ConsFor me, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. First off, the fragrance is extremely irritating, and when I use this product, it feels like it's clogging my pores. Instead of absorbing, it seems to sit on top of the skin, and when it mixes with natural oils, it creates a heavy, suffocating feeling that leads to closed comedones. I bought it for $40 at Olive Young, only to find it discounted by more than half on internet sites. I had considered reordering after trying it, but even at half price, it just doesn't work for my skin, so I decided against it.

I was using basic skincare for my summer routine, and this ampoule came at a great price. It definitely gave me a feeling of deep hydration. The texture is like thin mucus, with a balance of moisture and oil. Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't break out. Instead, it seemed to balance my oil and moisture, actually improving my skin. As someone with oily skin, I rarely use ampoules, but after trying this, I'm considering buying one. That's how good it is.
ConsThe scent is the biggest letdown... it's that typical cosmetic smell you'd expect. Also, it doesn't seem to absorb as well as I'd hoped. It feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin. And the price point isn't particularly competitive... There are many ampoules out there now with good ingredients at lower prices.
TipTo improve absorption, warm your hands and gently press the product into your skin!

As someone with sensitive and dehydrated skin prone to small bumps (no major acne), I have some skin texture issues. I was initially skeptical about the sample size, but I was pleasantly surprised. After cleansing, I applied this serum right after toner, and my skin didn't feel tight even without additional products. As someone with sensitive combination-dry skin who finds multi-step routines tedious, I was impressed that this serum alone provided sufficient hydration.
ConsComing from fragrance-free products for sensitive skin, the scent of this serum was quite noticeable. It might be too strong for some. When applied alone after toner, it felt like it wasn't fully absorbing - almost like applying glue. By the third day, I noticed tiny bumps appearing around my mouth, forehead, and under-eyes. My skin texture seemed more pronounced, and my pores looked enlarged. The panthenol, known for its soothing properties, didn't seem to help. I'm not sure which ingredient caused the issue, but it might be the fragrance or phenoxyethanol. While it may offer good value for some, I personally wouldn't spend $40 on this product again. I apologize, but it just didn't work for my super sensitive skin.
TipAs someone with sensitive skin, I usually exfoliate with mud masks and exfoliating toners. When the bumps appeared, I tried using this serum after exfoliation, followed by a centella cream and moisturizer, which helped calm my skin a bit. I persevered with the serum for a week despite the initial reaction. It doesn't pill under makeup and keeps my skin from feeling dry. This might work well for those with oily skin, robust skin types, or anyone looking to simplify their routine with a lightweight yet hydrating product. For those with sensitive skin, finding a product that doesn't cause a reaction is a eureka moment! We're often grateful just for products that don't irritate our skin. If you have extremely sensitive skin, especially to fragrances, proceed with caution. Stay strong, fellow sensitive-skinned friends!

My skin is super sensitive and combination dehydrated. I'm a fan of the Lirikos Marine Energy line, so I was really excited to try this! The scent might be hit or miss for some, but I love it. I think it would be great for dry skin during seasonal changes and winter months.
ConsIt's a bit sticky! Instead of deep hydration, it feels like it just makes the skin surface shiny. As someone who doesn't like oily textures, I found it uncomfortable. Also, I think the amount you get is too small for the price.

This is a review from a Hwahae Tester. I used the product for about 3 days. I couldn't bear to use it any longer than that. The application is smooth and moisturizing. It feels like it creates a protective moisture barrier. It didn't cause any blemishes.
ConsIn my opinion, the fragrance is not pleasant. Rather than deeply hydrating, it feels like it's just coating the surface. It seems to sit on top of the skin. Instead of being pleasantly rich, it feels heavy and sticky.
TipI think it might work better if mixed with a water-based toner.

The consistency isn't too runny, making it easy to control the amount. 2. It applies smoothly and evenly. 3. The scent is pleasant and not overwhelming. 4. While it feels a bit sticky right after application, it becomes velvety soft after a short while.
Cons1. It's quite sticky. 2. It creates a film on the skin that feels moisturizing on the surface but leaves the deeper layers dry. 3. It makes the skin oily over time. 4. It can cause blemishes to appear. 5. It leads to dead skin cells building up. 6. The price is on the expensive side.

When I saw an event on Hwahae, I jumped at the chance! It's been 4 days since I started using it, and I haven't experienced any blemishes or other issues. 1. Texture It's not super watery, but rather has a collagen-like consistency. It's easier to apply and control the amount compared to water-based formulas. I like that there's no waste. 2. Application It glides on smoothly, making it easy to apply. 3. Size They sell a small 30ml size, which is great for those who want to test it out before committing. I just realized that the kit in the photo is actually full-size!
ConsDrawbacks: 1. Scent As you can see from the ingredients, it has a distinct smell. It's similar to the Hera Black Cushion scent, so I think it might be Amore Pacific's signature fragrance. As someone who prefers unscented products, this is disappointing. 2. Hydration It doesn't feel like it's deeply absorbed. Instead, it's more like it creates a barrier on the skin's surface, leaving the deeper layers feeling dry. I'm using another hydrating ampoule, and I find this one less hydrating. (The product is marketed as a moisture-sealing, high-hydration ampoule, so its main function seems to be creating a barrier rather than providing deep hydration) 3. Stickiness Because it's more gel-like than watery, it feels stickier. If you dislike sticky textures, I wouldn't recommend this. 4. Oiliness It takes time to absorb, and it leaves a lot of oil on the face. Even after applying a moisturizer on top, it still feels slippery. I'm still getting used to it, but I'd recommend using it at night rather than in the morning.
TipMake sure to test a sample first! You can request samples when buying from Lirikos' direct sales channels. I've heard that Lirikos is considered the best ampoule among Amore Pacific brands. Apart from the oiliness and scent, I'm satisfied! I'd like to try their other ampoules too.
