Fragrance The lavender scent was refreshing after cleansing and applying the product. I usually use an unscented lotion, so I was happy to have a product with a nice fragrance. However, those sensitive to scents may not like it. 2. Texture I thought it would be a very watery toner, but the texture is slightly thicker, like a runny serum. So it can be used both as a toner and an essence. 3. Usage I thought the alcohol content would make it drying and watery, but the glycerin makes it feel plump and comfortable on the skin.
Cons1. Ingredients The alcohol content sometimes made my skin feel a bit irritated. As a sensitive skin type, the ingredients were a bit of a concern for me. However, I didn't experience any breakouts. 2. Absorption The glycerin content makes the absorption a bit slower. It wasn't a major issue for me, but those who prefer faster absorption may find it inconvenient. 3. Price Compared to lotions, creams, and ampoules, I use a lot of this toner/essence as I always apply it with a cotton pad. The price feels a bit high considering the usage amount.
TipAs someone with dry skin, I would use the cotton pad-soaked toner to gently wipe and refine my skin texture after cleansing. Depending on my skin's condition that day, I would also pat it in with my palms 1-3 times, and then follow up with a moisturizing lotion.

As you can see from the Hwahae app, the ingredients are excellent. It contains naturally fermented black rice and bamboo shoot extracts:) It is stated that 95% of the toner's ingredients are of natural origin, and I did not experience any breakouts during the week of use. 💗Abundant moisture! It's less noticeable in the summer, but in spring, fall, and winter, this is a skin type that particularly needs attention for dryness ㅠㅡㅠ If you gently pat it in, the absorption is just right, and there is little stickiness after absorption! The moisture is so abundant that you can apply it directly with your hands, and it's also great to use as a pack on areas like the chin and cheeks that tend to be particularly dry, using a cotton pad ㅠㅠ For toner packs, it's best to leave it on for no more than 5 minutes:) 💗Watery texture! It doesn't drip down, which is great. It's also easy to scoop out and apply with your hands. 💗Large volume! I was surprised when I first received it. 300ml is a large volume, isn't it..? 💗Skin texture improvement! Probably because it replenishes the moisture, my skin, which had become bumpy due to masks, is gradually becoming smoother ㎎㎎ I recommend this to those who feel their oil-moisture balance has been disrupted :)
Cons🤦🏻♀️The price range is there Good ingredients, good volume, but the price... 🤦🏻♀️There is a unique scent I'm not sensitive to scents, so it was fine for me, but there is a slightly peculiar scent that is hard to describe. If you are sensitive to scents, I recommend testing it out before using. 🤦🏻♀️It stings a lot when it gets in the eyes, so be careful. 🤦🏻♀️Not recommended for those with oily skin I felt it was a bit burdensome to use in the summer. But I think it's fine for daily use.
TipUse a thin, absorbent cotton pad to gently pat the toner in! This method is amazing ㅠ

My mom and I wrote the review together, so it's a bit late. My mom has an extremely dry skin type, and I'm closer to a combination skin type. We both have sensitive skin. We liked the premium feel of the product packaging design. The texture is watery and has a slightly sticky finish. It seems like it would be good for those with dry skin. Since black rice is said to have good antioxidant effects, my mom and I used it together. I'm not sure, but she said her skin felt more plump. We were glad it's made with natural ingredients, and it would also make a nice gift!
ConsPersonally, I didn't like the fragrance much, and I found the absorption to be slow with a sticky finish. It might have been more noticeable since it's summer... The fragrance seemed a bit irritating, and it stung my skin a little. And for a student like me, it was a bit pricey...

My skin type is combination with extremely oily T-zone and very sensitive, so I tend to have frequent breakouts. ✔ Texture It's not a lightweight toner! It's not as watery as a typical toner, but has a slight viscosity to it. However, it's not as sticky as an essence either. ✔ Fragrance The fragrance... I'm not sure what it is, but it would have been better if there was no fragrance at all. I've been using it for 2 weeks, but I still can't get used to the scent.🥴 ✔ Hydration I think it works well on its own, especially in the summer season right now. In the mornings, I just use the toner and my face doesn't feel tight at all. It's a good standalone product for summer when I don't want to layer too many products.
Cons🤔 First of all, the fragrance is quite disappointing.. Personally, I really dislike this type of scent, and I can't help but notice it every time I apply the product.ㅠㅠ If only it didn't have this smell, everything else would be fine. 🤔 There's a slight stinging sensation when I apply it on my acne-prone areas! It hasn't caused any breakouts yet, but I'll have to be cautious. 🤔 It doesn't absorb very quickly. The absorption is a bit slower, but once it does, my skin feels completely hydrated, so I can still tolerate it. 🤔 While the hydration is good, the oil control isn't as effective. As a dehydrated skin type, I was able to lock in the moisture, but couldn't control the oil production.
TipI just apply it all over my face. Applying it 2 times gives me the right amount of hydration without feeling too heavy or drying.

At the same time, you can immediately see how much is left. The design seems to well represent the black rice ingredient, which I liked. Texture: It has a bit more viscosity than water, but when you dispense it, it flows down smoothly like in the photo. Spreadability: Although I'm dry-skinned and prefer cleansing toners, this product can be used as a cleansing toner, but I think it works better as a regular toner. When I wiped my face with a cotton pad, it didn't absorb or wipe off well, it felt like a coating was left behind. When I patted it onto my face with my hands, it absorbed better. Moisturizing Power: I felt a bit dry when I only applied it once. But when I layered it 3 times and patted it in, the dryness was gone. Overall: I think it's just an average product. It didn't cause any breakouts while using it, but I didn't feel a dramatic improvement in skin texture either. I'll use it more and provide an additional review on the skin texture improvement! (+) I'm not sure about the skin texture improvement yet, but it seems to get better the more I use it. At least, there are no major breakouts, and it provides adequate moisture, which I'm satisfied with.
ConsScent: It might be divisive. It says it has lavender oil, but the scent is a bit stronger, almost like an alcohol-mixed pungent smell? I feel a bit addicted to the scent though. Occasional Stinging: Since it has alcohol, my sensitive skin felt a bit stinging at times. Stickiness: If you pat it in for too long to absorb it, it gets sticky. You need to just lightly pat it in.
TipAfter cleansing my face with a water-based toner, I apply this toner 3 times, patting it in. Then I follow up with an ampoule and a cream, and my skin is perfectly hydrated☆ (Even though it's summer, I'm dry-skinned so I do it this way)
