Among matte foundations, this one has faster fixing and better adhesion and hold compared to the more powdery types. Some may find it slightly stuffy, while others may feel it has great longevity. I mainly use it in the summer. It applies more moisturized if you use a flat brush instead of a puff. Compared to the recent matte foundations, this one has a thicker texture that requires a bit more control. I prefer foundations that don't differ much from my skin tone. I usually use Neutral 23, but when I want a brighter look, I'll go for Pink Beige 23 or the darker 21 or 22. This product matched the true 23 shade well, and the color and saturation were nicely balanced, giving a beautiful ivory tone. As it has a yellow base, it does have a slight luminous glow, but not too yellow and still looks pretty.
Cons
The fixation is very fast, so you have to apply it quickly. Using a puff makes it too matte, and I felt it applied better with a brush.

Originally, I wanted to buy the Double Wear instead of the Nude Watercolor, but people around me said it was too drying for me. But the color match was so perfect that I couldn't give up, so I ended up purchasing this product. I realized the two are completely different products, and the colors are different as well. Since my face tends to be reddish, the original version with more yellow undertones suited me better. But in terms of moisturizing and adherence, this one seems better for light, everyday application. The foundation I used before was the MAKE UP FOR EVER UHD Foundation, and the color match is almost the same. This product is a bit more runny, but the coverage seems a bit better. I'll have to see how the longevity is, since I just tried it today. And the color does seem a bit brighter... I usually use shade 23.
Cons
I tried it for the first time this morning, but I don't feel my face is dry or tight at all. And even though I have sensitive skin, I don't see any signs of breakouts coming up.
Tip
They say it's better to apply with a brush, but I'm known among my friends as a 'clumsy bear', so I just dab it on with a puff from the Daiso set without soaking it in water. Still, it applies thinly and naturally. I feel like soaking the puff in water would strip the moisture from my face, so I prefer not to do that.

The coverage is really good! I'm on my second one.
Cons
It's too matte for my dry skin..and it's a bit too dark for me, as I use shades 21-22. So I always mix it with another foundation! And the lid!!! The first time I used it, and the second time too!!! It breaks so easily, I'm taking off one star because of that!
Tip
When it's too matte, mixing it with another foundation or moisturizer works well :)

As I've aged, my face has become less oily, and the double-wear foundation I used to love has started to feel too drying, so I decided to try something new. To cut to the chase, the new foundation I've found is not as drying as the double-wear, and it applies beautifully even with a heavy hand. I plan to stick with this going forward. With the double-wear, I constantly had to touch up and monitor it throughout the day, but with this new "double-wear nude" formula, I don't have to worry about it as much. I also really appreciate that I don't have to put in as much effort into the base makeup. The reason I originally used the double-wear was that other products tended to wear off quickly and look cakey, but this new one is more hydrating than the double-wear while still having great longevity and not getting shiny (though I do always set it with powder). The color also looks more natural on me than the double-wear did - the "sand" shade is very flattering, even though I was worried it might look dull. I think the double-wear applies a bit more thickly, while this one blends in more seamlessly. As I mentioned in the tips, the shade names may be the same, but the actual colors can be quite different between the double-wear and double-wear nude, so be sure to swatch them before buying. I've often gone back to the double-wear after trying other foundations, but this time, I plan to repurchase the double-wear nude once I finish my current bottle. I'd recommend giving it a try if you haven't already!
Cons
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear the pump on your genuine product broke! That's really frustrating. It seems the pump caps on Estée Lauder foundations can be quite fragile. I wish they would make them more durable. And you're absolutely right, the double-wear nude foundation doesn't have the same full coverage as the original double-wear. If someone is looking for that level of coverage, they may be disappointed. But for someone like you who prefers a more natural, evened-out look, it sounds like the double-wear nude is a great match. The longevity and non-drying formula seem to work really well for your needs. I'm glad you're overall very satisfied with the double-wear nude, even if the packaging could be sturdier. Thanks for the helpful tip about the shade differences too - that's good to keep in mind when transitioning between the two formulas. Hopefully Estée Lauder will improve the durability of their pumps in the future.
Tip
Got it, it sounds like you have around a shade 22 skin tone. You were previously using the original double-wear foundation, and found the "bone" shade to be a good match - a bit brighter and more luminous, while the "warm vanilla" was a bit too dark. For the double-wear nude, you ended up getting the "sand" shade based on the store's recommendation, and it seems to be a perfect natural match for your skin tone, not too light or dark. The double-wear nude seems to run a bit lighter than the original, so definitely don't just go for the same shade you used before. And that's great that you've found the double-wear nude pairs nicely with a flat foundation brush! The Makeup Forever flat brush sounds like a great tool to really work the product into the skin. Buffing it out with a sponge afterwards to remove any brush strokes is a smart tip. I'll have to give that application method a try myself. Sounds like you've really found a winning combo with the double-wear nude and the right tools. Thanks for sharing your detailed feedback - it's super helpful for anyone else considering making the switch from the original double-wear.

It's so moisturizing This is exactly the type I wanted to buy, a runny formula.
Cons
I still have clogged pores, maybe because I have large pores.

The color was a perfect match for my skin tone. Compared to the regular Double Wear Foundation, this had a slightly more yellow-based tone, so the color matched me really well. And for my combination skin, it didn't get oily or cakey in the summer, and provided a nice, natural-looking coverage!
Cons
Fundamentally, the ingredients themselves are a bit disappointing.

The makeup applies smoothly and seamlessly, giving a natural and effortless look.
Cons
The longevity could be a bit better. It feels moisturizing when applied, but tends to become slightly matte over time.

I would definitely recommend this to those with dry skin!! The coverage seems to be around 21-23, which is just perfect for me. I purchased this product because I wanted to try a natural-looking foundation. I bought it just before spring arrived, but I think this would be great to use in the fall and winter when you need a bit more oil control. Another plus is that it applies very thinly and smoothly without caking.
Cons
For those of us with combination skin, it might be a bit too much for spring and summer. You might need to set it with powder after application. And most importantly, the coverage seems to fade a bit throughout the day.

First of all, I really like that the base is not too thick! The longevity and the way it breaks down beautifully is amazing, just like Estée Lauder. It's a very fluid product, so the coverage isn't as good as the existing Double Wear. But for a fluid product, it's still quite usable :) Before, I wanted something with good coverage even if it was a bit thicker. But after trying it, I like how lightweight it is, how well it expresses the skin, and how natural the finish is, so I think I'll keep using it :) I'll use it alongside the existing Double Wear, depending on the need! The price may be a bit burdensome when purchasing it for the first time, but surprisingly, the quantity is a lot and the quality is satisfactory, so in the long run, it's not expensive at all! The photo is of my left hand! I wanted to include a face photo, but my camera wasn't working...
Cons
Compared to the existing Estée Lauder, the coverage is significantly lower (But it's not bad compared to other fluid products!) It's fluid, so a pump is absolutely necessary. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

The coverage and skin tone durability are top-notch! It applies more moisturizing than the usual Double Wear, so I've been using it well this winter^^
Cons
I don't have any major issues yet, but I'll probably have to switch back to the Double Wear foundation in the summer...
