There aren't many significant positives to report, which makes writing this review a bit challenging. I'm currently using it as a skin pack to finish it quickly. While it doesn't seem to contain any particularly harmful ingredients, it's not exactly a perfect match for my skin either. When I use it as a skin pack or apply it all over my face, there's a strange, slightly numbing sensation (though mild). I'm not sure if this is due to the witch hazel or something else. I've tried other witch hazel products before, but they didn't have this effect. It's not exactly a cooling sensation - I'm not sure how to describe it. While it's not irritating enough to be a major concern, it's definitely not a pleasant feeling. Additionally, the container is a major issue. The dispenser is completely uncontrollable, often releasing too much product at once. I end up spilling more than half of it on my vanity. The packaging desperately needs a redesign. Overall, it's neither particularly hydrating nor soothing. The inconveniences outweigh any benefits. - ha******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJun 24, 2023
- Large volume + simple ingredients - Clear, watery texture - While not suitable for standalone use, it helps improve deep dryness - Sticky finish - Difficult to control amount, flimsy cap - Causes skin irritation. When using as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, it stings even with slight contact near the mouth or eyes. Feels like alcohol on a wound. Although it's just stinging without causing specific blemishes, I used it for about a month but stopped as my skin texture seemed to be getting rougher. Looking at the ingredients, I've used witch hazel and other components before, so the problem might be the witch hazel 'extract' or the citrus unshiu peel extract. The latter is most suspicious - dp****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 30, 2021
Why I bought it: 1. No harmful ingredients 2. Large volume and great value for money 3. Trust in witch hazel toners 4. Positive reviews 5. Recommended by a friend Product features: 1. Large 510ml size 2. Affordable at 8,930 won 3. Contains witch hazel to balance oil and moisture, good for skin hydration 4. Aloe vera for skin soothing 5. Focuses on toner's core functions, refining skin texture after cleansing 6. Absorbs well, leaving skin cool and refreshed without tightness 7. Ingredients: Purified water, glycerin, witch hazel, aloe vera leaf juice, citrus grandis seed extract, citric acid Usage period: Used twice daily, morning and evening, for about a month How to use: 1. After cleansing, apply to a cotton pad and gently wipe face 2. Fill an empty mist bottle to spray when skin feels dry 3. Soak a sheet mask for a hydrating treatment Benefits of witch hazel: Witch hazel, known as 'Pungnyeonhwa' in Korea, is an extract from North American shrubs. It contains flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, and volatile oils. Native Americans have long used it for skin protection and soothing. It's a powerful natural astringent with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. Excellent for treating various skin issues like acne, bruises, and insect bites. It's also used for medical purposes. Witch hazel is known to be good for skin hydration, soothing, inflammation reduction, pore tightening, anti-aging, and acne relief. Pros: 1. Large 510ml size lasts a long time 2. Affordable price in the 8,000 won range 3. Pleasant, subtle natural scent 4. No harmful ingredients for peace of mind 5. No blemishes occurred, even on sensitive skin 6. Good hydration, works well as an exfoliating toner after cleansing 7. Witch hazel as the main ingredient offers various skin benefits 8. Contains glycerin, which helps with moisturizing and reduces dryness 9. Versatile - can be used as an exfoliating toner, skin, mist, or hydrating mask Repurchase intention: As someone with sensitive skin, I prioritize ingredients. This toner has no harmful components and doesn't cause blemishes. The large volume and affordable price make it easy to use generously without worry. I plan to repurchase in the future. The wide opening causes too much product to come out at once. It can run off your hands and feels wasteful, which is frustrating and inconvenient. I wish they would improve just the cap. Due to the inconvenience of the wide opening, I clean and reuse empty toner bottles to store and use this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 9, 2021
It's moisturizing and didn't cause any blemishes on my skin. Just an ordinary toner. Although it doesn't contain added fragrances, the witch hazel scent gives me a bit of a headache. It doesn't cause blemishes, but my skin feels a slight tingling sensation when applying. - an******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2021
