ConsIt doesn't apply smoothly. There's some pilling, and it's a bit of a hassle having to finish up with your hands to help it absorb after application

ConsIt runs out so quickly... You need to pack at least two when traveling. Also, it doesn't absorb immediately, so if you're wearing dark clothes, it leaves white marks everywhere, which is a disaster.

Plus, it has a lovely fragrance!
ConsHowever, it doesn't feel like it's absorbing into the skin, more like it's sitting on top. When I'm working, my arms slide on the desk if they touch it!

It has a subtle, refreshing aloe scent. - Unlike regular sunscreens that require squeezing onto your hand or inevitably getting on your hands when applying to your face, the Nature Republic sun stick eliminates the need for messy hands! It's incredibly convenient to use and easy to carry around. - Among stick sunscreens, its curved shape makes it even more convenient for facial application. - It applies well without pilling over skin emulsion, so it has good absorption when used alone after your skincare routine. It's also a non-white cast product, making it comfortable and easy to apply.
Cons- It doesn't seem to absorb particularly well. Immediately after application, foundation tends to sit on top, and powdery makeup products like eyeshadow and powder tend to clump when applied over it. - It becomes unexpectedly oily over time. As hours pass, it produces quite a bit of oil, so those with very oily skin might want to avoid this product. - It seems slightly irritating. Although I've only used it for a week, so I can't be certain, I noticed redness and sensitivity developing on my cheeks. I wouldn't recommend this for those with highly sensitive skin.
Tip- I strongly recommend allowing sufficient time for the product to absorb before applying makeup, rather than applying makeup immediately after the sunscreen.

It's definitely a must-have for this scorching weather we're experiencing. When applied, it feels like it creates a light protective layer on the skin, giving me peace of mind. It's also gentle enough that I haven't experienced any blemishes or skin issues. This product applies incredibly thin and transparent on the skin.
ConsIf you're not a fan of sticky products, you might want to steer clear of this one! While I mentioned it forms a thin layer, personally, it feels like it sits on top of the skin rather than absorbing well. Despite its name, it doesn't exactly leave a powdery finish. Because of this, I tend to use it more on my body than my face. Also, being a sunstick, it seems to get used up pretty quickly... I've already gone through about a fifth of it in just a week.

The texture, true to its name, is incredibly powdery and slightly soft. Because of this, even though it comes with a protective cap, the sunstick was a bit stuck to it when it arrived. When applied, it feels truly powdery, but with a slight richness? There's also a subtle feeling that it doesn't fully absorb. As for how it works under makeup, I can't say for sure since I haven't been wearing makeup lately! The scent is reminiscent of a soothing gel or cucumber? It has a somewhat enigmatic smell. I didn't love it or hate it - it was just okay for me. However, those sensitive to fragrances or who dislike cucumber might not appreciate it. The stick's curved shape makes it easy to apply, and I love that it doesn't leave a white cast! However, after checking the ingredients on Hwahae, they're not the best, so I'll probably use it mainly on my body.
ConsThe fragrance and ingredients are a bit disappointing. Also, when you apply the sunstick, it doesn't feel like it's absorbing - there's a slight sensation of it sitting on top of the skin.
TipAll the photos below were taken after applying the sunstick!

However, it can be a bit annoying as it tends to stick to the lid when you open the product, requiring you to remove it each time. True to its name as an Aloe Vera Powdery Sun Stick, it feels moisturizing yet powdery. It goes on hydrating, but that moisture quickly evaporates, leaving a powdery finish. As a result, if you apply it thinly, it's not sticky at all and feels lightweight. The scent is quite strong with aloe vera notes. I personally enjoy the aloe scent, but those sensitive to fragrances might find it overwhelming.
ConsThe biggest disappointment was the eye irritation. After about two to three hours of wear, I experienced significant eye discomfort. I tried it a couple more times with different skincare routines to rule out other factors, but the eye irritation persisted, so I couldn't continue using it on my face. Additionally, it felt like it wasn't absorbing into the skin properly, instead sitting on top, which made my face look oily. While a thin layer doesn't feel sticky, applying multiple layers can result in a noticeably tacky sensation.
TipI don't think I'll be able to use this on my face, but it should work well as a body sunscreen! It's easy to apply, and the biggest advantage is that you don't need to spread it with your hands, which is a major plus in my opinion!

