Please keep this in mind as you read. 1. Lightweight I was originally using T's deep cleansing oil! From the first use, I could feel how truly lightweight this product's texture is. When rinsing with water, there was much less of that slippery residue feeling :) 2. Beautiful packaging Haha... the design is incredibly pretty! It's simple and, well, simple 3. Skin-friendly ingredients
ConsWell... I had high hopes because of the skin-friendly ingredients. Since cleansing is the most important step for skin, I thought switching from a rich deep cleansing oil to a light and fresh one would be good... but it doesn't suit my skin. My seborrheic dermatitis flared up, and it took quite a bit of effort to reverse it. The sudden dry weather might have contributed, but my face always felt itchy after applying this product. I was foolish to ignore it. The cleansing effectiveness is also disappointing. It's not quite 'Oh no, why won't this come off?', but mascara and such remain around the eyes, leaving them a bit dark after cleansing. It's another struggle to wipe that off..! The product itself is really good, but it just doesn't work for me...

But for the first time ever, I tried an oil cleanser! While it does require a bit more massaging, it seems to remove makeup really well. I was so impressed with how well it removed color cosmetics too! (Though for waterproof eyeliners, a dedicated lip and eye remover might work better to avoid excessive rubbing 😭) Ingredients 😍 As someone with super sensitive skin who scrutinizes every ingredient, I absolutely loved this. Just like I found my holy grail cleansing water thanks to Director Pi, I think I've found my go-to cleansing oil with Secondesign after this Hwahae Testers experience. Hydration 😍 Fellow dry skin folks, you know the struggle, right? Trying to cleanse thoroughly leaves your face feeling parched, but focusing on hydration can leave residue behind. Maybe it's because this was my first time using it, but after the first cleanse, I didn't get that tight, dry feeling. It was great! I'd recommend following up with a gentle, low pH cleanser for your second cleanse to avoid dryness. (I usually use soap or baking soda for my second cleanse, but when I tried using my leftover Senka foam cleanser, it was too drying, so please use a cleanser that works for your skin type.)
ConsItchiness 😭 I'm not sure if it was due to my improper cleansing technique or an issue with the oil itself, but after I used the cleansing oil to remove some eyeshadow swatches at home, my eyelids were itchy for about 3 days afterward. (Since I rarely wear eye makeup, this could be a factor. I'll keep testing it and provide more detailed feedback.)

I received the product on March 12th and used it from March 13th to March 24th. Here's my experience with the changes in my skin. All photos are taken without makeup. 1. The initial feel was incredibly refreshing. Despite being an oil, it didn't have that slippery, hard-to-rinse feeling typical of cleansing oils. I was prepared to follow up with a cleansing foam, but it wasn't necessary at all. Instead, it left my skin feeling fresh and clean. 2. Dead skin cells and sebum care: I was amazed when I first used it on my makeup. As soon as I started massaging, I could see the sebum coming out of my pores. It was a game-changer! This cleansing oil was better at removing sebum than any I've used before. It felt like it was truly deep cleansing. It was particularly effective around the nose area, where makeup tends to build up. I was pleased with how thoroughly it removed sebum there. Even without separate exfoliation, I didn't experience any issues with dead skin cells when applying makeup. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: Like most cleansing oils, it had excellent cleansing power. It even removed Etude's Curl Fix mascara in black completely. I was satisfied with how it left no residue. I usually follow up with cleansing water after washing, but there was barely any foundation residue left (though I can't say there was absolutely none). It was so clean that I thought, 'Wow! No residue?!' 4. Ingredients: Not only was the cleansing power great, but the ingredients were also perfect. True to its name 'Pure and Fresh', it really felt fresh. As someone with acne-prone skin, I sometimes experience a stinging sensation with cleansing products, especially when massaging, but not with this one. It even has a subtle, pleasant scent. The blemishes I got due to my period have significantly reduced. While the gentle ingredients likely played a role, I think the high cleansing effectiveness contributed to this as well. This is definitely a product I'll be repurchasing.
Cons1. Despite having oily skin, I experienced severe deep dryness after cleansing. If I don't apply moisturizer immediately, my face feels like it's shrinking. One day, out of stubbornness, I didn't apply any skincare, and my skin became so dry it was itchy. It's as if my skin type changed from oily to dry... That's how intense it is. 2. As it's so effective at removing sebum, you need to be thorough with the massage. If you're not careful, the sebum can harden mid-removal, forcing you to use tools to extract it later. This could lead to enlarged pores. 3. When adding water for the second massage, it feels a bit sticky. This might tempt you to rush through it, but you absolutely shouldn't. If you do, you'll face the same issue mentioned in point 2.
TipEven if you're not wearing makeup, cleansing with this before applying makeup can significantly reduce sebum and dead skin cells, allowing for a smoother makeup application.

I also experience contact blemishes when my immune system is low. Usage period and skin condition: I used the product for two weeks after my period (including ovulation). The first week my skin was comfortable, and in the second week it started to become sensitive. For reference, I usually only use sunscreen with spot concealer, and for my eyes, I use eyeshadow with Clio Prism Pearl and Kiss Me mascara! Texture: When I first pumped the product, I was surprised at how different it was from previous oil cleansers (DHC, Pond's). I couldn't believe an oil cleanser could be this light and fresh! It truly lives up to its 'Pure and Fresh' name, light enough for daily use. When applied to the skin, it doesn't feel heavy, making it refreshing. During rolling, the texture doesn't feel heavy, giving a clean sensation. The emulsification process felt much cleaner. It didn't leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing, nor did it feel greasy - just perfectly clean. To be specific, my skin didn't feel dry even after walking 30 steps to my room and getting dressed. The texture was my favorite aspect. Cleansing effectiveness: Since I don't wear heavy makeup, it was hard to fully test its cleansing power. Although I don't usually use oil cleansers for eye makeup removal, I tried it for testing purposes. It removed eyeshadow and pearl pigments well. The Kiss Me mascara needed a bit more effort to remove. It was great that the cleanser didn't sting when it got into my eyes, but during emulsification, my vision became blurry. However, this is common with all oil cleansers, so it's not a drawback specific to this product. For eye health, I recommend using a gentle lip and eye remover for the eye area. Ingredients: I've had bad experiences with rose oil or rose-containing products, so I was initially scared to use this product containing rosehip. I tested it first with the provided sample, and it was fine. The gentle ingredients seem to make it a skin-friendly product. Blemishes: Right after my period, when my skin's recovery was good, I didn't have any issues. However, during the first week of the luteal phase, as my skin became sensitive again, I experienced slight blemishes. But I can't definitively say if it was because of this product.
ConsThere weren't many downsides, but after using the product for a few days, my nose area became itchy. Based on my skin data so far, I think my nose reacted to the rosehip oil. It was fine when I avoided using it on my nose area.
TipHemp seed natural oil works well for me, so when my skin was very tired, I mixed in a little. Just remember, thorough cleansing is crucial when using natural oils, so make sure to cleanse well!
