The cream absorbs well with a smooth application. Just pat it in gently and it sinks into the skin without any stickiness. For combination dehydrated skin, it's too light for harsh winter use. When I applied it in the dead of winter, my skin became flaky and it was a disaster... I wouldn't recommend this for those with combination dry skin in winter, but it might be suitable for oily skin types even during colder months. Apart from that, the ingredients are gentle and it absorbs nicely, making it a decent all-around cream. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 13, 2024
This is fantastic for combination dehydrated skin and those with small blemishes. The product doesn't cause any itching, and its cream texture doesn't run. It's perfect - just moisturizes the skin and gives a clean skincare feel. You need to reapply it frequently as the skin feels dry quite quickly. After a while, you might notice some dead skin cells appearing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 4, 2021
I have sensitive, combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone! Quick review: A moisturizing cream that doesn't trigger blemishes. I love that it doesn't clog pores or cause tiny bumps or acne breakouts! It's not sticky or greasy at all, and it has a light, velvety finish. It would be great for warmer seasons rather than transitional periods. Not at all rich or hydrating! It absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling soft, but it doesn't seem to provide deep hydration or create a moisture barrier. It's just average. It doesn't address deep dryness, so after a while, my skin feels dry but my forehead gets oily. The hydration level is too low even for combination skin in winter! The short-lived moisture doesn't prevent makeup from caking, and over time, dead skin cells appear due to dehydration. I can't recommend it... I couldn't find any significant benefits in this cream, either as a hydrating or moisturizing product. When used with the toner from the same line, it doesn't cause acne! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2021
As someone with extremely dry skin, I was thrilled by how deeply hydrating this cream felt. It absorbs well without being thick, gliding on smoothly. The fragrance-free formula is perfect for those who prefer unscented products. Despite my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any allergic reactions. Among the moisturizers I've tried recently, this one suits my skin the best and has become my favorite. The lasting power wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed some dead skin cells had surfaced. I suffer from allergies and frequently use tissues, which often leaves the area around my nose irritated. However, when I applied a thick layer of this moisturizer before bed, I woke up to find the irritation had significantly reduced. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 2, 2020
1. Hmm... 2. The reviews said it works well... 1. When applied as the last step of skincare, it makes my skin dry and causes dead skin cells to appear the next day 2. The scent is too artificial 3. I didn't see any effects (no moisturizing, hydration, or soothing...etc.) Don't buy based on the before-and-after photos in the reviews! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 13, 2020
I haven't been using it for long, but it seems to be really calming my redness. I'll keep using it consistently and update my review later! Hmm, it feels a bit dry? It absorbs immediately, which gives a slightly dry sensation, but at least it doesn't cause any dead skin cells to appear! I'm on a skincare diet. At night, I apply this cream generously and go to sleep. The next day, my skin feels great without any deep dryness! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 6, 2020
The best thing about this product is how it deeply hydrates when applied and doesn't cause any blemishes on my face. It's absolutely amazing! However, it's a bit disappointing that the next day after application, I feel a slight dryness, almost as if there are some dead skin cells. It feels even better when applied with cool hands after washing your face. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 9, 2020
~The Hwahae Testers review~ I have combination dehydrated, sensitive skin! Lately, it's been so hot and because of wearing masks, my skin keeps producing excess oil :( -Positive points- 1. Good oil and moisture balance (though I didn't feel a ton of hydration) 2. Not heavy at all, feels incredibly lightweight 3. A few seconds after applying, it feels like you're wearing nothing? 4. Not sticky at all 1. Didn't really notice much of an effect... 2. After applying, it kind of feels like nothing's there? It's like I applied something, but also not really 3. It pills when I apply sunscreen... When I only use this, you can see all my dead skin cells :( Seems like it doesn't provide much hydration... My face might have gotten drier... It's good to apply another cream on top of this one~ This might just be my experience, so test it out before buying. Still, it's a decent product - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 14, 2020
It's quite sticky at first, but after a while, my skin feels firm and well-moisturized, which I really like. The best part is that it's not too greasy. I tried it hoping it might help a bit with my blemishes, and while they haven't gotten worse, they do look slightly lighter. However, I haven't seen any significant effects yet. Ever since I started using this, I've noticed a lot more dead skin cells when I wash my face... It also makes my skin feel dry. I don't think this would be suitable for people with dry skin. Since it can be drying, I'd recommend applying a generous amount at first, gently patting it in for better absorption, and then reapplying as needed throughout the day! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 13, 2020
As someone in their 40s with extremely dry skin prone to both deep and surface dryness, I'm always battling tightness despite using various moisturizers. Without proper hydration, my skin around the mouth and nose area tends to flake. Using the wrong product or exposure to harsh weather conditions like cold, heat, or fine dust can lead to redness, hives, and blemishes - my skin is truly sensitive and demanding! However, perhaps due to its gentle ingredients, this product didn't cause any redness or sensitive reactions on my face. The fragrance-free formula would be great for those with scent sensitivities. Given my already super sensitive skin, I couldn't really tell if there was any improvement in my skin barrier. Instead, I experienced a significant increase in dead skin cells, which then led to more blemishes. I stopped using it after about ten days. (I'm not sure if this is a sign of the skin barrier strengthening though.) Perhaps due to the hyaluronic acid, it felt like a thin film was covering my skin. This caused pilling when I applied sunscreen over it. It's possible that it just doesn't work well with my other products. (I use Lab No, Dr.G, and Cell Fusion C sunscreens.) This product is a definite no-no for those with very dry skin! It's far too drying. Even with multiple layers and finishing with jojoba oil, my skin still flaked. As someone with extremely dry skin who prefers rich, glowy products, this is the complete opposite of what I need, so I won't be purchasing it again. Even for those with normal-to-dry skin, this product alone won't be enough to combat dryness. You'd need to pair it with a concentrated ampoule or oil, or apply multiple layers. Considering this, the price-to-volume ratio might not be ideal.
