It absorbs well without any sticky feeling, doesn't cause any blemishes, and seems to be well absorbed by the skin. While prices for skincare products these days vary widely, this one feels a bit expensive compared to what it offers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 10, 2019
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm excited to share my review. When I first opened the package, the product's case impressed me with its clean, sleek design - a step above typical essence packaging. The main focus is on anti-aging ingredients. The texture is light, almost runny, and it flows easily when pumped onto the back of the hand. Applying it to my skin, I noticed it wasn't sticky and seemed to absorb quite quickly. It's gentle on the skin with no irritation, and I didn't experience any blemishes. While it might be more suited for women, it's a good option for anyone looking for a mild, easily absorbed product. As someone with oily skin, I did notice a slight increase in shine. Overall, it's a great choice for those wanting a gentle, lightweight essence. I wish the essence had a slightly thicker consistency, given its product type. Personally, I'd prefer if the fragrance was a bit less noticeable. It would be even better if it absorbed completely without leaving any shine. I found it works well when applied lightly after your basic skincare routine, followed by targeted treatment products. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 10, 2019
The lightweight gel-type essence has excellent absorption. After it sinks in, there's no stickiness, leaving the skin feeling light and soft. I loved the fresh herbal scent too. The packaging also looks quite luxurious. While it feels hydrating when first applied, the moisture doesn't seem to last long, which might disappoint those with dry skin. It would be good for light application in summer. The glass container is a bit heavy, which is slightly inconvenient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 9, 2019
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and used this product for about two weeks. First off, I have super sensitive skin, but I'm pleased to report that with consistent use, I didn't experience any blemishes. The texture is quite fluid - it actually runs when you dispense it on the back of your hand. Perhaps because of this, it absorbs well and spreads easily. The scent is reminiscent of Innisfree's green tea line - subtle and pleasant. While I'm not sure about its anti-wrinkle effects yet, I feel like my skin texture has improved. While it absorbs quickly, it doesn't leave much of a residual feeling on the skin. Also, the glass container makes it quite heavy to handle during use. As I have combination dehydrated skin, I find it works best when I apply a couple of layers and finish with a cream. This leaves my skin feeling much more hydrated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 8, 2019
The glass bottle makes it convenient and hygienic to use. The formula is a lightweight essence that doesn't leave any sticky residue, giving your skin a velvety finish. It absorbs well and creates a nice base for the next steps in your skincare routine. Besides being on the pricier side, the artificial fragrance isn't to my personal liking. It doesn't really boost hydration, so you'll need to use a separate moisturizing product. Looking at the ingredients list on the Hwahae app, I noticed two PEGs high up in the list, indicating a high concentration. It also contains BHT, an ingredient not commonly seen in recent cosmetics, which makes me hesitant to use it regularly. This product is suitable for those with non-sensitive skin who aren't particular about ingredients, and for those looking for a quick-absorbing essence without any stickiness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 8, 2019
- First off, I'm thrilled to be chosen as a Hwahae Tester! This is my first time winning! I'll do my best to write a thorough review. I'm born in 2004, and my mom and I used this product together for two weeks. (I have dry skin, while my mom has oily skin.) - This product doesn't feel heavy at all! The lightweight texture absorbs well! It's not bad at sinking into the skin either. It has a consistency similar to hand sanitizer - just glides on. Apply it and pat gently, and it absorbs quickly! - I tried layering it in my skincare routine: toner -> emulsion -> this product -> brightening moisturizer. This product leaves a slightly sticky feeling, but when I applied the brightening moisturizer on top, my makeup went on smoothly. - My nose is sensitive, so I avoid products with strong scents. This one has a mild fragrance, so I think I'll be able to use it comfortably. - I have very dry skin, and this product kept my skin hydrated for about 30 minutes, but after that, the moisturizing effect gradually faded. My skin started to feel dry again. That's a bit disappointing. However, my mom with oily skin says it works great for her! - Since I'm young and don't have wrinkles, I can't really tell about its anti-aging effects. But my mom has been using it consistently and says she thinks it's helping with wrinkle improvement! She's considering repurchasing it. => This essence seems better suited for oily skin types like my mom's rather than dry skin like mine. - One downside is that the product container is quite heavy, making it difficult to take on trips. You'd probably need to transfer it to a travel-sized container. - It leaves a sticky feeling after application, so I recommend using it before makeup rather than after cleansing at night. If you apply it before bed, it tends to stick to your pillow and bedding, which can be uncomfortable. Is this normal for essences? It's my first time using one. - It's a bit pricey for the amount you get. While it's reasonably priced compared to other high-end essences, when you consider the quantity, it's on the expensive side. Recommended for oily skin rather than dry skin! Better to use before makeup than after cleansing! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 4, 2019
*****Review from mid-20s with dry skin******* Absorption: First off, the texture is incredibly lightweight! It feels more like a water-gel than an essence. I was expecting a thick essence, but it's surprisingly refreshing and fluid, so it doesn't just sit on top of the skin! Absorption power: I was shocked when I first tested it on the back of my hand. To draw a comparison, it absorbs instantly like hand sanitizer, leaving no stickiness or rich feeling, but instead a quick sense of softness. I think it's because it absorbs so well~ Hydration: It doesn't seem to provide exceptional hydration. The surface and deeper layers of skin are different, so just looking at visible hydration, it does dry out again quickly due to its lightness.. ㅠㅠ Nourishment: Many people apply essences to replenish nutrients, but as I mentioned about hydration above, it dries out quickly. My skin is extremely, extremely dry, so if I don't apply my skincare well, my makeup doesn't sit right 😭 I haven't found my holy grail product yet.. and this one won't be settling into my routine either. Price: It's quite small but costs around 46,000 won? That's really expensive ㅠㅠ This is another reason why I'd hesitate to buy this product at this price. With its light application and good absorption, I think it would be suitable for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin, rather than extremely dry skin like mine. Since it's not rich or sticky, it seems perfect for a quick, simple layer in your skincare routine!
