As someone with dry skin, I struggle with dryness and dead skin cells, so my lips are often parched and flaky. The texture is a creamy consistency with a bit of tackiness. It's not oily, which I appreciate, and the cream formula is just right. There's even a subtle shimmer that makes your lips sparkle! It comes in a round container. You'll want to use a spatula for hygiene, but in a pinch, you can apply it with your fingers or a cotton swab. The hydration is absolutely fantastic. It plumps up the lips, helping to soften dead skin cells. As it moisturizes, your lips become more supple, and fine lines seem to disappear. It's like a plumping effect that leaves your lips looking full and healthy. True to its hydrating power, it leaves your lips noticeably more moisturized after absorption. I highly recommend this for dead skin cell removal! Apply a generous amount before bed, and by morning, the flakes will have softened. Gently wipe them away with a cotton swab for smooth, flake-free lips. I've become so dependent on this routine that if I skip even one day, my lips protest! The balm is pink, but it doesn't really add color when applied. It has a sweet strawberry scent that I love, though it might not be everyone's cup of tea.
ConsOne downside is the potential for blemishes. While it doesn't cause any issues on the lips themselves, I've noticed small pimples forming around my mouth when I accidentally over-apply. This might be due to the rich, moisturizing ingredients that can potentially clog pores if they stray beyond the lip area.
TipFor an extra boost in dead skin cell removal, try this: First, gently wipe your lips with a cotton pad soaked in toner or place a damp cotton pad on your lips to add moisture. Then, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly before using this lip mask. For added hydration, you can also try applying aloe vera gel to your lips.
