It evens out my skin tone nicely without causing any dryness. Some people mentioned not liking the scent, but I found it perfectly fine. It applies with a greasy, shiny feeling. I think the centella asiatica ingredient doesn't agree with my skin, as it caused some redness to appear. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 30, 2022
It doesn't dry out my skin. I can easily touch up my makeup with this anytime, anywhere, just like using a compact. The scent is reminiscent of a medicinal odor that lingers, forcing you to smell it constantly when wearing a mask. It feels heavy on the skin. After applying it to my forehead, my eyelids gradually feel heavier and my eyes become uncomfortable over time. The oily sensation is thick and weighty. For quick touch-ups, I only apply it under my eyes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2022
I loved how I could easily and quickly apply this sunscreen cushion compact every 2 hours instead of traditional sunscreen. When you pat it on, the moisture droplets provide an instant cooling effect that calms the skin. The all-day glow and hydration make your skin look great. I was amazed at how it brightened my face and gave a radiant complexion without any white cast. It really makes your skin look good! Plus, it doesn't transfer onto masks and the glow lasts for a long time. I can't think of any downsides. I just find myself reaching for it more often now that the sun is getting stronger. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 12, 2021
Dry skin. Needed quick sun protection. Found this compact suncare product while searching for a convenient option. Pretty sky-blue case Easy-to-use compact form Moisturizing and smoothly absorbing sunscreen formula Unlike mesh-type sunscreens that dry out after patting and waiting a bit, this one stayed hydrated. Its slightly balm-like texture made it less drying. There wasn't really anything disappointing about it. Good amount of product, and the case is sturdy too. Perfect for quick sun protection - just pat it on and go - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 4, 2021
It's moisturizing and great for reapplying when outdoors instead of sunscreen. When your skin feels dry from air conditioning, reapplying this gives a hydrating boost that's perfect for touch-ups when your makeup starts to fade. It also has a slight brightening effect that evens out your complexion. It doesn't provide coverage. It won't conceal redness or blemishes, so you'll need to use a separate concealing powder for that. It's sufficient for a natural brightening effect. When first applied, it may look a bit white, but if you pat it in well with a puff, it gives a natural brightening moisturizer effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2021
I was looking for a compact or cushion-type sunscreen product and decided to try this one. First off, I love the simple case design. As someone with dry skin, I prefer moisturizing base products, and true to its name 'Essence Sun Pact', it leaves my complexion smooth with a beautiful glow. I'm really satisfied with how convenient and portable it is. I think it's a great value for money product. It's slightly lacking in terms of hygienic use, so you'll need to be careful when applying it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 22, 2020
It gives a subtle brightening effect and a nice glow, making your skin look healthier. The moisturizer absorbs well and feels hydrating. It doesn't leave your skin greasy or dry out your complexion. The amount is quite small, and you need to press the puff firmly to apply the product effectively. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2020
There's definitely the expected cooling effect, and it doesn't feel dry at all, nor does it feel sticky. You can sense the typical adherence of a balm-type product. Despite having a fairly high sun protection factor (SPF50, PA+++), it didn't irritate my skin, which is prone to contact allergies from certain ingredients. 1. Unsatisfied with skin appearance Based on reviews, I was most excited about its potential as a makeup base or for a bare-faced look, along with the cooling effect. However, in my experience, it's just a sunscreen with white cast and some brightening effect. The problem is that when applied, it seems to emphasize skin texture tremendously. While it's nice that it's not drying, the combination of sunscreen-like stickiness and accentuated texture makes my skin look unattractive. Although it doesn't significantly interfere with foundation or cushion application, I don't want to use this product with its characteristic heaviness of mineral sunscreens for makeup. I prefer using organic sunscreens without white cast and with a smoother texture for makeup. I intended to use this product when not wearing makeup, but it didn't work out. 2. Questions about the small amount and proper application for sun protection For liquid formulas, we're supposed to apply about two finger-lengths or a 500 won coin-sized amount, right? But this cushion balm formula is new to me, so I'm unsure how much to apply for effective protection. It's ambiguous because unlike solid formulas, you're not directly applying it to the skin, but using a puff as an intermediary. (It would have been helpful and increased trust in the brand if instructions were included on the packaging or product description, instead of just emphasizing that it's a new type of formula!) As a result, I ended up applying it twice all over my face, and now I can see the bottom of the container in less than a month. Honestly, it's disappointing, especially considering there are no refills and it's not particularly cheap. I won't repurchase, but why don't they sell refills separately? It doesn't seem environmentally friendly. This might be good for those with dry skin who can't use organic sunscreens. It could be suitable for people who dislike getting product on their hands, or for those who don't use powder in their makeup routine and want to apply sun protection over their makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 20, 2020
This product works great as a base. When I apply a drying foundation over it, it goes on smoothly and gives a lovely complexion. (I mainly used it in combination with Estée Lauder Double Wear.) While it gives a nice skin appearance, it seems to contain ingredients that clog pores, as I inevitably get blemishes. Considering most VT products have this effect on me, I think there must be a common ingredient in their formulas that doesn't agree with my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 3, 2019
As someone with dry skin, I needed a moisturizing formula that wouldn't flake off and a sunscreen I could reapply throughout summer. This product met both needs nicely. Even though I tend to use oily skincare products due to my dryness and apply them generously, this doesn't pill when I touch up my makeup! It gives a dewy glow and is great for frequent reapplication. Highly recommended for dry skin types. Overall, I definitely recommend it! I have very fair, cool-toned skin, so I was skeptical about the tone-up effect. Surprisingly, it still managed to brighten my complexion, but maybe a bit too much - my face looked extremely pale. There was even a slight bluish tint to my skin. However, this is really the only drawback I found. I'd suggest not reapplying more than three times a day. Otherwise, your skin keeps getting paler and paler...
