As someone with dry skin that always feels parched except for the T-zone in midsummer, I tend to buy toners focusing on hydration. Hydration champion, shall we say? With five types of hyaluronic acid in the formula, it provides a next-level moisture boost. I wondered if it might absorb slowly, but not at all! It actually absorbs quickly. My skin drinks it up without any residue. There's zero stickiness, and it leaves a subtle hydrated glow. The texture is fantastic! It has an almost gel-like consistency that dispenses in precise drops when you turn the bottle upside down. I've also used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, and it glides on super gently without any irritation, feeling like you're applying a gel. It's incredibly smooth! I personally love the clean, blue bottle design. It's visually refreshing and gives the impression that it's going to deliver a ton of hydration to my skin. I appreciate that the ingredients are focused solely on providing hydration, without any unnecessary fragrances or harmful substances.
ConsUnfortunately, it doesn't play well with foundation. After enthusiastically completing my skincare routine, I applied my foundation, only to find it pilling up in little balls somewhere. I don't typically have issues with dead skin cells, so I was confused. Upon closer inspection, I realized the skincare products had clumped up significantly around the edges of my face, almost like dirt. Ah, right... this is the super hyaluronic acid Avengers! I had forgotten that high-concentration hyaluronic acid products can sometimes cause pilling. The shock and horror of discovering these clumps when I needed to leave quickly in the morning! I managed to finish getting ready by gently removing the pilled product, but even my eyeshadow clumped up, requiring me to pat it on repeatedly. Even the thin layer of foundation I applied to my neck (caution: photo) pilled up severely, which was surprising. The price... it's hard to say it's inexpensive for the amount you get. However, I was able to purchase it at a pretty good price during a sale at Olive Young using CJ points. It's also on sale in the Hwahae app, so if you have plenty of points or buy multiple items to reduce shipping costs, that could be a good option.
TipTo be honest, if you want to fully experience this product's hydrating benefits, it's probably best not to use it before applying makeup. It might be ideal to use it on makeup-free days or as part of your nighttime skincare routine, applying a generous amount. And rather than using it as an exfoliating toner, it's probably better to apply several layers with your hands as needed!

I've been using the original Isntree clear bottle product, so I trust the brand.
ConsIt pills like dead skin cells. Even though I let it absorb thoroughly each time I apply it, it forms white, flaky residue on my face. At first, it would come off when touched, but after a while, it would stick to my face like white powder even without touching it. I thought the poor absorption might be due to its thick consistency, but I just can't use this anymore.
TipBuy the Isntree product in the clear bottle! That one is much better. I wasted my money trying this unnecessary alternative.

I keep getting small blemishes, so I'm not going to use it anymore.
ConsNo matter how many reviews I look at, I can't find anyone with the same experience as me. Is it just me? When I apply this, it pills like dead skin. Other products don't do this, but with this one, everything pills off. It's a disaster when I put on makeup - everything comes off. If I rub my face, it falls off in clumps like dead skin. I've been wondering why so much was getting on my mask lately when I wear one, and it turns out it's all this pilled-off product sticking to it. I exfoliate once a week and don't have this issue with other products, but this one always does it. Is there anyone else experiencing this?
TipWhen you pat it in, it gets sticky like glue. You're better off rubbing it in instead.
