I've gone through so many bottles of this, I've lost count - it's that good! Every time there's a sale, I stock up on at least three bottles without fail. It's in a league of its own compared to cleansing oils from other brands. I have combination skin that's oily yet dehydrated, with some redness too! There's a lot of debate about whether cleansing oils are good for oily skin, but personally, I think they're great! When I use an oil cleanser, I feel like it really helps dissolve and remove sebum effectively. Since trying this one, other cleansing oils just feel too heavy or too light in comparison. The texture of this one is just right, and it emulsifies amazingly well... As I massage it in, I can feel it breaking down sebum. I've already repurchased this about three times! This is my go-to cleansing oil now. It's truly a holy grail product for me. I bought this because I heard it has great ingredients, is gentle, and cleanses effectively. The texture is oily with a medium-weight feel. It seemed a bit harsh for my super sensitive skin. Double cleansing every time can damage your skin barrier. - kw*****RecommendedMay 21, 2025

I usually prefer cleansing milk, but I occasionally use cleansing oils too. After trying various products, I found that Laneige cleansing oil feels the freshest and has the best texture. It seems to have the best ingredients, and while it's lightweight, it still has great cleansing effectiveness without being harsh on the skin. There's not really anything to complain about, though the scent was a bit strong for me. But I've noticed all cleansing oils have some fragrance, so I wouldn't consider this a major drawback.

The most important thing, cleansing effectiveness, is lacking. I use oil for the first cleanse, but it doesn't even remove light makeup like sunscreen and a thin layer of cushion foundation (Kyeon Mi-ri Pact). It always pools around my chin area. I don't know how much I need to use for it to actually cleanse. I bought it because of good reviews, but Banila Co is much better. I was skeptical about how well this lightweight oil cleanser would remove makeup, but its cleansing effectiveness surprised me. You don't need to emulsify it too much, and it leaves your skin feeling hydrated after use. As a huge fan of citrus scents, this oil brightens my mood every time I use it. A must-have for oily skin types! I've been using Laneige Cleansing Oil as my first cleanse for a while now. It's an essential step in my double cleansing routine. While I haven't tried the new reformulated version, and it seems the old version is no longer available separately, I'd recommend comparing it with other great options on the market before making a purchase. There are so many excellent cleansing oils out there! Not the best value for money. Given its higher price point, this cleansing oil doesn't offer the most bang for your buck...
