As you can see in the photo, unlike other creams on the market these days, this one has a thicker consistency. However, it doesn't feel bothersome when applying and absorbs well.
Cons1. It's sticky, slippery, and has a rich texture, so you can't apply too much. 2. I often mix it with other creams when applying.

That's about it.
ConsThere were quite a few disappointments... It's labeled as a sleeping mask, so I expected some richness, but it felt uncomfortably slippery. The application is like a nourishing cream... Maybe it's worse in summer, but I bought it for its cica content to soothe my hormonal blemishes. However, it felt so heavy that it actually caused more pimples! If only the texture was lighter, it would have been better. I can't really recommend this.

Maybe because it's cica, but I definitely feel like there's a barrier on my skin when I wake up? It feels like my skin has become more resilient. My blemishes have also calmed down a bit. When I apply it every night before bed, my skin feels a bit dry the next day if I skip it.
ConsWhile it absorbs smoothly like a cream when applying, after spreading it on my face, it feels a bit shiny and oily. It's not sticky, but it's kind of... slippery? It's not severe, but those with very oily skin might be a bit hesitant to use it.

This product truly shines in winter! When it's dry, you don't need to slather it on - just one thin layer is enough to soothe the skin and form a protective barrier. While it still feels a bit heavy in winter, it's much better than in summer. On lazy days (which happen quite often), I'd just cleanse and apply this, or sometimes only use toner followed by this product. Before makeup, if my skin felt particularly dry, I'd use this instead of cream as a final step. It was my most-used skincare product this winter, and I definitely plan to repurchase. ----- The biggest advantage of this product, in my opinion, is its immediately visible effects. I noticed the difference after just one use. (For reference, my skin is combination in summer. The U-zone is closer to dry, while the T-zone is oily.) At first, I was skeptical about using a sleeping mask in summer. However, I was curious about this product, so I tried it right away. To my surprise, I saw noticeable results. My skin texture was oddly bumpy, but not quite like milia. I had some time before an appointment, so I applied it lightly for about 2-3 hours before putting on makeup... and wow! My skin looked smooth for the first time in ages. Even when I exfoliated or used sheet masks, I could never get rid of those tiny dead skin cells, but this product seemed to calm them down and improve my overall skin texture. I've since used it several times during the day for a few hours to carefully observe the effects, and I can definitely feel the difference.
ConsThe texture is typical of what you'd expect from a sleeping mask - slick and film-forming. I suppose that's necessary for long-lasting effects. However, this can make your face feel a bit stuffy in summer. That was my experience. Even when applied in tiny amounts, it feels much heavier than a light summer moisturizer. Personally, I found it even more suffocating than greasy, ointment-like creams. I read suggestions to keep this product in the refrigerator for a cooling effect in summer, so I tried that with a small amount, thinking I wouldn't use it all during the warm months. My opinion? It's not really worth the effort. As you might know, the cooling effect from refrigeration is very temporary. Moreover, due to the sleeping mask's texture, the cooling sensation seems to dissipate as you spread it. Since it has good soothing properties at room temperature, I don't think it's necessary to keep it in the fridge. For a true cooling effect, products like aloe gel that naturally lower skin temperature might be more effective.
TipIn summer, I was honestly worried about potential blemishes from the rich overnight nourishment. Here are a few ways I effectively used this sleeping mask while awake: (It was fine to apply a thin layer at night too, but I found it a bit heavy for summer, so I focused on daytime use.) - As mentioned earlier, if you have an awkward amount of time before going out (1-3 hours), apply the mask after cleansing, then either rinse lightly or use an exfoliating toner. - Apply after washing your face before showering. The steamy shower environment instantly hydrates your face, and having the mask on during this time allows you to experience the nourishing, hydrating, and soothing effects all at once in a relatively short time. After showering, either rinse it off gently or wipe with a watery toner before applying makeup for perfect absorption. - For a cooling and soothing effect: In summer, it's important to calm not just skin issues but also heat-flushed skin. For this, apply a thin layer of the product all over your face, then do a skin pack or use cool water-soaked cotton pads. I just used cold water to save on toner. When skin is overheated, it loses a lot of moisture and can become dry. This method provides nourishment, replenishes moisture, and cools down the skin - three benefits in one. - When the weather turns cold, try using it as a final thin layer instead of cream! It forms a good barrier, so it lasts longer than most creams. It should work great when the cold wind causes dead skin cells to appear. Just make sure to test how it works with your foundation beforehand.

After using it for about six months, I've noticed a significant reduction in blemishes. It's a product that truly makes your face feel at ease. I think it's even better than the Watery Pack from the same line. When I wash my face in the morning, there's a natural glow to my complexion.
ConsAfter application, it feels a bit slippery. It's even more slick when washing it off.
TipIt's best to use a cleansing foam rather than just water or oil-based cleansing products.

