I had been using the cleansing oil exclusively for a long time, then switched to the milk cleanser for a while. But then I went back to the cleansing oil because of whiteheads. Compared to regular cleansing oils, this one feels a bit lighter in texture and weight. It's less sticky and heavy-feeling. But it doesn't compromise on cleansing power. Mascara and other makeup like foundation, eyeliner, and lipstick all came off well, just like with other products. Especially after using it, my skin felt so smooth and supple when I applied toner and emulsion. I have sensitive, reactive skin, so I'm very careful about what products I use. I always check the Hwahae app to see how much 'red' ingredients are in a product. But with this Laneige one, I didn't experience any irritation, dryness, or excess oiliness on the surface of my skin. I usually just use a cleansing foam to remove sunscreen, but sometimes I use the Laneige cleansing oil too to get rid of whiteheads. After the initial oil cleanse and then a second cleanse with the foam, my skin feels so clean and refreshed.
ConsI remember the ingredients had some red flags, and the fragrance was stronger than other products, as some other reviewers mentioned. I'm sensitive to fragrance, but it wasn't overpowering or artificial-smelling. But those who dislike any noticeable fragrance in their products may find it unpleasant.
TipUse 4-5 pumps and massage it all over your face to effectively remove any remaining makeup or whiteheads. I always use a generous amount, massaging it in thoroughly before rinsing, and then follow up with a second cleanse. This leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean the next day, with no leftover makeup residue.

I was recently selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and used the Laneige Cica Calming Cleansing Oil for a week, and I would like to share my experience:) #99.8% plant-derived ingredients #Cleansing oil #Light #Blackhead #Non-comedogenic #Dermatologically tested 🐣1. Dermatologically tested 1) Safety confirmed: The dermatological test confirmed the product's safety and lack of side effects, which gave me confidence. 2) Efficacy verified: The clinical trial validated the product's theoretical effectiveness in real-world use. 🌻2. Improvement in blackheads/whiteheads: The product effectively removed blackheads and whiteheads, as confirmed by the dermatological test results. 🌸3. UV protection and fine dust removal: It excelled at removing sunscreen and fine dust, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed. 🛜4. Gentle ingredients: (Comedogenic rating: a scale evaluating the likelihood of a cosmetic ingredient clogging pores) Using non-comedogenic (rating 1) British grape seed oil, the light oil formula deeply cleansed without feeling heavy, and the gentle cleansing agents left my skin hydrated without residue. It was able to deeply cleanse my sensitive skin without irritation. ☺️5. Safe ingredients: As a product with the German Derma Test Excellent rating and EWG Verified status, it contains 92.7% plant-based oils (grape seed oil for hydration, macadamia seed oil for balanced moisture, lavender oil for soothing, and lemon peel oil for blackhead/whitehead removal), giving me peace of mind in using it.
ConsFragrance: Personally, I prefer fragrance-free, but this product has a slight artificial fragrance, so it may be divisive. Those sensitive to fragrance may want to take note. Price: At 32,000 won for 200ml, the price is a bit higher compared to other cleansing oils. However, considering the effectiveness, I believe it is worth the price.
TipRapid emulsification: When using all oil-based products for an extended period, the products can accumulate in the skin. The tip is to apply the oil to your face, then add a small amount of water to quickly emulsify it before using. I recommend the Laneige Comedo-Clearing Cleansing Oil for those with sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Since I'm not very sensitive to cosmetics, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two products. ✅ Cleansing effect Based on the product I use, eyeshadow and eyeliner are thoroughly removed, so I think the cleansing effect is also good. ✅ Design Personally, aside from the functionality, what I like is the design. The product design looks premium, which I like.
Cons✅ Fragrance Overall, it was a satisfactory product, but if I had to point out a downside, it would be the fragrance. It's a lemon scent, but it's very artificial, like a lemon detergent. It's like the Cygnus(?) I used to use to clean the school floor when I was in middle school. But since I'll just rinse it off with water anyway, I do have the intention to repurchase. This is probably the best product I've received as a trial user on Hwahae.

With its high content of plant-based oils, it provides gentle cleansing and feels comfortable for daily use, which is perfect for my dry skin that tends to feel dehydrated easily. 2. Clean Ingredients I really liked that it doesn't contain a lot of unnecessary ingredients. When it comes to cleansing oils, I believe the simpler the better, as long as it does its job well, and this product aligned perfectly with my preference. 3. Quick Emulsification, Refreshing Finish Compared to the Directorpie Sunflower Cleansing Oil, the Rangbell product feels lighter and less heavy. When I shake the bottle, it has a nice fluid, lightweight texture. After cleansing with the oil and a mild foaming cleanser, there's no residue left, and my skin feels pleasantly refreshed, making it suitable for year-round daily use.
Cons🍋 The product has a lemon scent, but it's very artificial. I extremely dislike it. Why did they even include it? Why does a cleansing oil need a fragrance? And of all things, a divisive fruit scent? I had so many questions, and this was the most disappointing part.
TipFor dry skin, this can be used year-round, while for oily skin, it's best suited for heavy makeup removal and winter use.

ConsThe fragrance doesn't suit me It has a slight lemon air freshener scent, but I prefer fragrance-free products~~~ And the texture is a bit heavy. But I'll keep using it since the ingredients are good
TipRoll for 1 minute Make sure to roll with water to remove sebum

I have sensitive skin and have been going to a dermatologist, so my acne has mostly cleared up, but I used to have problematic skin with acne. I also have dry skin, and in the winter, my T-zone gets particularly dry. To start with the positives: First, it's a cleansing oil that doesn't feel heavy at all and is refreshing! Cleansing oils can sometimes feel thick and leave a sticky residue after cleansing, but this product felt nice and clean. There was no oily residue left behind, and it cleansed thoroughly. Second, the cleansing power I often use the cleansing oil to remove my eye and lip makeup instead of using a separate eye and lip makeup remover. The Laneige product effectively removed my Merzy eyeliner and Clio mascara. Although I don't usually go for heavily pigmented lipsticks, I think it would effectively remove most lipsticks as well.
ConsFirst, the fragrance There's a strong citrus scent, almost like lemon, that I found a bit unpleasant. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I wasn't a big fan of it. It's an odd combination of the oil and lemon scent. Secondly, it's drying Since it has a refreshing formula, the moisturizing aspect is a bit lacking. While not expecting a cleansing product to be super moisturizing, it is a bit drying. However, this could be a positive for those with oily skin.
TipThe pump works well, and overall, it's a pretty good product. The price is a bit high, but I think I'll continue using it.

The exfoliation works quite well.
ConsThere's a bit of a rubbery smell. It seems to only remove the surface-level dead skin.
