I'm not sure... It's not that great. The texture feels like it has oil applied to it. Rather than a thick, creamy yogurt-like white color, it feels slippery and oily, like a body oil has been applied. (I just wrote about the texture here since I need to write at least 20 characters for the positive points.)

I bought it when Olive Young had a sale, since my lips are usually dry, I thought it would be good for getting through the winter. Since it's an Avène brand, I thought it would be good for my lips too. The day I bought it, I applied it generously and went to bed. The next morning, my lips were immediately swollen and stinging. I don't know if it was an irritation or what, but after just one use, I immediately gave it to my sister. But my sister uses it well too. By the way, my sister has oily skin. (I'm not sure if it's related to skin type.)

You can immediately feel the exfoliating effect! When applied to the lips, it works wonders in the winter 👍👍 It's my holy grail product:)

Since the formula is a bit greasy, if you apply lipstick right after using this, you might end up with a yogurt-like effect:(

It's good that it's moisturizing and not too heavy right after application.

I always carry lip balm because I dislike having flaky lips. I tried the SOS cream on a whim since it was packaged together, and I found that it effectively exfoliated the flakiness and provided good moisture. I think it worked well for me. If you're frustrated by flaky lips, I recommend giving it a try.
Cons
When using lip balm, I've noticed that sometimes there's a white buildup around the lip line, and small bumps appear around my mouth.
