You really need to apply it thickly. It's not meant to be absorbed, just let it sit overnight and then wash it off in the morning.

For those of you with lengthy makeup routines, try applying this to your lips before you start your makeup, then blot with a tissue a few times just before applying your lip color.

It's a shame there's no spatula-like tool included. For now, I'm using a cotton swab to apply it, but the narrow opening makes it difficult to use your fingers to scoop it out.
