ConsIt stings a bit, even though I don't have super sensitive skin. I think it might be irritating if used too frequently. This isn't an ampoule to use before makeup application. I occasionally use it at night before bed.

It's different from cleansing oils or peeling gels. I'm satisfied with it as an emergency treatment.
ConsFor those with super sensitive skin, it's really challenging to find the right timing to use this. If used incorrectly, your face can feel a tingling sensation for days. Usually, when skin texture is rough, overall skin condition tends to be poor... It's troublesome having to carefully time the application, control the amount, and consider combinations with other products.

While it contains ingredients that help with dead skin cells, I bought it for my pore issues. The formula has a water-like consistency that absorbs well, and it's the gentlest among AHA products, making it suitable even for super sensitive skin without causing irritation. I didn't notice much difference when I first started using it, but by the second bottle, my skin texture had noticeably improved.
ConsI've tried other products from The Ordinary, but I've always found that the dropper's opening gets misaligned, making it difficult to close properly. Also, for some reason, I occasionally feel a tingling sensation when I apply it to my skin.
TipSince this ingredient doesn't mix well with UV rays, apply it at night as part of your evening skincare routine, and use it only once a day. After applying AHA products, it's best to wait a moment before layering on other products.

The Ordinary products are all great value for their ingredients. Fragrance-Free: Like all The Ordinary products, it's practically unscented, which is fantastic. Down with artificial fragrances in skincare! Exfoliation: The exfoliating effect is undeniably impressive. When used at night, you wake up feeling like a layer of dead skin cells has been shed.
ConsTingling Without Redness: My skin usually reddens easily when irritated, but this causes tingling without redness, which makes me want to scratch and go 'Ugh, what's happening?!' There's no actual skin damage from irritation, but it really tests your patience... I think my tolerance is partly due to regular acid use. For those new to direct acids, starting with the 5% version would be better.
TipFor those unfamiliar, start with the 5% version

In summer, my skin produces so much sebum that I can get away with just using toner. But in winter, if I don't start my skincare routine right after washing my face, my skin gets all cracked! I have acne scars, blackheads, and whiteheads, and I prefer products that absorb quickly into the skin! Purpose of use: I tried this for dead skin cell removal. Texture: It has a watery consistency and a slightly sour scent. Review: I didn't notice any dramatic exfoliation, but it did seem to slightly tame the dead skin cells.
ConsDue to its strong ingredients, it stung a bit when my skin was feeling sensitive. I won't be repurchasing. It may cause irritation for those with sensitive skin. I didn't notice any significant effects.

My entire body is dry, and I used it for milia around my eyes and keratosis pilaris on my body. In conclusion, it was really great for keratosis pilaris! You can visually see the keratin/dead skin cells dissolving and hair emerging. It's amazing... However, it wasn't effective for milia. I'm also using a glycolic toner, but this was more effective than the toner.
ConsWhen using it on facial skin or legs, it can sting a bit if you don't control the amount. But considering I have super sensitive skin, it wasn't that irritating. Oh, and it's a shame that it runs out quickly when used on the body...
TipFor those with slightly bumpy skin due to keratosis pilaris, it's really great to try! (I'm not sure if it helps with severe keratosis pilaris that's too deep, red, but not protruding.) I'm not sure if it's psoriasis on my body, but sometimes I get itchy patches that don't moisturize well. When I applied this and then followed with oil, it absorbed better and healed faster!

I don't use any physical exfoliants separately, but with consistent use of this, my skin feels smooth and soft. It's great!
ConsThere weren't any major downsides, though occasionally my skin feels a bit of tingling, but it's not too bad.

It might just be my imagination though.
ConsIt stings quite a bit when applied directly to the face. To avoid the tingling sensation, you need to mix it with your moisturizer.

But after applying this product and putting on a Mediheal mask, the dead skin cells disappeared and my skin became so soft. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it worked well for me. The price is great too. I've stopped using scrubs and now just use this once a week to manage dead skin cells. I feel like I don't need to visit dermatologists or spas anymore. I can even apply it during the day, follow with a moisturizer, and my makeup still goes on smoothly. The feeling right after application is incredibly hydrating.
ConsWhen you apply it, you might feel a slight tingling sensation and your skin may appear to redden. But I consider this as the product's exfoliating ingredients doing their job effectively. If you're sensitive to redness, you might want to avoid this. After applying this, I tried to soothe my skin with Aromatica's aloe gel, but the aloe gel just dissolved like water when it came into contact with this product... I think it's better to just put on a mask instead.
TipAfter using AHA, your skin may redden or tingle briefly, so I recommend gently patting it to absorb and then applying a cool mask to calm the skin. Aloe gel and similar products just turn into water and run off, leaving your skin feeling dry. I've even applied this during the day with just a moisturizer on top, and people commented on how my skin had such a glow.
