It's quite good as a soothing cream. After using exfoliating pads, when my skin became sensitive and red, I applied this before bed, and by the next morning, my skin was calmed down. Overall, my skin was more stable after using this product compared to before.
ConsIt doesn't particularly help with reducing blemishes. I've heard the beads are supposed to dissolve naturally, but I found I shouldn't rub until they do. Also, I'm wondering why all the instructions are in English when it's a Korean product...
TipI found it works well as a substitute for emulsion. If you apply too much at night, your skin might feel slightly oily in the morning, but not excessively so. If you dislike even a bit of oiliness, don't apply too much.

Due to wearing masks, I've been going makeup-free, which caused some skin irritation and a burning sensation. This cream applies smoothly, leaving my skin hydrated without any stickiness. It has a cool feeling when applied, which helped a bit with reducing the burning sensation. The white cream turns transparent as you gently massage it in, leaving your skin feeling moisturized. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I'm quite particular about the level of hydration in creams, but I was satisfied with how this one felt. The cream contains small green beads that absorb quickly. At first, I found these beads a bit bothersome, but I got used to them. I didn't experience any blemishes while using it, and I especially liked that it's fragrance-free, which made me reach for it more often. Some fragrance-free products still have a medicinal scent, but this Medisica Calming Cream is truly unscented, which I appreciate.
ConsIt's disappointing that the product description on the packaging is in English. I don't think this was necessary. It would be better if the information was in Korean so that customers of all ages could easily understand what the product is and how it benefits the skin. The green beads in the cream absorb quickly, but they slightly detract from the initial application experience. It feels a bit like dust rolling on your face. Although this sensation disappears quickly, it might be a matter of personal preference. While it provides sufficient hydration for daytime use in summer, you might feel a bit of dryness if sleeping with air conditioning on during summer nights. It's great for standalone use during the day, but at night you might need to layer it with something else.
TipWhile it's sufficient on its own, you might need additional moisturizer for evening use.

However, there were other aspects I liked: 1. Tube packaging Unlike balm-type products that require a spatula, this one comes in a convenient tube! 2. Fragrance-free I really appreciate that it's unscented! I'm sensitive to fragrances and tend to avoid products with strong scents, so this was perfect. 3. Lightweight finish The texture is similar to 'Atopalm Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Gel Cream' among the creams I've tried! It absorbs quickly, allowing for a non-heavy application.
ConsAs someone who's always trying different skincare products, I bought this to soothe my skin and combat dehydration after suddenly developing small bumps this summer. The product description claimed it would calm the skin and provide hydration, but I didn't experience any of these benefits! However, I didn't lower the rating too much because at least it didn't make my skin worse. Also, while the product contains capsules, I occasionally encountered hard, undissolvable particles - I'm not sure if these were impurities or part of the formula.

As someone with extremely dry skin and a face that's often lacking in hydration, I found that this cream helped fill in the moisture gap that my regular moisturizer couldn't quite manage! I highly recommend this to those with dry skin~
ConsTo be honest, there weren't many downsides. However, the cream contains small blue particles, and I'm not sure what their function is... They seem to just stick to my face, so I'm mentioning this as a potential drawback!
TipFor best results, apply this after your regular moisturizer to create a synergistic effect! It provides an abundance of hydration.
