The product applies thinly and adheres well to the skin. It's easy to control the amount you use, and it spreads smoothly for a natural makeup look. The thin application allows for a seamless, natural finish. Unfortunately, the makeup tends to separate quickly and doesn't have great staying power. Also, considering the quality, the price point is a bit on the higher side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 11, 2021
They also have this in cushion form! The coverage is great without feeling thick. It applies in a nice thin layer that's just perfect. I absolutely love it! It's a bit matte, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin. However, it's not extremely drying, so if you're diligent with your skincare routine before applying, it should work fine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2021
It's decent enough to use... You need to apply it thinly and pat it in thoroughly multiple times! This was my first foundation purchase, and since I was inexperienced, I found this type of foundation difficult to apply, and the coverage was underwhelming. Even now, I struggle with application, and it tends to break down easily. In summer, when wearing a mask, it washes off with sweat... The staying power was decent throughout my school day! Even with a thin layer, it provides good coverage. It tends to settle a bit around the sides of my nose... And inevitably, a slight oiliness starts to appear as the day goes on... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2021
Honest review from my own purchase: The initial feel of the texture is moisturizing, and I thought it had a pretty standard consistency. It's not so runny that it drips down, Nor is it thick enough to hold its shape firmly. It seems to be just right for easy application. Spreading it isn't difficult at all, So it's great for a light makeup look too. After applying, it feels somewhat powdery, And once it's fully dry, it even has a slightly crisp feel to it. For those curious about uneven skin texture! Having enlarged pores is useful when reviewing foundations, I must say... It filled in sagging and wrinkled texture quite firmly. Of course, for large pores, it's better to use a separate primer. If you don't apply your skincare properly, your skin won't look matte, but rather dry and flaky, As if your dead skin cells are announcing, 'Hey, we're right here!' The skin texture looks even worse than bare skin without makeup. This is just my personal opinion, but unless you have very oily skin, I think it's better to use a damp makeup sponge! Although it's a semi-matte formula, this foundation finishes quite crisp and dry. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2020
Let's be honest, I think everyone knows how great The Face Shop's foundation is. It's probably the top choice for a high-quality, budget-friendly foundation. These days, I don't wear it often because of masks, but when I have to take my mask off for a bit and I'm not feeling confident about my skin, I can apply a thin layer and it evens out my complexion beautifully. The only downside is that its staying power can vary wildly depending on your skin condition. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 17, 2020
Applying multiple thin layers really gave great coverage! I can't think of any downsides, actually. I'm even considering repurchasing it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 14, 2020
I have combination dehydrated skin, super sensitive skin, and lots of blemishes. Firstly, the coverage is excellent, concealing most blemishes even with a thin layer! Unless you sweat a lot, it doesn't break down much. It's a matte type, so mixing it with a moisturizer or essence works great. It's so matte that you really need to blend it quickly, and if you apply it even slightly thick, your skin looks artificial. The ingredients don't seem particularly gentle, so using it daily might be a bit harsh on the skin. First, apply it all over with your hands, then pat it in with a puff to finish. The key is to complete the application quickly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2020
It's on the darker side for a typical 23 shade, which I appreciate. Even with a thin layer, it provides good coverage and lasting power, so I repurchased. There is some transfer when wearing a mask though. It tends to darken a bit as time passes after initial application. There's slight transfer onto masks, and if applied too thickly, it can pill and settle into pores. However, it's fine when applied in a thin layer. I find it works best when I dispense some on the back of my hand, spread it thinly, and then apply with a sponge. This method improves longevity and allows for a nice, thin application! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinAug 26, 2020
It's moisturizing and provides great coverage. Best of all, it applies thinly and evenly, doesn't cake, and has long-lasting staying power. It tends to transfer a bit, and there's slight pilling or clumping. The adherence to the skin is below expectations. Don't apply it too thickly or in layers. Instead, apply a thin layer, use concealer for areas that need more coverage, and finish with a light dusting of powder for the best results.
