First off, I have combination dehydrated skin. As the seasons changed, I felt like my skin lacked hydration even after applying ampoules and creams. That's when I started using this ampoule, and I could feel it protecting my skin. It doesn't feel too heavy either. Since I've been using this product, the deep dryness in my face has disappeared.
ConsThe scent is a bit disappointing. When I first smelled it, there was an artificial fragrance that made me wonder if it might not be good for my skin. However, I'm still using it because it's effective. You get used to it after a while.
TipIn my routine, I apply this ampoule and a rich emulsion in the morning. In the evening, I use a hyaluronic acid ampoule followed by a hydrating moisturizer. I feel like my skin has become firmer since I started using it. I definitely recommend it!

It gives a nice glow without feeling sticky. After application, my face doesn't feel tight at all! As you can see in the photo, when I bought one ampoule, they also included a toner and cream as gratis.
ConsIn my opinion, the scent was a bit like perfume. The fragrance is somewhat disappointing.

I highly recommend it to those with extremely dry skin who struggle with foundation flaking off even after applying layers of skincare in the cold autumn and winter months. Application: The texture is quite nice. At first, you might think 'Oh, this ampoule is quite thick', but when you apply it, you'll feel a perfect balance of hydration and richness. There's a slight sticky feeling, but not enough to make tissues stick to your face. The stickiness mostly disappears after a while. Absorption: While some reviewers mentioned that absorption could be better, I find that about 30 minutes after application, it's completely absorbed with no stickiness left. This might be because I have very dry skin, but from my perspective (as someone with deep dryness and extreme dryness), I think it absorbs well. Hydration: Do I even need to say it? I can apply foundation right after using this. It's absolutely fantastic for hydration and protecting the skin barrier. I've tried many ampoules, but the Laneige Waterfall's hydrating power is unbeatable. Price: I believe I purchased it for around 20,000 won during an Olive Young sale. Laneige always seems to be on sale when I run out!
ConsScent: The fragrance is quite strong and very floral. Not recommended for: To be honest, I'm not sure. I recommended it to my friend with very oily skin, and she said it helped reduce her acne. Even my friend with sensitive skin said it wasn't bad.
TipFor those with extremely dry skin, definitely mix this with your toner before applying makeup. I promise your foundation won't flake off! Applying it before bed is a must.

ConsFor me, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. First off, the fragrance is extremely irritating, and when I use this product, it feels like it's clogging my pores. Instead of absorbing, it seems to sit on top of the skin, and when it mixes with natural oils, it creates a heavy, suffocating feeling that leads to closed comedones. I bought it for $40 at Olive Young, only to find it discounted by more than half on internet sites. I had considered reordering after trying it, but even at half price, it just doesn't work for my skin, so I decided against it.

Combination - T-zone: Normal to oily / Cheeks: Very dry - One application of toner or emulsion is enough for the forehead - Cheeks feel dry no matter what or how many times you apply 2. Sensitive (varies depending on skin condition) - Irritants: Witch hazel, citrus/aromatic oils - Milia: Shea butter, citric acid Hydration: The most hydrating serum I've used this fall and winter. Even those with dry skin will be satisfied. Applying it twice followed by a good moisturizer feels like you've done everything possible to combat dryness. After application, skin feels slightly oily, similar to using an oil-infused toner or emulsion. For me, applying it twice was ideal - three times felt excessive. Despite the oily surface, it didn't cause milia or other issues.
ConsScent: It has that strong 'dad's cosmetics' scent I haven't smelled in ages. It's reminiscent of strong bathroom toiletries... As someone who dislikes strong fragrances, the fact that it contains fragrance and smells like 'dad's cosmetics' was disappointing every time I used it. Overall: I want to deduct two stars for the fragrance and ingredients (parabens, acids), but it's so hydrating that I'm giving it 4 stars. For those with normal skin, this alone might be sufficient.

Although it's an ampoule, it feels like a lightweight oil. It's great for those with very dry skin who find regular oils too heavy or don't typically get along with oils.
ConsThose who prefer ultra-hydrating ampoules without an oily feel might have mixed feelings about this product. The scent is also quite strong. As someone who usually uses fragrance-free cosmetics, I found the fragrance to be more noticeable.
TipAfter using a hydrating mask, finish with this ampoule. Your makeup will apply beautifully the next day!

It's pleasantly hydrating, perfect for use during seasonal changes. 2. The texture is delightfully thick and bouncy, just the way I like it. 3. It absorbs well with continued patting, without sitting on top of the skin. This helps prevent that deep dryness feeling.
ConsThe scent is a major letdown. As I mentioned in the survey, while the functional aspects of the ampoule are excellent, the artificial medicinal smell seems poorly masked by fragrance. The cover-up attempt falls short. Every time I roll it between my hands, I'm hit with an intensifying scent that's reminiscent of paint with a layer of perfume on top. If they could eliminate the fragrance or effectively neutralize the base scent, this could become a best-in-class cosmetic product.

