This base makeup was trendy for several years, but it seems it's been discontinued now. I used it a few years ago when my makeup often looked cakey. The subtle shimmer made my complexion look better. It was quite expensive. Being a base product, you could only use a small amount at a time. - wb****Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2023
Applying this before makeup gives such a lovely subtle glow. It's not an artificial shine, but a natural radiance that seems to come from within, like my skin's own Inner Glow! I really love it. Whatever you do, avoid applying it near your eyes. It makes eyeshadow clump up and look strange. Also, the price is quite steep, so I managed to snag it for around 30,000 won at a duty-free shop. - ya*****Dry SkinRecommendedDec 6, 2022
I've used about three bottles of this. The subtle Inner Glow is nice, but once I touch up my makeup, the glow seems to disappear. While I absolutely adore MAC, I'm on the fence about continuing with this one. It's fine if you think of it as a hydrating base - it's not drying at all. It also works well as a brightening moisturizer. However, as a glow base, it's a bit... underwhelming. It's incredibly natural-looking, though. Those who prefer heavier coverage might not even notice it, as the glow isn't as intense as you might expect. Still, while using it, I did receive quite a few compliments on my complexion. It's a decent product, just not quite up to my personal standards for visible results. I'm not using it currently, but I find myself considering giving it another try. Given that it's not exactly budget-friendly... It's definitely different from the flashy, pearl-laden glow bases you find in high street shops. There must be a reason it's a bestseller. For those with a shade 23 complexion, it might feel a bit off. If you apply foundation or cushion somewhat heavily, keep in mind that the glow might not be as noticeable as you'd expect. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 8, 2022
It makes my skin incredibly hydrated and gives a beautiful glow even after applying makeup The slight oiliness makes it feel a bit slippery, which is somewhat disappointing - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 7, 2022
After using it, that area becomes more moisturized, reducing the feeling of makeup floating on your face. When applied well, it gives a subtle glow that makes your skin look smooth. The subtle glow is nice, but if you're heavy-handed, it's essential to control the amount. Your makeup might end up looking cakey. Sometimes you might wonder if it's even working. - gi*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinNov 2, 2021
Gives a pearlescent, plump look to the skin. Makes your complexion appear luminous and glowing! It was challenging to use for those with uneven skin texture. The effect looks pretty only from a distance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2021
It's wonderfully moisturizing with a subtle opal pearl sheen that gives a luxurious finish The coverage is comparable to a basic moisturizer, so don't expect much in terms of concealing power compared to recent products Great for enhancing your bare face as a base product - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2020
I got a sample from MAC and loved it so much I bought the full size. With its subtle shimmer, skin-perfecting effect, and ability to extend makeup wear, this smart product really excels as a makeup base. It would have been even better if it had some SPF protection. Applying a thin layer with a brush seems to enhance the subtle effect even more. - tk*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRednessSep 28, 2020
1. Absorbs well as a base layer 2. Great for creating a subtle and natural glow 1. The container is hard to describe - it's not a squeeze tube, but the product oddly drips out 2. More difficult than expected to achieve the desired glow. You need to use a lot for the desired effect, which makes it tricky to apply to specific areas 3. It's surprisingly hard to wash off your hands once it gets on them To be honest, I'm not sure why this product is so popular - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 24, 2020
The pearlescent shimmer is subtle and applies thinly and evenly without feeling heavy If you choose the wrong foundation, it can dull the glow, making the application pointless. That's why it's trickier to use than powder highlighters
