The fragrance is lovely, and it does an excellent job as a moisturizer even for dry skin The long, ruler-like shape makes me feel like it might get contaminated easily, which is a bit disappointing - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2023
Feels soothing when gently pressed into the skin Excellent hydration effects Pleasant nutty scent Absorbs rather slowly The fragrance may be hit or miss Not recommended for oily skin types - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJan 8, 2023
After applying this cream, my skin feels hydrated while the surface becomes matte. I usually avoid creams because I dislike stickiness or oiliness, but this one doesn't feel greasy at all. I love how it leaves my skin completely matte. As with all Aesop products, the price is a common drawback. It's especially disappointing considering it contains some cautionary ingredients yet still comes with a hefty price tag. When first applied, there's significant white cast. It does absorb if you keep patting it in, but that's a bit of a hassle. Also, if you apply makeup over this, it tends to pill. Patting it in is somewhat easier than rubbing. If you try to rub it in, your arm might fall off from exhaustion. - gk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 20, 2022
The scent is lovely - like warm sunshine with a hint of green tea. It has a nice texture and the cream formula focuses on replenishing oils. As it's concentrated solely on oils, this nourishing cream didn't quite suit my combination, sensitive skin. Wearing it under a mask these days feels a bit heavy and greasy. It didn't help much with deep dryness, and it didn't absorb as well as I'd hoped. Apart from how it worked with my skin type, the product itself is pretty good. Attention those with combination and sensitive skin! If you have combination skin, you might experience oiliness in certain areas while other parts remain dry. This cream focuses on oils, so it doesn't address deep dryness effectively. After cleansing in the morning and applying this cream, it doesn't hydrate the deeper layers of skin. As a result, your skin naturally tries to compensate by producing more oil, which combines with the oils from the Camellia Nut cream. By afternoon, this can leave your skin feeling uncomfortably greasy. If you're looking for an Aesop product to balance oil and moisture, I'd recommend the 'B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel'. It has a honey-like texture, absorbs wonderfully, and truly achieves that perfect oil-moisture balance, giving a sensation of hydration from deep within the skin. The 'Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream' is good in its own right, so it could be great for those with dry skin who need to maximize oil replenishment. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2022
Even though I have dry skin, products with too much oil usually cause breakouts, making it hard to find a suitable one. This product, however, works well for me. It's nicely moisturizing and doesn't cause any blemishes, which I love. It feels a bit light for winter use, but it's fine for other seasons. For extremely dry skin, it might not provide enough hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 29, 2022
Great hydration and while the scent might be divisive, I love it! The packaging is also appealing. I can't say for certain if this product is responsible, but I did experience some blemishes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 27, 2021
Incredible hydration... Is this the holy grail of moisturizers? Unfortunately, I developed dermatitis after using this. It's an extremely heavy cream. I'm conflicted about the scent - the intense herbal fragrance isn't to my personal liking. Plus, it's really expensive without offering any special benefits beyond hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 16, 2021
Even with a small amount applied, the moisturizing effect was impressive. However, as I have combination dehydrated skin, it felt a bit heavy for my use. Being a balm-type cream, you need to apply just a small amount, otherwise it leaves a white cast on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2021
The fragrance is lovely. It's perfect for light application. The oil and moisture balance feels just right. The price is quite steep. It works best when applied generously, but the amount is too small for that. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 16, 2021
The rich formula seems perfect for those with normal to dry skin, especially during winter As the weather gets warmer, I notice some small bumps appearing and whiteheads forming quickly. I'm not sure if it's worth the price! If you're curious about Aesop products and have dry skin, give this a try during the winter months
