This is my holy grail for nose contouring. The color is perfect - a cool, ashy shadow tone without any red undertones. However, the pigmentation is quite intense, so I recommend using a small amount. Either tap off the excess powder from your brush and apply lightly for a natural look, or mix it with some translucent powder on your brush before applying. This technique allows for a natural yet defined contour. It's truly amazing. In the photo, the left side of the dotted line shows bare skin, while the right side demonstrates the shadow applied with a Job's tears brush. The color truly mimics natural skin shadows, making it ideal for contouring. The packaging is quite fragile, causing the shadow to break easily. There's also an excessive amount of powder fallout, particularly with this shade. However, the excellent pigmentation makes up for these drawbacks. The intense pigmentation makes it too dark for jaw contouring - I wouldn't recommend it for that. However, it's perfect for precise detailing in small areas like nose contouring and forehead contouring. It really excels at defining those specific contour points. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2020
☆ Color: A muted brown that's perfect for creating shadow and contouring effects. ☆ Versatility: It's a two-in-one product! Use it as a contour or eyeshadow. ☆ Application: The texture is incredibly smooth, with no clumping. It applies beautifully and blends effortlessly. ☆ Price: Can you believe the quality you're getting at this price point? It's an absolute steal - stock up now! If you've ever felt that your contour looks too yellow, I highly recommend trying BBIA's Job's Tears shade. I was on the hunt for a contour that wasn't too warm-toned, so I ordered this along with BBIA's Macadamia shade. If your current contour appears too yellow, give BBIA Job's Tears a shot. It might just become your holy grail contour product! There aren't many downsides, to be honest. If I had to nitpick, I'd say there's a bit of excess due to the fine texture, and the case can be slightly tricky to open. But honestly, as this is my holy grail contour, I can't find much fault with it. For a sculpted nose, try layering! Apply BBIA Macadamia as a base contour, then add BBIA Job's Tears on top where you want deeper shadows. It's also beautiful as a base for creating sultry, shadowy eye looks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 12, 2020
The color has almost no red or yellow undertones, making it excellent for contouring. It has a subtle mix of brown and gray, so I recommend it as a cool-toned contour shade. There's quite a bit of excess powder when using a brush. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2020
I've used this for contouring before, and it seems to apply beautifully. The color appears slightly darker than it looks in the pan, which is nice. I appreciate that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. I bought this shade to use as eyeshadow, but I'm not sure if it's just me, but it didn't look very pretty when applied to the eyes. The color seemed a bit dull... There's also some excess powder fallout. I bought it along with a cinnamon shade, and based on appearance, I thought I'd use this one more, but it's not really a color I reach for often. I'd recommend it for contouring though. I recommend using a brush rather than your fingers for application. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinOct 31, 2018
As someone with a light to bright cool undertone (19-21 shade) and prone to uneven pigmentation, this is the quintessential cool-toned product for me. Other cool-toned shades I use: Etude's Radial Grey has a subtle pearl finish, making it unsuitable for contouring. It's very grey, but I didn't notice much difference. I recently bought Ameli's Macaron Grey but haven't tested it yet. It does look quite grey though. * Update (18/01/2019): While it has almost no brown undertones, it creates a very natural shadow effect perfect for nose contouring. It fades over time, but I've been using Macaron Grey for nose contouring lately. I haven't tried BBIA's Peanut Blossom yet. Yulmu is a low-saturation brown without excessive yellow undertones, which I love! ★★★★★ I use it for: Nose contouring Cheek contouring Under-lip contouring T-zone contouring Everything! For lighter makeup looks, I even use it as an eye shadow. Sweeping it across the eye socket (as beauty YouTuber Pony suggests) creates a subtle, exotic look. For someone like me with uneven pigmentation, if applied incorrectly, it can look patchy! It seems a bit reddish, or perhaps too dark. Recently, I've found it challenging to control. Update (16/01/2019): For me, a light sweep seems to work best for a natural look. I feel that controlling the amount is crucial. If the shade were just slightly lighter in the same color family, I think it would be perfect. Also, there's significant excess powder... If you don't tap off the brush after picking up the product, you'll end up with powder sticking to your skin. Lastly, the more you layer it, the greyer it becomes. I have to be careful when applying it as an eye shadow too. I recommend those with cool undertones and skin similar to or lighter than shade 21 to give this a try! The prettiest color comes out when you lightly sweep it once or twice, rather than heavily layering it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2018
The shadow color is so natural, I mainly use it for nose contouring and aegyo sal (under-eye area) There's quite a bit of excess powder fallout. When applying with a brush, it feels a bit wasteful - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2018
Though it's marketed as an eyeshadow, this shade is perfect for contouring! The low-saturation brown color creates the ideal shadow effect. While the pigmentation is intense, requiring careful application to avoid patchiness, once you master that, it looks even more natural than many contouring blushers. It's a game-changer for softening a sharp jawline! I'm already on my second one since the eyeshadow pan is small. For those who find yellow or red eyeshadows challenging, this muted shade is easy on the eyes. Its subtlety is its strength, complementing any lip color without clashing. The price is a steal too! With just this Job's Tears shade in your makeup bag, you're good to go - no need for multiple products. While I love this color so much that I overlook its flaws, it's not one of those modern formulas that's creamy, firmly pressed, and free from fallout. There's more powder kickup than you might expect, so you'll need to control the amount you use. And yes, you might go through it quickly... I highly recommend trying this as a contour! Those with very fair skin might find it a bit intense, but for most, I think you'll be satisfied. It also works beautifully as an eyeshadow and eyebrow color! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 19, 2018
I've been using this since it first came out and now I've repurchased it. It seems to create a natural shadow effect around the eyes. There's a lot of excess powder fallout and the staying power isn't great. I have to reapply it frequently. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2018
• Highly recommended for those seeking a gray-beige color, especially if you need nose contouring. • This product is specifically designed for nose contouring. It's impressive how perfectly it achieves that subtle shadow effect. I tried it for nose contouring after reading a review, and it really defined my nose line without looking artificial. • The color is a gray-beige shade. I usually avoid grayish eyeshadows, but this one blends beautifully with other shadows. It works great in the middle of the lid, and when applied more intensely along the inner crease line, it really makes the eyes pop. • The texture is incredibly smooth and applies effortlessly. There's no shimmer at all, so if you're looking for a matte shadow, you should definitely give this a try. It's truly excellent for nose contouring. • Due to its softness, a lot of product comes off when using a brush. There's also some excess powder, so it's best to tap off the excess and control the amount before applying. This way, you can achieve a more natural application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 25, 2018
Shadow for eyebrows I use Eat for outlining my eyebrow guide, then fill in mainly with Yulmu, and define the tail end with Cinnamon. Though I haven't tried it for contouring, I think it could work well for that too. The only downside is a bit of excess powder fallout. Highly recommended colors for eyebrows and contouring! They look incredibly natural!
