I'm not sure if it's thanks to this cream, the sheet mask I received as a gift, or just a great combination of products.
ConsThe initial application felt so nice that on a day when my skin was tired and stressed, I applied it generously. I almost had a skin reaction. It seemed like red patches were appearing in various areas, but I quickly calmed my skin down to prevent a major issue. I won't be reaching for this product again...

ConsWhen I applied it to my face, it stung and felt quite irritating. I thought I'd get used to it, so I tried again the next day, but my skin reacted badly. The niacinamide ingredient doesn't seem to suit super sensitive skin like mine. Next time, I'll have to try a daily emulsion without niacinamide.

Seems perfect for those with oily skin.
ConsFor some reason, my skin reacted terribly. I got an outbreak of countless, stubborn blemishes all over.

After using Stridex, my skin became extremely sensitive, but after about 2 weeks of using CeraVe, my skin has become more resilient! In the past, even small irritations would quickly make my skin sensitive (like temperature changes, after exercising, or using face masks), but these days my skin has become so strong that I hardly feel any irritation. My skin produces less oil now. My dermatologist recommended this for my seborrheic dermatitis, saying it was causing excess oil production, and after using it, I really feel like there's less oil. Before, my face would be an oil slick 3 hours after washing, and I always carried oil blotting papers, but now I don't even need them! My redness has disappeared! I used to always have redness, but since using this, it has significantly faded. Overall impression: It's incredibly gentle, and the ceramide ingredients really seem to strengthen the skin. It absorbs quickly, and after absorption, it feels like a thin protective layer has been applied.
ConsSince it's not a moisturizer, it can feel a bit dry if used alone. 5/16 Update: Around the 3-week mark, my skin strangely broke out. My skin was itchy every day, and I thought it was due to demodex mites, but when I looked it up, I found many people experiencing similar itchiness and sudden breakouts... I wonder what's causing this? My skin doesn't usually react like this - it's the first time in 7 years, since my senior year of high school, that my skin has broken out this badly. I'm really upset about it. 5/24 Update: I visited the dermatologist last week, and it turns out it wasn't a reaction to the product, but folliculitis! After treatment, I started using it again and it seems fine! I guess I unfairly blamed CeraVe...
TipCeraVe PM: When used alone - feels dry CeraVe PM + CeraVe Moisturizing Cream: Feels like an extra layer is added, but still dry Ampoule + CeraVe PM + CeraVe Moisturizing Cream: Not super hydrating, but the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream feels like it creates a coating that prevents the ampoule from evaporating, which is nice

Even better, it's colorless and fragrance-free. For real!
ConsFor some reason I can't explain, my skin had a bad reaction after using this...

After reading some treatment reviews, I decided to give this a try. While a blog analyzing ingredients mentioned it contains some components typically found in hair conditioners and parabens, which gave me pause, I was still intrigued. The formula seems to have many ingredients that contribute to good absorption. When I first applied it, I was impressed by how easily it spread and provided lightweight hydration without feeling oily. It seemed promising up to that point.
ConsUnfortunately, seborrheic dermatitis often comes with inflammation and itching. I had read reviews saying this product helped reduce itching, so I applied it multiple times. However, by the second day, I noticed small bumps appearing all over. My existing seborrheic dermatitis remained unchanged, but now I had these additional bumps. I had to stop using it after just two days. I'm devastated, not knowing what ingredient didn't agree with me. To make matters worse, I paid international shipping fees to buy this (from Gmarket). I'm worried I might have received an expired product from the seller. I've gone back to using just my antifungal cream and regular moisturizer. It's so frustrating dealing with seborrheic dermatitis! I wish I could use richer moisturizers, but it seems impossible to find one that works. It's truly disheartening.

Love that it has a pump lock feature.
ConsThis product gifted me with the worst skin reaction ever. Don't ignore the slight tingling when you first apply it. After the second application, I woke up to find my entire face covered in countless comedones and bumpy blemishes. Extreme redness and flaky dead skin cells were a bonus. My face was both itchy and had a burning sensation at the same time. It's been ten days, and I'm still trying to recover.

The container is small and easy to handle The bottle is compact with a great grip. Its small size would be convenient for travel too. 2. Excellent ingredients It contains all the components needed for skin barrier health. It seems to be one of the few products that includes long-chain and short-chain ceramides, cholesterol, phytosphingosine, and niacinamide - ingredients that help strengthen the skin barrier and regulate sebum production. Plus, it's oil-free and non-comedogenic, making it suitable for oily and sensitive skin. That's why I had such high expectations.
Cons1. Skin reaction I'm not sure what didn't agree with me, but by the second day of use, my skin became noticeably red and irritated. For context, I have extremely oily skin and didn't think I was sensitive, but after testing a few new products recently, I suspect I might be closer to having sensitive skin. I'm not sure if it was the niacinamide or another ingredient that caused the issue, but my skin became red as if I was having an allergic reaction, so I immediately stopped using it. I've been trying to use products with better ingredients than typical essences, emulsions, or moisturizers, but why do none of them seem to work for me? 2. Only available through international shipping Unfortunately, this product can only be purchased through international shipping, which might be inconvenient for some. Personally, if I found the perfect product for my skin, I wouldn't mind ordering from overseas forever... Also, if you decide to buy it, make sure you're getting the renewed version. The difference in ingredients between the old and new versions isn't significant, but there seems to be a slight variation in concentrations. I didn't check properly and ordered from the cheapest site, only to receive the pre-renewal product. It took a week to arrive via international shipping, and then I had to request an exchange, pay for return postage, and wait another week. I was patient because I had such high hopes, which made it even more disappointing when it didn't work out. 3. No expiration date Being a US product, it doesn't have a manufacturing or expiration date. While it likely has a long shelf life due to the parabens, it still feels a bit unsettling. There is a product number on the container or box, and I read online that you can contact CeraVe with this number to get the manufacturing date, with the shelf life being about 3 years from manufacture. I emailed CeraVe headquarters with the product number, but when they saw my Korean address, they said it wasn't under their jurisdiction and told me to ask where I bought it from. I purchased it from an online store that buys and ships from the US on the same day, so I'm not sure why it's not their jurisdiction. I guess I'll just have to trust that they sent a recently manufactured product, given the parabens...
TipI waited for over two weeks, made inquiries, and had such high hopes... The ingredients seemed almost perfect, and it was supposed to be suitable for oily skin. I thought I had finally found my go-to moisturizer. But my skin reacted badly right away, which is really disappointing. Despite this, the reason I still recommend this product is that it just didn't suit me personally, and it's hard to find a moisturizer with such a great combination of ingredients. I'm really envious of those who can use this product successfully. It looks like I'll have to continue my search for the right product.

ConsAs someone with super sensitive skin, I agonized over this purchase, but it ended up causing blemishes and completely wrecking my complexion. I know everyone's skin reacts differently, but for me it was a disaster.
