when I applied it, it made me look as white as if I had used BB cream. It's not sticky or greasy at all! It has less oil and more moisture. It's not waterproof, but when I applied it to the back of my hand and held it under running water without rubbing, it didn't immediately wash off. The water beads up and rolls off. I just received it today, so I haven't worn it out yet after doing my makeup. I'll try it out more and let you know! @Additional@ Today, - On the left is the sunscreen I normally use. - On the right is the Claire's sunscreen. I used the same cushion foundation on both sides. The sunscreen I normally use acts like a primer, controlling oil. - On the left, the finish is more matte. - On the right, the finish is more dewy. I still feel a bit of slippage, though! Around lunchtime when I touched up, - On the left, the T-zone and around the mouth area had slightly worn off. - On the right, oil came through and there was some fading around the nose and mouth. When I patted the cushion, - On the left, it went on naturally, but there was some patchiness around the nose. - On the right, the oil and foundation blended nicely for a clean finish. The right side did have some breakdown, but touching it up looked better than the first application! I like it more than when I first tried it.
ConsThe white cast is no joke ㅠ I tested this out, wiped off my makeup, and reapplied it while doing chores at home, and my husband was surprised - he said it was way too white ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I didn't even apply a lot, just three pea-sized amounts, but I couldn't apply more than a 500 won coin's worth ㅠㅠㅠ It does become a bit more natural-looking over time! I really should test out skincare products before buying them ㅠ Skin type makes such a difference in finding the right base and color cosmetics! ㅠ I patted the cushion foundation over the sunscreen, but it didn't seem to absorb and just sat on top, which surprised me ㅠ This sunscreen has a bit of a slippery, slow-absorbing feel, so I spent a lot of time patting it in before applying makeup, but it still just sat there... ㅠ I haven't gone out yet, so I don't know about the longevity, but I have a feeling I know how it'll go..
TipIt's best not to apply base makeup right after the sunscreen, but to wait for it to fully absorb into the skin first. Modern life is so rushed, but I don't have much patience either ㅋㅋㅋㅋ -Additional The intense white cast seems to be because the blue tones in the sunscreen help neutralize redness and give a more pallid appearance! At first, the base makeup and sunscreen didn't blend together well, but after a little while, it evened out nicely and the pallid look became more luminous. Of course, the pink-toned base makeup probably helps with that too. I think this sunscreen would be great for dry skin types to use year-round, and those with naturally lighter skin may not even notice the white cast as much.

My skin type is dry and sensitive. The packaging has a very refreshing color, and even the product itself is a blue color, which was surprising to me at first. I later learned that they added guaiazulene to give it that blue hue. The scent is just a typical sunscreen scent - neither good nor bad. It reminds me a bit of the Innisfree sunscreen scent. The texture is quite creamy and bouncy, unlike a typical sunscreen. I'd say it has a unique formulation. The application felt very gentle, which is great for my sensitive skin. The blue color seems to help with redness coverage, though not as much as a makeup base product, but still decent for a sunscreen. When I first apply the full recommended amount, it does feel a bit oily, but after about 30 minutes, it becomes nicely matte and non-shiny. Pros: The blue color provides decent skin tone correction (not extremely effective, but good for a sunscreen). The initial oiliness subsides and it becomes nicely matte after some time. It's very gentle, with minimal irritation. I haven't been using it for a full week yet, so I'll update my review after more usage.
ConsThose who dislike white cast may not like this. When applying the full recommended amount, the white cast is quite severe. It almost looks like I'm wearing Kabuki makeup when I first apply it and look in the mirror. It does become more natural-looking after some time, but the white cast is still quite noticeable. I'll continue using it and update my review again. ------- Interferes with makeup application Even when I just wear this sunscreen without any other makeup, it causes pilling and clogged pores. So I have to skip makeup and just wear this sunscreen on its own. Due to the severe white cast and pilling issues, I'm deducting one star.

Even though I have sensitive skin that is prone to acne, I didn't experience any breakouts or issues after using it. It's not greasy at all.
ConsWhile it's not greasy, it doesn't apply as smoothly and softly as I'd like. It's a bit thick and stiff. There is a white cast, and since it doesn't apply smoothly, you have to be really thorough when applying it, or else the base makeup can get patchy or cakey on top. But if you apply it carefully, it's fine. I use the Banila Co Prime Prime Fitting Cushion, and when I apply this sunscreen on top, the makeup around my mouth can get clumped and unsightly later on. The IOPE Protector Sun Cream I used before didn't have this issue, so you may want to keep that in mind.
Tip+ After using it for 3 weeks, an additional note: The white cast is so severe that I can never apply the recommended amount. If I do, I end up looking like a ghost, and I absolutely cannot put any makeup on top. But it seems gentle. Even after wearing it for long periods and layering makeup on top, I didn't experience any breakouts. And since it has a matte finish, the dewy base makeup I apply on top tends to stay more shine-free for longer compared to when I use other sunscreens. And while the ad claims it lowers skin temperature, I do feel a cooling sensation when I apply it. It's not an intense, immediate cooling, but more of a subtle 'ahhh' feeling after application. I'm not sure if I'll repurchase, since there are so many sunscreen options out there.
