Due to a terrible habit of peeling off dead skin as soon as I feel it, I'm stuck in an endless cycle. My lip makeup routine involves glossy looks or applying lip balm over tint. While watching YouTube, I saw a video about using Vaseline for lip care. Since I'm not a fan of Vaseline, I looked around and found recommendations for using La** products for lip exfoliation. Searching on Cou**, I saw that product alongside Carrenoir, which looked suspiciously similar to La**, making me skeptical. However, after reading reviews, I was impressed by the overwhelmingly positive feedback. Plus, the volume and price were much better. I only use stick-type products for on-the-go (I hate rubbing my fingers with outside contaminants on my lips), so I'll use this exclusively for exfoliation at home. After trying it, I'm extremely satisfied. I applied a generous amount, waited about 3 hours, then gently wiped with a cotton swab - the dead skin cells came off effortlessly. Those matte lipsticks I bought for their beautiful colors... The ones that broadcast to the world how much dead skin was on my lips... The ones buried in my drawer... Today, I realized I can finally wear them too!
ConsThe scent is a bit... Remember those lip glosses sold at stationery stores when we were kids? It smells like that, which I'm not particularly fond of.
TipIt looks pink, but it doesn't provide any tone correction when applied. You can test it on the back of your hand and layer it over lip color. For those using it as night care, apply a thick layer generously! The next day, gently remove dead skin cells with a cotton swab. Wet wipes work well for removal too, but make sure to moisturize immediately after using them.
