I've lost count of how many I've used! Application: The pencil liner glides on smoothly, making it easy to create a nice wing. The staying power is fantastic too! Longevity: Even when my eyeshadow has faded after a long day, this liner is still going strong. Smudging: There can be a bit of smudging if your eyelids get oily. You can fix this by setting it with a translucent shadow or powder. Might be tricky for beginners... A friend I lent it to said it was a bit challenging to apply. If you're new to eyeliners, I'd recommend trying the brush pen type from the same brand first. But if you're already comfortable with applying eyeliner and need something that won't budge even when you sweat, definitely give this a go. Other brands often have great deals like buy-one-get-one-free, and the price is really reasonable. - ky*********Oily SkinDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2025
It's thin, doesn't smudge, affordable, and not too long, so it fits well in any makeup pouch. I just stock up on these liners and use them exclusively. There's nothing particularly bad... Maybe just that it's so popular, it rarely goes on sale at Olive Young? - ye****Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2025
It's thin, long-lasting, and the color is just right - not too dark or light! The quantity is small, so it runs out quickly... The absorption could be a bit better too. - ki**********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 21, 2025
Wow, what's this? It's surprisingly good! Great value for money, I'm impressed. First off, it excels in the most crucial aspect - no smudging! Once it sets, it's resistant to physical rubbing and tears. Not sure about its oil resistance though. I'll update on that when summer comes. Other pros... The thin pencil makes it easy to draw. The color is a dark brown, almost black. There's also a lighter 'Brown Quartz' shade that's nice. Anyway, the quality is excellent regardless of the color, so I highly recommend buying it. You can get it even cheaper in the Daiso version. That one comes in red packaging, but the product inside is identical. There are no downsides. Maybe that the lead is short so it runs out quickly? But considering the price, it's all good. I want to stock up on about 10 of these! ***Update after using 3*** I take back what I said about no downsides. Maybe because it's thin and soft? It breaks easily, unfortunately. It seems to break more often the longer it's been open. Some break more easily than others... It seems to vary from pencil to pencil. Is it because it's thin and soft? I thought I'd found the perfect pencil eyeliner, but it has this critical flaw of breaking easily. So disappointing. - dl*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsJan 30, 2025
I bought this because it looked thin enough for easy wing application. The price is quite affordable. When I use this for eyeliner, powder falls under my eyes, making a messy appearance. - ym*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 27, 2025
I love how thin it is, making it perfect for precise application. The color payoff and staying power are both impressive. There's nothing I dislike about it. It never smudges, and the colors are beautiful! - cu*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 11, 2024
On my third tube now... It applies smoothly and draws thin lines effortlessly. It's also perfect for tightlining. Being a gel eyeliner, it does tend to smudge. Since it's quite thin, you need to be careful not to twist up too much or it might break easily. - ms*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsOct 11, 2024
It's relatively affordable. The price drops even further during sales, so grab it then. Plus, the lead is incredibly thin. The durability is poor as it breaks too easily, and there's excessive powder fallout. I heard Daiso now carries Merzy eyeliners. Try those first before buying this one. - ju****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 3, 2024
I bought the Bronze Opal shade because black can be too intense and brown is for when I want a softer look. It's thinner than other products, making it easier to apply. Due to the nature of the liner, it glides on smoothly but can smudge or break easily. - sj******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 15, 2024
This is my first time trying a gel liner, and I have to say, it's not bad at all. You need to apply powder carefully before using it. Unfortunately, it breaks easily and tends to smudge a bit.