I was using basic skincare for my summer routine, and this ampoule came at a great price. It definitely gave me a feeling of deep hydration. The texture is like thin mucus, with a balance of moisture and oil. Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't break out. Instead, it seemed to balance my oil and moisture, actually improving my skin. As someone with oily skin, I rarely use ampoules, but after trying this, I'm considering buying one. That's how good it is.
ConsThe scent is the biggest letdown... it's that typical cosmetic smell you'd expect. Also, it doesn't seem to absorb as well as I'd hoped. It feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin. And the price point isn't particularly competitive... There are many ampoules out there now with good ingredients at lower prices.
TipTo improve absorption, warm your hands and gently press the product into your skin!

Instead, it has a rich, almost sticky hydration that's overflowing. Honestly, I don't think it's the kind of hydration that oily or combination skin types would enjoy. However, I strongly recommend it for dry skin types. I was curious how it would work on dry skin, so I tried it on areas with less oil and more dryness like my neck and the back of my hands - it was perfect! No words needed. As the ampoule slowly absorbs into the skin, you can feel that rich, bouncy hydration I mentioned earlier! ✔️Absorption I'm still unsure if this varies by skin type or if it's just how this product works... My skin is combination, with a bit of oiliness, and when I apply this ampoule, it doesn't absorb well and seems to sit on top of my skin. But as I mentioned earlier, it absorbs incredibly well on drier areas like the back of my hands or neck. It almost feels like a product specifically targeted for dry skin. ✔️Blemishes This is really funny - I only realized later through other reviews that this product doesn't absorb well for combination skin like mine. When I applied it, it didn't absorb and left my skin so shiny, I thought I'd wake up to a breakout party the next day. But surprisingly, while my skin was still glowy the next morning, there were no blemishes at all! I really expected my pores to clog and my skin to react badly due to the excess oil, but even after a day or two, no blemishes appeared. It felt more like I'd slept with a nourishing pack on. In the end, as you can see from the Hwahae ingredient analysis, there aren't many components likely to cause blemishes, so it wasn't bad! ✔️Overall I only applied it before bed, and it always felt like sleeping with a slightly rich and sticky mask on. You might wake up with an oily face, but after cleansing, I noticed my complexion looked a bit clearer and my skin seemed more elastic compared to when I didn't use the product.
Cons✔Scent, Unpleasant Smell The smell is somewhat reminiscent of old-fashioned men's toner. It's definitely a scent that people will either love or hate, and I really, really disliked it. ✔️ONLY for Evening Use (Oily/Combination Skin) Absolutely can't use it in the morning! If you use it in the morning, your skin will be excessively shiny. For oily & combination skin types, I recommend using it only at night. To be honest, even at night, it absorbs too slowly and feels sticky for me, requiring some patience. But after using it a few times, as I mentioned above, it just feels like sleeping with a rich, sticky mask on. ✔️Not Recommended for Super Sensitive Skin When I first used it, my skin felt a bit itchy. I was selected as a Hwahae Tester, so even though it felt itchy and didn't absorb well on the first day, I continued using it for a few more days. However, those with sensitive skin should be cautious! (Fortunately, the itchiness only occurred on the first day and disappeared afterwards.)
TipIt's fine for dry skin types, but for oily/combination skin, I recommend using it only for night care. I even applied this ampoule after toner and finished my skincare routine there... I couldn't layer any emulsion or cream on top of it. And really, just a tiny bit is enough! If you apply too much without knowing, well...

I've been using it continuously since October 28th until now (November 5th). Here are the positives: 1. The texture is just right. Some creams are too runny and drip, while others are too solid and difficult to apply. This one has the perfect consistency. It spreads easily. 2. It provides sufficient hydration. The moisturizing power is great. When I apply it at night, my skin stays hydrated until morning. 3. It feels moisturizing when applied. (However, there's a downside - it becomes quite sticky after application)
ConsThe drawbacks are: 1. It becomes very sticky after application. While it feels moisturizing during application, it gets quite sticky once it's fully applied. That's why I only use it at night. If you toss and turn a lot in your sleep like me, your hair will easily stick to your face. 2. The fragrance is quite polarizing. Personally, I'm not a fan, but you do get used to it with continued use. 3. It's disappointing that the ingredients list includes several of the 20 cautionary components. It's best to carefully check the ingredients and see if there are any that don't agree with your skin before choosing this product. 4. Personally, I experienced some itchiness after application. 5. The price is higher than expected.
TipI found it works better to apply just a small amount and then layer a lighter cream on top, rather than applying too much of this product alone.
