When I first used it, I experienced an immediate cooling effect and felt like I was losing less hair After continued use, I noticed my hair loss seemed to return, so now I'm alternating it with regular shampoos - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 28, 2020
After giving birth, I was losing so much hair that I've been consistently using anti-hair loss shampoo. Every wash includes a pre-shampoo and brush routine. I'm almost through my fifth bottle of Dear Velvet. I've been using Ahc's green shampoo since it launched, so that's about 3 years now. I switched to Dear Velvet as soon as it came out and have been using it ever since. Compared to the green bottle, Velvet gives more strength to the hair roots. It definitely makes my hair look fuller. The fullness gradually fades over time, but it lasts quite a while. My hair is definitely falling out less, suggesting stronger roots. It's not a medication though, so it doesn't grow new hair. The tiny new hairs that do appear are weak and will likely fall out soon... If I wash every other day, I lose an insane amount of hair. So those with hair loss issues must wash daily. If you have oily hair, washing twice is correct. The formula is thin. It's quite powerful, so I've had mishaps several times when pumping. The price is wickedly high. While it does improve root strength and fullness, it doesn't grow new hair or cure hair loss, so I'm deducting one star. I've used 5 bottles of Velvet since it came out, but my hair texture is at its worst. It's stiff as a board. When it's fully dry, I look like I have a lion's mane. Conditioner is absolutely recommended! Soak your scalp thoroughly with warm water to soften it. Pre-shampooing is essential. (1st wash: Similar to cleansing your face. Not much lather. Soften the scalp with water and do a first shampoo. Think of it as washing away surface dirt and oil.) (2nd wash: You'll get rich lather. Relax your hands and massage your scalp with a brush from the hairline. It feels like someone else is washing your hair. Cleanse thoroughly.) Let it sit for 2-3 minutes. This is perfect time to brush your teeth. Rinse your scalp extremely thoroughly, more than you think necessary. When drying with a towel, never rub or twist your hair. Always dry your scalp with cool air. If you don't dry it, even with good shampoo, fungus can grow on your scalp. That's a cause of seborrheic dermatitis! Let's work together for the sake of every precious strand of hair. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 26, 2020
I decided to buy this shampoo because I heard it has great ingredients. After giving birth, my hair loss became severe, so I was more drawn to this type of product rather than supermarket shampoos. When my hair is particularly oily, if I do a pre-wash, the second lather produces an incredible amount of foam. Most importantly, I feel like the amount of hair falling out has decreased. Compared to supermarket shampoos, my hair feels a bit tighter when drying, but I like that healthy feeling! It has a slight liquid hand soap scent, reminiscent of bathroom soap. Maybe because I'm used to supermarket shampoos, but I find the lather disappointing and the cleansing effectiveness seems minimal! The price is also quite high, which makes me sad. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 18, 2019
When I started noticing rapid hair loss, I began searching for anti-hair loss shampoos. I decided to try this one made by a salon specializing in hair loss treatments, and I absolutely love it! The lather is quite generous, and the cleansing effectiveness seems excellent. We've been using this shampoo in our household for nearly a year now. I also purchased the volume treatment along with it, and I feel like it's transformed my once-frizzy hair into something much softer. There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to mention something, it would be that the volume treatment comes in a rather small quantity.
