It's matte but doesn't look cakey, has great staying power, and provides good coverage even with a thin layer. I also love that it doesn't contain any pore-clogging ingredients. The shade is a nice pink-beige color. I used to use the Double Wear Cool Vanilla shade, but I wanted to try a brighter color. However, this one is too pink and makes my face look flushed! I'm mixing it with my other foundation for now, but I don't plan to repurchase it. - sd*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 19, 2021
Coverage: 4/5 Longevity: 4/5 Color: ???... Personally 2/5 Need I say more? This foundation has reigned supreme as the epitome of excellent coverage and longevity for decades. If you master the amount, you can achieve a somewhat... effortlessly chic look with natural coverage (;;) which I suppose is a plus. Anyway... that's how it is... The finish changes dramatically depending on how much you use, so I can see why makeup artists carry at least two of these (actually, my sister is a makeup artist and she has two, so that's how I know). But seriously, the color... I know Estée Lauder's other shades have received a lot of feedback for being too yellow, and I get that they've taken that feedback into account, but... does anyone else feel like they've gone to the other extreme? This is way too red! If their other colors were 'Simpson family' shades, this one is like Apeach (specifically Baby Apeach... you know, the infant version). I mean, come on... I just want a human skin tone... If you mix it with the 'Simpson' shades, it's less red. But then you'd need two Estée Lauder foundations. + While I'm at it, I've tried several shades of this foundation, and except for this one and Shell, even the cool shades end up being variations of the Simpson family... yellow.. - sa**********Normal SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2021
It applies thinly and has great staying power. The coverage is decent, and even if I put on makeup around 6 PM and wear a mask, my skin doesn't break down much when I take it off at lunchtime. Even if it does break down, it does so gracefully. Plus, there's a wide range of beautiful shades to choose from. First off, it's expensive. Also, it can be tricky to apply nicely at first. If you're not careful, it might just sit on top of your skin. You really need to prep your skin with a very hydrating base. It works best if you moisturize well and use a hydrating base. Try dampening your puff or spraying it with a facial mist before application. Setting it with powder will help it last even longer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
It covers well, has good staying power, and is perfect for summer wear When I apply Petal, my skin looks like it's on fire. I might need to mix it with other foundations - ge************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
A petal-like shade with less yellow undertones A foundation with excellent adherence and long-lasting power A perfect summer foundation that's matte, adheres well, and has great staying power - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2020
The coverage and staying power are truly unbeatable. My skin looks flawless from morning till night. It covers small blemishes and minor skin issues without needing concealer, and even helps with redness. It's perfect for daily use in summer, especially when you've done a thorough skincare routine beforehand. It's so drying that I always have to mix it with another foundation. It tends to settle into fine lines and pores, and on my peach fuzz, it can look quite obvious that I'm wearing makeup. Sometimes it gives the impression of heavy, cakey makeup. It works well when mixed with a more hydrating foundation, or if you prep your skin with extra moisturizing and glowy products before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2020
Coverage: Excellent / Essential for stage, outdoor events, or summer Hydration: Lacks moisture. Make sure to apply a solid base skincare routine! Longevity: No need for touch-ups It can be drying. The shade range is limited. Potential for emphasizing fine lines? I'm satisfied with mixing this BB cream with Miba BB cream and a pink-toned sunscreen with a slight white cast in a 1:1:1 ratio. It provides both hydration and good coverage - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 18, 2019
The color matches my skin tone perfectly. The best part is how beautifully it sits on my skin even when I'm sweating and my complexion is dewy. The price is jaw-dropping, and I strongly advise against it for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2019
While browsing in-store, I spotted a pink shade and swatched it on my hand. Once home, I scoured the internet for more info! I agonized over the color choice, especially with so few reviews available. Initially, I bought Ivory Nude, but it gradually turned yellowish, making my face look more sallow than my neck. So I switched to Porcelain, which matched my complexion perfectly! However, as I used it, I noticed a grayish undertone. Back to shopping - I got Cool Vanilla! Despite concerns about it being too yellow, it looked beautiful. This led me to buy Petal too! I'm absolutely obsessed with this foundation. I worried it might be too dark, but the shade is natural and gorgeous. It's delightfully pink! Surprisingly, it seems to brighten up even more over time, giving a natural, radiant look. The color is just lovely. Don't hesitate to buy it! By the way, after trying various options, I think Double Wear is truly the best! There are no downsides. Absolutely none! If I could, I'd buy even more shades. If you moisturize well before application, it won't dry out your skin. Don't worry, just go for it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 21, 2019
The coverage is really impressive. It adheres well to the skin and has a nice powdery finish. If your skincare routine isn't solid, it might not sit well on the skin. It tends to accentuate dead skin cells quite often. When testing, check for darkening after some time has passed. Also, since it doesn't come with a pump, consider purchasing one separately.
