It spreads nicely and leaves a pleasantly matte finish. If you're looking for something without a white cast, this is it! The price is incredibly steep. Plus, many other brands now offer similar finishes, so it's not as unique anymore. There's no white cast. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 24, 2022
A blessing for dry skin without any eye irritation, but tragically discontinued to make way for a smart sunscreen that isn't even waterproof The abrupt discontinuation of this product made me lose faith in Shiseido's brand consistency, pushing me to explore other brands. Shiseido seems to have a habit of arbitrarily launching and discontinuing products on a whim - rk*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2022
No white cast and it applies smoothly, providing hydration for my slightly dry skin. I love how it finishes with a soft, matte feel. I've avoided other sunscreens due to their residual feeling, but this Shiseido ChaCha is moisturizing yet leaves a pleasant matte finish. It works great under foundation without any pilling. While I appreciate the non-sticky, matte finish, it stings quite a bit when applied around the eyes. Those with sensitive eye areas should probably avoid this product. - jo********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 14, 2022
It's so convenient to use after shaking! The application is smooth and easy. I'm not sure how well it protects, but at least it doesn't make my skin burn. - ey*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedOct 12, 2021
I tried a sample I received a long time ago - it's the one on the left in the photo. It made my skin look slightly brighter. At first, I thought it might be thick when squeezing it out, but it applied very smoothly, which I loved. The SPF rating is reliable too, so that's reassuring. It doesn't live up to the hype of being a famous product. It's just an okay sunscreen, and some people might feel the whitening effect looks more like a white cast. - p4****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 3, 2021
It leaves less of a white cast and doesn't wash off easily with sweat. It's great for daily use. The absorption could be a bit better. You need to pat it in with your fingers to apply it properly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2021
I highly recommend this for oily skin types. It has a refreshing feel, absorbs well, and doesn't leave a greasy finish. This is the only sunscreen I use - I've lost count of how many I've gone through! There's a slight burning sensation at first, which I've gotten used to over time. However, new users might be surprised by this initially. - de******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2020
What I liked: It's oily yet incredibly lightweight. Unlike heavy and suffocating sunscreens and creams, this feels light and adheres well to the skin, which I really appreciate. I have combination dehydrated skin that's oily in the T-zone and dry elsewhere, with sensitive and blemish-prone skin. I've been using this comfortably throughout summer without any blemishes. The oiliness lasts longer than expected, causing excess oil to surface in the T-zone area over time. Given my combination dehydrated skin, I might need to apply something different (like an oil-controlling sunscreen) to my T-zone. Personally, I apply this right after toner, skipping emulsion. If oil surfaces over time, I gently blot with oil-absorbing sheets. Those with dry skin can apply it after emulsion, while those with oily skin should adjust application based on their skin type. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2020
It's moisturizing and works well under makeup. As a sunscreen, it's lightweight and you get a generous amount. It might not be ideal for oily skin types. It worked well for me since I have dry skin, but there's a slight oiliness. For those with oily skin, I recommend the blue Centella version as a basic option. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 9, 2020
It doesn't sting or irritate even when applied around the eyes, making it pleasant to use. The fluid texture absorbs well with a gentle tapping motion. I've stopped using it due to a personal boycott... The price isn't exactly budget-friendly.
