Wow, what's this? It's surprisingly good! Great value for money, I'm impressed. First off, it excels in the most crucial aspect - no smudging! Once it sets, it's resistant to physical rubbing and tears. Not sure about its oil resistance though. I'll update on that when summer comes. Other pros... The thin pencil makes it easy to draw. The color is a dark brown, almost black. There's also a lighter 'Brown Quartz' shade that's nice. Anyway, the quality is excellent regardless of the color, so I highly recommend buying it. You can get it even cheaper in the Daiso version. That one comes in red packaging, but the product inside is identical. There are no downsides. Maybe that the lead is short so it runs out quickly? But considering the price, it's all good. I want to stock up on about 10 of these! ***Update after using 3*** I take back what I said about no downsides. Maybe because it's thin and soft? It breaks easily, unfortunately. It seems to break more often the longer it's been open. Some break more easily than others... It seems to vary from pencil to pencil. Is it because it's thin and soft? I thought I'd found the perfect pencil eyeliner, but it has this critical flaw of breaking easily. So disappointing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJul 23, 2024
It absorbs well and feels lightweight, which is great! The color is a deep brown. It's so thin that it breaks easily... Still, I use it since it applies well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 25, 2024
It's thin, which makes it easy to draw with, and the color is a nice medium between brown and black. There's nothing particularly bad, but because it's so thin, it tends to break easily, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinJun 3, 2023
I was on the hunt for a thin eyeliner and came across this one. The price was reasonable and the color was just what I wanted, so I decided to give it a try. I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a slim eyeliner. The shade is close to dark brown, neither too black nor too light, and it doesn't float or smudge - it's simply beautiful. Plus, I love that it's matte without any shimmer. The product size might be considered small, but that's to be expected with a thin eyeliner! I don't really see it as a drawback. Just a heads up - some colors in this line have shimmer while others don't, so make sure to check before you buy! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2023
The Merje eyeliner that's already calling for multiple repurchases! 1. Price At 6,900 won, it's an incredible value. While it does seem to wear down a bit faster than expected, the price is so amazingly affordable that you can use it without any financial burden! 2. Definition I usually prefer brown eyeliner since my lashes are naturally dark, and black can make my eyes look too intense and heavy. This bronze opal shade is just perfect. It defines the eyes nicely without being too intense or making them look heavy. → Highly recommended for those who find black too dark and brown not defined enough!!! 3. Easy Application As it's a pencil, even someone with clumsy hands like me can apply it well enough to look decent. Plus, it's convenient with its twist-up mechanism, unlike pencils you need to sharpen. 4. Smudge-proof During an 8-hour outing, I usually need to carry other cosmetics for touch-ups, but with the Merje eyeliner, there's no smudging. It stays defined, so once applied, no touch-ups are needed! Hmm... The downsides are: 1. The formula is too soft While this makes it easier to apply, it breaks easily... Even though I try to be careful, it often snaps unexpectedly even when I'm not applying much pressure, which is quite frustrating. (It's no secret that I repurchased because my last one just broke!) 2. It wears down quickly While it's true that the price-to-quantity ratio is great, the soft formula and pencil format do seem to make it run out faster than you might expect... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 16, 2023
It's easy to apply and draws on smoothly. The color is between black and brown, making it perfect for a natural look. You can create thin, precise lines with it. I've heard it might harden if not used frequently. The amount seems a bit small, but since I don't wear makeup often, it should last me a while. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 21, 2022
TMI about me: I usually avoid eyeliner and mascara because they make my eyes feel uncomfortable when I blink. However, sometimes when I want to look more defined, I lightly line just the outer corners of my eyes. I'm a total makeup newbie! Definitely not a pro. I prefer natural brown shades over black. The slim design of this eyeliner is great - the thin tip makes it easy to draw with precision. It's very flexible to use, which I appreciate. Even though I'm not particularly skilled, I find pencil-type liners much easier to work with! The color is exactly the natural brown I was looking for. The value for money is good too. I think I got it at a reasonable price. You can find it discounted on online sites like Coupang or in Olive Young stores, often cheaper than the original price. It smudges more easily than I expected, unfortunately. Whether it's sweat or oil from my face, I'm not sure, but after applying it and going out, I notice some powder residue on my lower eyelids when I check the mirror a few hours later. Of course, this could also be due to my lack of technique! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2022
* It's a slightly deep brown shade~ * The color is neither too dark nor too light, making it naturally beautiful * It applies thinly and smoothly * I didn't really notice any smudging * Great value for money! * Even when I use it as carefully as possible, the lead is so soft that it keeps breaking off - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 21, 2022
The color is truly natural and I love it so much... It's somewhere between black and brown.. It does break easily, but if you're careful when using it, it's still okay - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2022
It applies thinly and smoothly, making it easy to draw. The color is exactly the dark brown shade I wanted, which I love. The staying power is a bit disappointing, and it tends to smudge a bit when applied to the under-eye area.
