I tried out some samples I received with my foundation purchase - I've collected enough to equal a full-size product! All the samples were in the mauve shade, which turns out to be a light sky blue primer. The color is similar to the Cezanne primer I've been using recently. The difference is that it's more subtle than Cezanne, with a less intense blue tint. I only applied it to my T-zone and butterfly zone, then put foundation on top. It helped control oil and made my makeup last longer. However, one downside is that I wish it came in a clear, colorless option. With only pink and mauve shades available, there's not much choice. I'm not a big fan of tone-up products. While the color options are limited, the performance is good, so I'd give it 4 stars. The primer's subtle tint helps even out the complexion without being too noticeable. It works well for combination dehydrated skin types, providing a good base for foundation while controlling excess oil. The product absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky, making it a good option for those who want a natural-looking glow without the heaviness of some other primers. - ji******Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 8, 2025
This is a multifunctional base makeup product that works as a sunscreen, primer, and makeup base - perfect for use before foundation. It has an opaque, sky-blue tint typical of standard sunscreens, with a slight coverage that focuses more on evening out the complexion rather than brightening. When applied, it helps unify uneven skin tones and creates a smooth canvas, preventing foundation from settling into fine lines. There aren't any significant drawbacks, but it can feel a bit heavy when applied around the eye area. - ro*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 1, 2025
I tried this as a sample. It applies smoothly with a moisturizing feel, and its blue tint helps even out the complexion and prevent darkening. It doesn't interfere with any base products you apply on top. Apart from the high price point, it's pretty good. If I had to suggest who might not need this, it would be those who don't like spending time on their base makeup or those who don't require any complexion correction. - ru******Combination SkinApr 11, 2025
The makeup applies beautifully and absorbs well, leaving the skin hydrated. The color payoff is also great. The price is absolutely wicked. There are many other alternatives available at a better value for money. - jn*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 28, 2025
When applied, it feels moisturizing, gives a nice glow, and helps makeup adhere well. It seems pretty good overall. I think it would work well if applied in the right amount. The price is high, and for that price range, there's nothing particularly special about it. There's not really anything that makes it stand out or worth splurging on! - ph******Oily SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 23, 2025
It has great staying power and adheres well to the skin, so I'm using it regularly. It's a bit on the oily side, which is slightly disappointing, and the texture is a bit thick, which is also a drawback. - bo*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 12, 2025
I have oily skin with occasional blemishes and redness. When I tested this product in-store, I loved it so much that I bought it. However, after purchasing, I feel like I might not be using it to its full potential. I couldn't really notice a significant difference between when I applied the product and when I didn't. - yo******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 22, 2024
I tested this at the store before buying and have been using it for about a year now. While it doesn't dramatically brighten your complexion, it evens skin tone nicely and absorbs well. There's no pilling, so even those who aren't makeup pros can apply it easily. It doesn't give an overly shiny finish either. The price is too steep. It's expensive even compared to similar department store products. This is something you should stock up on at duty-free shops. I wish it would neutralize yellow undertones a bit more. - ey*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 13, 2024
I tried out a sample and I'm really impressed! The color is this intriguing shade that's not quite purple, not quite blue - it's so unique and I love it. The tone correction is subtle but definitely noticeable. It evens out my complexion without being too heavy-handed. Plus, it absorbs really well into my skin. For me, it's more of a 'nice to have' rather than a 'must-have' product. I'm not convinced it's worth splurging on, especially given its price point. Also, it feels a bit rich on my skin - there's a noticeable oiliness to it. - yu**********Combination SkinRecommendedJun 14, 2024
The primer has a purple tint that slightly corrects redness. I used it with Armani foundation and they seem to work well together. At first, I thought 'Oh no, isn't it too shiny?!' But after finishing with powder, it has great staying power and gives just the right amount of glow. The price... the price!!! I've used quite a few samples, but if asked about repurchasing, I'd probably say no. However, if you use Armani foundation, they pair well together. Designer Lift! For combination dehydrated skin, it definitely feels quite rich, so be sure to use powder to set it.
