ConsAlthough it contains cica, which should be soothing, I actually developed small bumps that weren't there before after using this product. It's the only skincare item I've recently changed, and compared to the Skin&Lab cream I loved using in winter, this product, which seemed perfect for spring and summer, is quite disappointing

It's so lightweight that even in hot weather, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It maintains just the right level of hydration - a truly excellent moisturizer.
ConsThe downside is that it's been discontinued. I'm hoping it will be relaunched as a renewed product this year.

It's really effective for soothing and absorbs well due to its lightweight texture.
ConsDiscontinued... sadly discontinued... While it can be occasionally drying, which is a bit disappointing, applying an extra layer helps alleviate deep dryness.

I really liked how lightweight it feels on the skin.
ConsI'm a bit disappointed that glycerin is high up on the ingredient list as it doesn't agree with my skin. Other than that, I don't have any complaints.

Fragrance-free. Those sensitive to scents can use this without hesitation. 2. Ingredients. It seems safe to use as it doesn't contain harmful components. 3. Light finish. Even those who avoid creams in hot summer due to their thick and heavy feel might find this comfortable to use, thanks to its pleasant finish. 4. Hydration. While this cream has a light finish, I appreciated that the moisturizing effect wasn't compromised. It's versatile - you can apply a small amount for a fresh hydration during the day, or layer it on generously at night for an intense moisture boost, similar to a sleeping pack. 5. Absorption. Unlike other creams that sit on top of the skin, this product absorbs well, leaving a refreshing sensation.
Cons1. I felt the price was high for the amount of product. The volume seems too small. 2. Oiliness. While using this cream daily for my skincare routine, both day and night, I noticed that initially it felt fresh and hydrating after absorption. However, as time passed, I was surprised by how much oil surfaced. I thought it might just be due to daytime use, but even when applied at night, I woke up feeling quite oily. This might be challenging for those with oily skin types. 3. Soothing effect. I was disappointed that I didn't really experience the product's main feature - its soothing effect. My skin was in a state of 'total crisis' (redness + blemishes), so I used the product consistently for a month. Unfortunately, I didn't see any significant calming effects on my skin, which was disheartening.

Being a hydrating moisturizer, it's lightweight and moisturizing, making it great for summer use too. After extracting whiteheads and using a centella skin pack, applying this Medisica Calming Hydrating Cream is the perfect finish for calming the skin.
ConsThere are no downsides! Just make sure to stock up when it's on sale.

Although it's a cica cream, unlike other brands, it's not sticky and absorbs quickly, which I love. It's a characteristic of this type of formula! It actually feels more like a hydrating moisturizer, so I used it frequently. Even my husband, who dislikes sticky products, applied it without complaint. I was pleased that it didn't feel heavy even when layered over toner and added as a soothing cream. Due to wearing masks, my husband developed many blemishes around his chin and mouth area. Since it's a non-irritating, gentle cream, he applied it without hesitation. With consistent use, we noticed that existing blemishes calmed down faster than before. However, it couldn't prevent new breakouts from forming due to continued mask-wearing. But that's not really a drawback of the product itself!
Cons1. The quantity is a bit disappointing if you want to use it generously as a sleeping mask. As a Hwahae Tester, I used it liberally to maximize its effects, but for use as a soothing cream, it might be better to apply it consistently to specific areas prone to blemishes, like the forehead and chin. 2. When I first received it, I noticed the packaging was entirely in English. While the green color of the case and its medicinal look suit a cica cream well, if they want to make this product widely known, it might be better to have the front label in Korean for immediate recognition.

I had never tried a cream with such a light texture before, so this was my first experience with such a lightweight moisturizer. I usually use toners with a slightly viscous texture, and I rarely wear makeup, so I've been cleansing with just oil for years without foam cleanser due to my extremely dry skin. When I started getting blemishes, I decided to enter a giveaway for this cica cream on a whim, and luckily I won! The cream applies very smoothly, and the tiny particles in it dissolve and absorb easily into the skin. I've used creams with chunky particles before that were difficult to blend, but these particles melt right in effortlessly. With its light texture, it absorbs really well. The scent is almost fragrance-free, making it easy to use without any issues. I had a lot of blemishes on my forehead, so after washing my face, I gently extracted what I could with a cotton swab, then applied toner, essence, and this cream. After about two weeks, about half of the blemishes have cleared up. I really feel like it's working! I highly recommend this cream for summer use!
ConsPerhaps because my skin is very dry, even though it's summer, I felt a slight tightness after 3-4 hours of applying the cream. So I reapplied it after about 2 hours.
TipSince the cream is lightweight, as someone with dry skin, I applied a generous amount of a richer essence first, then the cream, and reapplied the cream again after 2-3 hours. This way, I didn't experience any tightness.

Absorption: It doesn't feel too rich, so I can apply it before makeup without any pilling. It absorbs well into the skin. 2. Hydration: I have dry skin, but even when I only use this after toner, I don't feel any deep dryness. It's great for a light moisturizing step! 3. Soothing: On the first day of use, my face felt a bit itchy and I thought I might be breaking out, but after that, it became soothing and the small blemishes gradually disappeared, which was great. Now I'm using it well both morning and evening after cleansing. Even though I have dry and sensitive skin, I'm using it without any issues. It's working well for me, so I might consider purchasing it after I finish this one.
ConsAs I mentioned in the positive points above, on the first day of application, my face felt itchy immediately after applying it, and the next morning I had a small pimple. I was tempted to stop using it, wondering if I should continue. However, since I'm not going out much these days due to the current situation, I decided to keep using it consistently. After about three days, the pimple calmed down and my skin wasn't itchy at all, so I used it well both morning and evening. While the first day or two might have been disappointing, after that I used it without any issues, to the point where I don't have any complaints.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsAs a member of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review: ✅ Usage period: 8 days ✅ Skin condition: Combination skin with red blemishes and scars on cheeks and chin ✅ Texture: Thin and hydrating, feels lightweight. The finish seems matte but leaves a slight smoothness. Not unpleasant (though you can't put your face on a pillow for 5 minutes after application) ✅ Scent: Almost undetectable; those with sensitive noses might catch a hint of cool phytoncide(?) ✅ My application method: After evening cleanse and 10-minute toner mask, I apply a thin layer over red scars ✅ Effects: While I can't confirm its effectiveness on blemishes as I'm using it with acne ointment, it does help reduce redness and flushing. The effect is temporary; redness returns if not used consistently
Cons✅ Excessive use of English: Everything from instructions to product name is in English. I had to look it up when I received the package before getting the Hwahae Testers selection message ✅ Price: I don't think it offers great value for money (it's expensive). It performs similarly to my current 12,000 won emulsion. Might seem fine if you don't have anything to compare it to
