Cons- Sticky finish - Difficult to control amount, flimsy cap - Causes skin irritation. When using as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, it stings even with slight contact near the mouth or eyes. Feels like alcohol on a wound. Although it's just stinging without causing specific blemishes, I used it for about a month but stopped as my skin texture seemed to be getting rougher. Looking at the ingredients, I've used witch hazel and other components before, so the problem might be the witch hazel 'extract' or the citrus unshiu peel extract. The latter is most suspicious

Just an ordinary toner.
ConsAlthough it doesn't contain added fragrances, the witch hazel scent gives me a bit of a headache. It doesn't cause blemishes, but my skin feels a slight tingling sensation when applying.

Only the Lavender version was available (such a bummer!). So I tried this product since the ingredients are almost identical. I'm happy to report that it's just as hydrating and perfect for the 7-skin method. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes, which is great!
ConsHowever, there's a citrus element... I'm not sure if it's because I'm sensitive to the king mandarin seed extract, or if it's due to the higher concentration of witch hazel compared to Thayers (which can be irritating if overused). Even when I avoided the eye area, my eyes still stung badly. I also developed some kind of allergic reaction on my chin - not acne, but small bumps. I'm pretty sure it's because of this product. I'd apply a mask and soothe my skin with a cica balm in the evening, but as soon as I used this toner in the morning, the irritation would flare up again. It's frustrating! Thayers uses a smaller amount of witch hazel and doesn't include king mandarin seed extract, which might explain why I'm reacting to this one. I really wish Thayers would bring back their Korean-made products soon... I miss using the Unscented version!
TipIf you're not sensitive to citrus or higher concentrations of witch hazel like I am, you might find this product great for tightening pores and giving a fresh feeling. It's wonderfully hydrating when used with the 7-skin method!

I also love the simple, lightweight bottle design. The value for money is excellent. You can buy 510ml online for around $10. Interestingly, it has the same ingredients as that famous red-cap toner, just with aloe vera juice and glycerin in a different order. This product offers more volume at a lower price, so fans of that toner might want to give this a try. I appreciated the water-like texture. I can't use products with any oiliness, whether it's toner or cream - I even had to stop using Laneige Cream Skin after two days due to itching. This one, however, acts purely as a toner, making it exactly what I was looking for.
ConsThe opening is too wide, so you absolutely need to transfer it to another bottle. Otherwise, it spills everywhere, flooding your palm or cotton pad. While I liked the clean ingredient list, it didn't suit me as it's a sebum-controlling toner for oily skin. I was using it fine, but after a week, my face started to feel more and more tingly. That's probably because I have sensitive skin that can't even handle cleansing foam, and I'm so dry that not a drop of oil shows up on blotting paper. It just wasn't the right product for me, so I deducted one star. I think it's just because I have super sensitive, bone-dry skin. The value for money is great, so I wanted to settle on this... it's such a shame. But considering that even I, with my super sensitive skin, used it twice daily (toner + water toner) consistently and only had a reaction after a week, it seems to be on the gentler side. Oh, and there's a slight alcohol scent when applying, but it disappears after application. It didn't bother me, but those sensitive to fragrances should take note.
TipIt was convenient to use after transferring it to a spray bottle! I also mixed in some jojoba oil I had at home. Before that, I mixed it with saline solution, but when I calculated the cost, it turned out to be even cheaper than saline.

The advantages of this product are: 1. It has gentle ingredients, 2. It's non-greasy and feels fresh, 3. You get a generous amount, 4. It fulfills its basic role as a toner effectively. When I first applied it, I thought it provided hydration despite its water-like texture. It seems to be a product that focuses on its primary function as a toner. The moisture doesn't last long and evaporates quickly. Considering that functional cosmetics often have a higher risk of causing blemishes, I think even those with acne-prone skin might want to give this a try.
Cons1. The packaging needs improvement. The toner can easily spill out if you're not careful. It's best to use it with thick cotton pads. 2. It stings a bit. The day after using it, I felt like my pores were more open. While it seems to have a cleansing effect, for someone with sensitive skin like me, it's better to use it two or three times a week rather than as a daily product.
TipAdjusting the frequency of use according to your skin type could help maintain skin health. Although it's not a type that maintains hydration, since we don't expect moisturizing properties from a toner, you can complement it with other products for added hydration.