Being a sleeping pack, I expected a Water Bank-like hydrating cream texture, but it felt more like a sorbet. It's opaque and thick, yet not heavy, and absorbs well. 2. Since the product isn't lightweight, a small amount goes a long way on your face. I used a 3ml sample for over a week. 3. While it felt a bit heavy after application, I woke up with soft skin and no blemishes.
Cons1. In my opinion, a sleeping pack should be light enough to apply generously before bed, but the Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask feels heavy. The instructions suggest layering it 2-3 times on particularly dry and sensitive days, but as someone with oily skin (or maybe because it's not winter), that seems like too much. 2. It's rich and slow to absorb, leaving a slippery feeling. Hair sticks to it, and it transfers to the pillow. 3. The price is a bit...
TipFrom the moment you apply it, there's a noticeable rich coating sensation. As someone with oily skin, I found it a bit heavy outside of winter use.

While I'm used to lightweight gel textures for sleeping masks, this one has a creamier consistency that feels like a true moisturizing product. I appreciated that it doesn't contain any concerning ingredients, and the subtle natural scent made application feel like a relaxing ritual. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I don't prefer sticky or heavy formulas, but this seems perfect for seasonal transitions. It's neither too light nor too heavy - just right! I found it less overwhelming than typical cica creams, which made for a pleasant user experience. After sleeping with the Cica Sleeping Mask on, I woke up to soft, well-rested skin. It provided noticeable hydration and soothing effects without any tightness, leaving me satisfied with my morning skin condition. While the Water Sleeping Mask feels like it deeply hydrates, the Cica version seems to form a protective moisture barrier. The comforting sensation makes it suitable for daily use without any concerns.
ConsIt was disappointing that the product felt like it was sitting on top of my skin at first, taking a while to absorb. While I'm satisfied once it sinks in, that initial slippery feeling before absorption somewhat diminishes my overall satisfaction with the product.
TipTo combat the surface-sitting feeling, I applied multiple thin layers instead of one thick layer!

The second photo was taken on the third night after extraction under a desk lamp. I saw great results in skin recovery! In my early 20s, my skin would calm down in 2-3 days after extraction without scarring, but now (late 20s) it takes a week or sometimes longer to recover. The slow recovery was leading to more and more scars... With my oil and moisture balance completely off, I kept getting closed comedones... my skin was really struggling. Recently (about 2 weeks ago), a lot of closed comedones appeared on my forehead, and my skin was at its most sensitive. After extraction, I was lamenting my honeycomb-like skin when I won the Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask from The Hwahae Testers, and the product arrived soon after. I started using it a day or two after extraction. On the first day, I only used it at night. ✍🏻My first impression when applying was that it felt a bit heavy. I was slightly worried it might clog my pores. However, after consistent use, I found that it didn't cause any new closed comedones!!! 👀 ✍🏻It felt slippery when applying, which made me worry it might be too oily. But again, testing showed it didn't cause any blemishes 👀 Even more surprisingly, it seemed to balance the oil and moisture in my combination dehydrated skin, significantly reducing my skin's oil production and making it look much fresher 👀 So I applied it as a cream both day and night! I mix mineral sunscreen with foundation, and even when I used the sleeping mask as a cream during the day, it didn't interfere with my makeup at all! In fact, my skin felt more comfortable due to reduced dryness! ✍🏻Results after 2 weeks of use Actually, I felt the effects sufficiently in less than a week. Around the third day of use, the extracted areas had already calmed down and recovered. My skin texture also became smoother (less textured), and with the balanced oil and moisture, my pores even seemed to shrink a bit. My skin usually turns red easily with even slight irritation, and always becomes sensitive after cleansing, exfoliating, or using toner with a cotton pad, but with this product, the redness subsided quickly and by the next morning, there was noticeable recovery. In conclusion, I'm 100% going to repurchase! Once I finish this jar, I'll buy it with my own money and use it as both a cream and a mask! I'm so happy to have found a product that works so well for me!
ConsI didn't really have any disappointments with this product. As mentioned above, it might feel slippery and heavy when first applied to the skin, but once absorbed, any greasy feeling on the skin surface completely disappears. With the balanced oil and moisture, it actually reduced the oil my skin produced, and there was no clogging of pores or new closed comedones.
TipYou don't necessarily have to use it as a mask. I found it worked well as a cream too 👌🏻 Since I use mineral sunscreen, my skin was always uncomfortable due to dryness, but using this product as a cream worked great. Even after using mineral sunscreen, my skin would get oily and my pores would become noticeable, so I always had to use powder, which made the dryness worse.. With this product, I didn't need to use powder, or just a light dusting was enough to keep my skin looking clean.
