The scent seems quite nice, and compared to other products, it doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff, which I really appreciate. It's a bit disappointing how thin the consistency is. You need to pump it several times to get enough product, and you have to be quick when using it or it might dry out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2020
The lather is better than the green version, and it leaves my hair feeling a bit less dry and frizzy. Ugh, it makes my scalp itchy and leaves an oily residue. While it's better than some other shampoos, I'm still going to switch to something else for my seborrheic dermatitis. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 5, 2020
The natural ingredients seem to soften even the ends of my hair. It appears to suit my scalp well. I appreciated that it doesn't have a strong scent. Plus, it lathers up nicely. It might not be suitable for all scalp types. My husband says it feels a bit drying for him. For best results, work up a good lather in your hands before applying it to your scalp. Massage it in, leave it for 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2019
My hair feels incredibly soft just from shampooing. I trust it because of its natural ingredients. Oil builds up faster than usual, and after just one day, the scalp odor is no joke. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 18, 2019
When I started noticing rapid hair loss, I began searching for anti-hair loss shampoos. I decided to try this one made by a salon specializing in hair loss treatments, and I absolutely love it! The lather is quite generous, and the cleansing effectiveness seems excellent. We've been using this shampoo in our household for nearly a year now. I also purchased the volume treatment along with it, and I feel like it's transformed my once-frizzy hair into something much softer. There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to mention something, it would be that the volume treatment comes in a rather small quantity. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2019
My hair feels as soft as if I've had a treatment, making me want to touch it constantly. I have straight, color-treated hair, and while it doesn't give quite the same volume as L showed in her Instagram video, there's still enough volume to create beautiful styles. I experienced scalp swelling and itching, so I came to check the ingredient analysis. It turns out this isn't good for sensitive scalps. While I sometimes get blemishes depending on the shampoo, this is the first time I've had swelling and itching like this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2019
1. The ingredients are good quality. 2. It has a better feel than the green shampoo. 3. Seems to consider hair texture as well. 4. Lathers well. 5. The scent is pleasant despite not using artificial fragrances. 6. The cleansing effectiveness seems decent. 7. For those it suits, it could be the ultimate shampoo. 8. In my opinion, this shampoo seems more suitable for women than men. (Recommended for women) Before writing this review, I hope the designer who created this shampoo reads it. This is my personal opinion and feedback on my experience, so some may agree while others may not. Please keep this in mind. I've been using the original green shampoo since its launch. After many reviews saying it was too drying, they changed some ingredients and their order, and added a few things. (I haven't tried the reformulated green shampoo.) Moving on to the main point, I can feel the immense passion put into creating the Dear Velvet shampoo. However, in my view, it's a disappointing product. First, the primary purpose of shampoo is to cleanse impurities, sebum, and dust. Looking at the Dear Velvet shampoo ingredients, there are many extracts and components for hair health - it's trying to achieve two goals at once. But it's important to know that the more extracts there are, the higher the chance of side effects. This means while it may work for some, others are more likely to experience scalp blemishes. Simply put, the reason 'skincare dieting' is good is that you use only the ingredients that work for you to achieve the best results. The more products you use, the higher the chance of using ingredients that don't suit you, increasing the risk of irritation. Also, due to the hair-nourishing ingredients, I think people with oily scalps might find it heavy. What's disappointing is that I believe shampoo should focus on cleansing, while hair texture should be addressed with conditioner. Of course, for those this shampoo suits, it might achieve both goals, but in my opinion, it has a much higher chance of causing scalp blemishes than the green shampoo. (Personally, I'm experiencing irritation now.) Personally, I think the green shampoo is for men, oily scalps, and somewhat sensitive scalps (it has relatively fewer extracts). This is based on the original formula right after launch. The reason is it has less lather compared to Dear Velvet, but men with short hair can still clean effectively with it. While it might feel a bit drying right after washing, once your hair dries, it doesn't feel dry at all. (I think this shampoo is perfect for men as they generally perm or dye their hair less than women.) Dear Velvet - Women's shampoo, for dry hair, not for sensitive scalps. It lathers well even with a small amount, perfect for those with long hair. It's also great for women who frequently perm or dye their hair as it considers hair texture. I'd recommend this more for women than men. However, with its many extracts and focus on hair health, I think it could be problematic for those with sensitive scalps. Lastly, I'd like to say: Please relaunch the original green shampoo from before the reformulation! I never had any scalp issues with that one, but Dear Velvet is causing irritation on my scalp... I hope my review is helpful.
