I noticed about a 5% reduction in hair loss during washing, so I'd say its anti-hair loss effectiveness is comparable to other standard anti-hair loss shampoos.
ConsPersonally, I found the fragrance to be the most impressive feature. However, based on the product description, it doesn't seem to be primarily focused on scent. While it does offer some anti-hair loss benefits, making it worth trying, I'd hesitate to purchase it at full price despite these qualities.

While many reviews mention it doesn't lather much, as someone with a very oily scalp, I find it foams up satisfactorily. It also has fairly good cleansing effectiveness! And... a pretty bottle?
ConsDespite its 'Velvet' name, I didn't notice my hair becoming silkier or less prone to falling out.
TipHair loss isn't solved just by changing shampoos, but I guess some things never change, unfortunately.

It's also great that we can use it together with our kids.
ConsIt doesn't lather much, which makes me think it might not cleanse the scalp very well. I keep getting dandruff.

It lathers well and has a pleasant scent. I think I've been using it for almost two years now!
ConsI didn't notice the dramatic effects or hair thickening that I saw mentioned on social media. Though, to be fair, I didn't observe too closely.

ConsIt's a bit disappointing how thin the consistency is. You need to pump it several times to get enough product, and you have to be quick when using it or it might dry out.

It appears to suit my scalp well. I appreciated that it doesn't have a strong scent. Plus, it lathers up nicely.
ConsIt might not be suitable for all scalp types. My husband says it feels a bit drying for him.
TipFor best results, work up a good lather in your hands before applying it to your scalp. Massage it in, leave it for 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

I bought it in bulk!
ConsAt first, I thought I saw results, but after using it for a few months, I'm not so sure anymore.

The ingredients are good quality. 2. It has a better feel than the green shampoo. 3. Seems to consider hair texture as well. 4. Lathers well. 5. The scent is pleasant despite not using artificial fragrances. 6. The cleansing effectiveness seems decent. 7. For those it suits, it could be the ultimate shampoo. 8. In my opinion, this shampoo seems more suitable for women than men. (Recommended for women)
ConsBefore writing this review, I hope the designer who created this shampoo reads it. This is my personal opinion and feedback on my experience, so some may agree while others may not. Please keep this in mind. I've been using the original green shampoo since its launch. After many reviews saying it was too drying, they changed some ingredients and their order, and added a few things. (I haven't tried the reformulated green shampoo.) Moving on to the main point, I can feel the immense passion put into creating the Dear Velvet shampoo. However, in my view, it's a disappointing product. First, the primary purpose of shampoo is to cleanse impurities, sebum, and dust. Looking at the Dear Velvet shampoo ingredients, there are many extracts and components for hair health - it's trying to achieve two goals at once. But it's important to know that the more extracts there are, the higher the chance of side effects. This means while it may work for some, others are more likely to experience scalp blemishes. Simply put, the reason 'skincare dieting' is good is that you use only the ingredients that work for you to achieve the best results. The more products you use, the higher the chance of using ingredients that don't suit you, increasing the risk of irritation. Also, due to the hair-nourishing ingredients, I think people with oily scalps might find it heavy. What's disappointing is that I believe shampoo should focus on cleansing, while hair texture should be addressed with conditioner. Of course, for those this shampoo suits, it might achieve both goals, but in my opinion, it has a much higher chance of causing scalp blemishes than the green shampoo. (Personally, I'm experiencing irritation now.)
TipPersonally, I think the green shampoo is for men, oily scalps, and somewhat sensitive scalps (it has relatively fewer extracts). This is based on the original formula right after launch. The reason is it has less lather compared to Dear Velvet, but men with short hair can still clean effectively with it. While it might feel a bit drying right after washing, once your hair dries, it doesn't feel dry at all. (I think this shampoo is perfect for men as they generally perm or dye their hair less than women.) Dear Velvet - Women's shampoo, for dry hair, not for sensitive scalps. It lathers well even with a small amount, perfect for those with long hair. It's also great for women who frequently perm or dye their hair as it considers hair texture. I'd recommend this more for women than men. However, with its many extracts and focus on hair health, I think it could be problematic for those with sensitive scalps. Lastly, I'd like to say: Please relaunch the original green shampoo from before the reformulation! I never had any scalp issues with that one, but Dear Velvet is causing irritation on my scalp... I hope my review is helpful.

The Dear Velvet fragrance is absolutely delightful, and the lather is so rich and creamy. Sometimes when I use shampoos at friends' houses or elsewhere, I notice the difference. With this one, even a small amount allows me to scrub my scalp thoroughly, which I love. The cleansing effectiveness is impressive - it leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean and refreshed. When drying my hair, I've noticed that the roots don't fall flat. Instead, there's a noticeable volume at the crown that doesn't deflate. I've always switched between different shampoo brands, but starting from the green premium line, Aheads has finally helped me settle on a shampoo. I'm so grateful for that!
ConsHmm... I haven't found any downsides yet! I'm quite satisfied with it. If I notice any areas for improvement after using it more, I'll make sure to update my review!
TipPro tip? Try using a scalp brush while shampooing. It eliminates that uneasy feeling of scratching with your nails and allows for a refreshingly thorough cleanse of your scalp!
