I recently tried the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and noticed my skin feeling a bit dry, so I decided to purchase the Cica Sleeping Mask which is said to have stronger moisturizing properties. The moisturizing power is really strong, and there is no tightening or dryness feeling at all, even in the morning. The texture is like a blend of ointment and cream. As soon as I apply it, my skin feels completely coated, and even a small amount is enough to prevent dryness. About an hour after applying the cream, I noticed something a bit strange - I'm not sure if it's just me, but it feels kind of odd. It seems like both a downside and an upside, so I've detailed the downside first.

It's like it's giving me a problem and then solving it at the same time. In this dry weather, my skin feels so comfortable, but then it also feels irritated and like it might break out. I wish it would just do one or the other! I'm usually quite prone to dryness, so it's a shame to let go of this, but if it keeps causing pimples, I might have to relegate it to being a hand and body cream.

I'm currently using the sample of another Laneige product that I received after purchasing a different item. Among the Laneige sleeping pack line, this is the richest type, and for my oily skin, it feels a bit too nourishing at times. So I've been using it only during the dry winter season these days. The cream type has an amazing spreadability, almost silicone-like. It's rich but melts smoothly and absorbs well. There's hardly any sticky or greasy feeling, and it leaves a supple, soft finish. I don't usually enjoy using cream products, but in the winter, I feel that layering ampoules and essences alone is not enough, so I use this. Even with a thin application, the dryness disappears and my skin feels moisturized. Dry-skinned folks would likely be very satisfied with the hydration from using this generously. Contrary to other reviews, I'm honestly not sure if it helps calm down milia or blemishes. ^^; When my skin is extremely dry and rough, applying this before bed leaves my complexion more supple in the morning.

Whenever I use this product, I get acne. Even when I apply it and go to sleep, small bumps like milia keep appearing... Now I see that it has pore-clogging ingredients, so that's probably why.

I tried the sample and when I woke up the next day, my skin texture had changed and my blemishes had significantly calmed down. I'm currently on my 6th bottle. From the 2nd bottle, I felt the effects weren't as strong, so I tried other products. But I couldn't find anything as satisfactory as the Laneige Cica, so I came back to Laneige and the effects returned as before. I don't have acne-prone skin, just the occasional pimple or two, but lately my skin has been acting up and it's been stressful. As soon as I apply it, the redness goes away a lot, and if it flares up again the next night, applying it one more time makes the blemishes gradually subside.
Cons
The downside is that I experienced a brief period of tolerance... And the formula may feel a bit heavy for some people. It even caused occasional breakouts for me due to the formula.
Tip
When you first use a whole bottle, the effects are really noticeable. I would be pleasantly surprised every morning. When I'm short on time and tired, I just sloppily apply the Laneige Cica and go to sleep, and it's so comfortable and nice. Recently, I've been mixing in a few drops of tea tree oil when using it.