My skin type is combination dehydrated with an oily T-zone and genetic nasolabial folds. My top priority for sunscreen is a matte finish. I usually use Cla*ins and Dr. J*. Application: The curved shape makes it easy to apply on both face and body. I have freckles and blemishes on my cheeks, so I'm very thorough with sunscreen application. It's great for covering areas like cheekbones and around the nose without missing spots. The stick is quite firm, so it doesn't smudge or pill even after multiple applications. It's not too stiff either, gliding on smoothly. I'm fairly satisfied with how it applies. Because it's firm, the product lasts a long time even with frequent use. Scent: This might be polarizing. There's a strong aloe scent, like you've applied a generous amount of aloe soothing gel. The scent lingers for hours after application. I don't particularly like or dislike it, so it doesn't bother me much, but those sensitive to fragrances might find it noticeable. I wish it was slightly less fragrant. Portability: Excellent. The size is just right and feels comfortable in hand. The amount seems quite generous. There's a silicone-like seal inside the cap, making it hygienic and easy to open and close cleanly. It's well-designed to prevent smearing or crumbling. The design is slightly old-fashioned, but it's perfect for touch-ups on the go. This is its biggest advantage! Effectiveness: Although I've only used it for two weeks and haven't seen significant results yet, it's easy to apply and carry around. That's really this product's main strength! It allows me to reapply thoroughly multiple times where sweat has worn it off, easing my worries about sun exposure. When I'm not wearing makeup, this alone is enough to forget about sun protection worries. It's great for quick application everywhere! So if applied diligently, the effectiveness should be good.
ConsThe biggest drawback is... it's not suitable for my combination dehydrated skin type. For someone who prefers a matte finish like me, this product makes my T-zone even oilier. It's not extremely sticky, but after application, it feels like it stays on the skin's surface without absorbing. The initial slight sheen remains even after several hours. When applied to the back of my hand, that glossy area stays put. Fortunately, it doesn't cause blemishes. So on makeup-free days, I just gave up on that aspect and applied it liberally for sun protection. This product might be more suitable for those with dry skin. Also, as a pure sunscreen, it has zero white cast or coverage. Disappointingly, it doesn't cover my freckles at all. For now, this product is a pass for my combination dehydrated face. I'll probably use it to protect my body from now on. Since it's waterproof, I'll be satisfied using it to thoroughly defend every inch of my body from the sun during outdoor activities this summer. It seems like there's enough product and functionality to last the whole summer season.

Unlike sunscreens with white cast that can make makeup look unnatural if not absorbed properly, this allows for seamless makeup application. ❗️It's so convenient! Applying this takes much less time than traditional sunscreen and is more efficient. ❗️Being waterproof is a huge plus. As summer approaches, it's great that it doesn't run with sweat. ❗️The cap doesn't open easily, making it perfect for on-the-go use. Some products' caps tend to come off in your bag, making a mess, but this one seems secure.
Cons‼️ When applied, the sunstick feels like it's sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing. It might be due to its rich texture. ‼️The aloe and cucumber scent lingers for a while! It's not artificial or unpleasant, but it stays noticeable, especially when wearing a mask. ‼️ Compared to sunscreen, it feels less hygienic. Being a stick format, it can pick up dust from the skin, which is a bit concerning.
TipAfter application, pat it a few times with your palms to achieve a matte finish! Otherwise, it can make your skin look oily and shiny. The first photo shows right after application, and the second shows after patting with palms.