First off, this product is really similar in performance to the Thayers Witch Hazel Toner. Since Thayers is only available through direct overseas purchase these days, I switched to this product with similar ingredients and I'm generally satisfied. Its biggest advantage is its excellent absorption power. Despite having a runny texture, it provides remarkably high hydration when layered a couple of times. The dispenser releases too much product at once. To avoid waste, you'll definitely need to transfer it to a different bottle. Also, although it's labeled as unscented, the fragrance is surprisingly strong. I've been getting little sleep lately, so my senses are a bit heightened. When I smelled it on an empty stomach, it made me feel nauseous and uncomfortable. Other than that, everything else is great. I often do skin pack treatments. In winter, toners can dry out quickly, so when that happens, I wrap a cotton pad with cling film. This way, I can lie down and use my phone while the hydration lasts much longer. Also, when I'm sensitive to massage creams or oil-based products, I apply the toner like a skin pack. Once the dead skin cells have softened a bit, I add more toner and keep rolling my face while it's still damp. This effectively exfoliates while simultaneously plumping up the skin with moisture. - cu********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2021
I bought this on my esthetician's recommendation, and I'm really happy with it. There's a generous amount of product, so I've found an empty bottle to decant it into and apply it by spritzing instead of using cotton pads. It seems to have low alcohol content, which might mean you need to use a bit more product to effectively balance your complexion. - rh****Dry SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2020
This refreshing toner seems to offer dual benefits of pore care and hydration. It contains ingredients that help tighten pores, along with aloe vera and plant-based glycerin. This combination allows for simultaneous pore management and moisturizing, resulting in a deeply hydrating toner. I'm using this product with complete satisfaction and have no complaints. The ingredients are also excellent. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 9, 2020
I used to be a loyal user of Thayers Unscented, but recently it's been hard to find. Only the Lavender version was available (such a bummer!). So I tried this product since the ingredients are almost identical. I'm happy to report that it's just as hydrating and perfect for the 7-skin method. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes, which is great! However, there's a citrus element... I'm not sure if it's because I'm sensitive to the king mandarin seed extract, or if it's due to the higher concentration of witch hazel compared to Thayers (which can be irritating if overused). Even when I avoided the eye area, my eyes still stung badly. I also developed some kind of allergic reaction on my chin - not acne, but small bumps. I'm pretty sure it's because of this product. I'd apply a mask and soothe my skin with a cica balm in the evening, but as soon as I used this toner in the morning, the irritation would flare up again. It's frustrating! Thayers uses a smaller amount of witch hazel and doesn't include king mandarin seed extract, which might explain why I'm reacting to this one. I really wish Thayers would bring back their Korean-made products soon... I miss using the Unscented version! If you're not sensitive to citrus or higher concentrations of witch hazel like I am, you might find this product great for tightening pores and giving a fresh feeling. It's wonderfully hydrating when used with the 7-skin method! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 4, 2020
I absolutely love it. It's definitely more hydrating than other toners, so in summer I can just use this and head out. The opening is too wide, so at first it pours out too quickly. Also, the cap doesn't seal tightly, so when I put it in my bag, it tends to leak, which is disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 1, 2020
First off, I'm thrilled with the large size! My skin is a bit of a chameleon - oily T-zone, while the rest fluctuates between combination dehydrated and just combination. My face tends to break out if I use anything too pore-clogging, but if I go overboard with pore care, it rebels in its own way. Recently, my skin went haywire and I was in the midst of calming it down, but couldn't quite get it under control. Since adding this to my skincare routine, my blemishes have been disappearing. I haven't finished the whole bottle yet, but if it's still working wonders when I do, I'll be back to sing its praises again! No complaints about the product itself so far! I'm using it as an exfoliating toner and following up with a hydrating toner for moisture. If I had to nitpick, I wish they'd improve the packaging. The product gushes out too quickly. If you tilt the bottle towards the cotton pad without pressing, you can get just the right amount without it pouring out. While improving the packaging would be ideal, I've found my own way to manage after a few spills!
