I tried this cream after struggling with severely irritated skin. It's incredibly gentle and provides excellent hydration without feeling greasy or sitting on top of the skin. As long as you use the right amount, it's really effective. I'm on my 5th jar of this product! There's a reason I keep repurchasing it. The texture is a classic yogurt-like consistency. It feels rich but absorbs well, leaving no sticky residue. At night, I slather it on generously. During the day, I've tried applying it before makeup and it doesn't cause pilling, so I use just a small amount in the morning. It's incredibly gentle on the skin. Occasionally, if I don't apply it correctly, it can feel a bit oily and sit on top of the skin. This happens sometimes, and I'm not sure if it's my application technique or just how the product behaves. For evening skincare, especially when my skin is acting up, I skip toner and serum completely. Instead, I apply a moderate layer of La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, then top it with this cream. Repeating this for 1-3 days works wonders for repairing the skin barrier! Lately, this method has been my go-to for skin regeneration. After using this, my closed comedones really decreased a lot. I've only been using moisturizers until now, but seeing the reduction in closed comedones while using this, I think I might have had enough hydration but was lacking in oil balance. The texture is slightly thick, like an emulsion, not a runny formula. I was worried about getting cystic acne since I've only used moisturizers before, but that didn't happen. Instead, almost all of my closed comedones disappeared. After application, it feels like there's an oil film and it seems less absorbed, but that feeling remains until morning. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, I never suddenly developed cystic acne while using this. I wouldn't recommend this for people with severe cystic acne or extremely oily skin. It might be a bit too rich for them. I make sure to fully hydrate my skin and then apply this product, or I apply a very thin layer of this over my moisturizer, almost like I'm sealing everything in. If you keep getting closed comedones but your skin barrier isn't compromised (meaning closed comedones don't decrease even with consistent use of barrier creams), it could be due to an imbalance in oil and moisture like in my case. It's rich in oils, making it great for dry skin. However, it might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin! As I hit my 30s, I felt like my skin's elasticity was crumbling. I tried anti-wrinkle and firming products, but they didn't seem to absorb well. They might have even been too much, as I started getting blemishes I hadn't seen since puberty! My sister recommended this, and I gave it a try. When I apply it in the morning, I feel a plump, bouncy sensation rising from within that lasts until evening. I don't think there's a better cream for tackling deep dryness! The amount dispensed with one pump is about that much. It absorbs quickly when applied, and it feels like it creates a thin protective layer on the skin. However, it doesn't cause pilling when you apply sunscreen or BB cream on top. It doesn't feel particularly hydrating or moisturizing. When I first applied this product, I felt an itchy sensation on my face, which seemed to subside over time. However, the more I use it, the drier my skin becomes around the glabella and sides of the forehead. Small bumps and milia-like blemishes appear in those areas, and they feel extremely dry. I bought it as a 1+1 deal, but I don't think I'll be able to use the second bottle.
