Especially for newborns with super sensitive skin, their little bottoms can easily turn red due to diapers. But this balm is a game-changer! Just applying it twice a day after cleaning keeps your precious baby's skin healthy and protected. I've been using it on my little one from birth to now at 8 months, and it works wonders. It's a bit disappointing for those looking for a scented product. However, I found the lack of fragrance to be more convenient. Applying twice a day is sufficient. First off, I have extremely dry skin on my legs that even emulsions can't cover. It gets red and bumpy, to the point where I need prescription ointments. Constantly going to the dermatologist was becoming a burden, so I decided to give this a try. I was hesitant due to the large size, but I took the plunge and bought it. It's more like a melted balm than a cream, and it's incredibly rich. I didn't apply it all over, just on the severely dry areas. The moment you apply it, your skin becomes instantly moisturized and the redness subsides. I was so moved! It absorbs well, especially if you warm it up in your hands first. There's a slight oily residue on your palms after application. The scent is almost non-existent. My itching has decreased, and I'm extremely satisfied! If I had to find a downside, it would be the large size. You have to scoop it out with your hands, exposing it to air each time. It feels like it'll take forever to use up! It would be great if they offered a smaller size too. Also, being such a rich formula, there's a bit of stickiness and heaviness on the skin, which is probably unavoidable. Most skincare products these days seem to moisturize well, but this one provides long-lasting hydration! It feels like it creates a protective layer without being sticky. When touching the baby with damp hands, you can feel the product. The volume is also incredibly generous! The packaging is a bit inconvenient as it's a jar type, but it seems this form of container is necessary for the product's formulation. I applied this cream to my child who has dry skin and severe itching, as recommended. We've gone through two tubes already! Wow, it's truly the thickest cream I've ever used! It doesn't feel moisturizing per se, but more like a highly concentrated nourishing cream. I think it would be perfect for those with extremely dry skin during winter :) The consistency is so thick that it doesn't absorb well, unfortunately. I was struggling with nummular eczema, treating the severe spots with ointment and the milder areas with Aveeno The Mexa Night Cream. As someone with extremely dry skin, I've tried various creams. Its rich texture is perfect for dry skin like mine. I find myself frequently applying it to stretch marks and feet. Since it doesn't come with a spoon, I'm always using and replacing wooden teaspoons. It would be so much better if a spoon was attached to the container. The texture is incredibly rich and creamy, making it perfect for moisturizing baby's skin in winter! While there weren't any major drawbacks, I wouldn't recommend this if you don't prefer thick, creamy formulas!
