I was looking for a new shampoo because my regular one was causing a lot of hair loss. That's when I discovered Aheads products. Among them, Dear Velvet stood out as the gentlest and most soothing option, which I absolutely love. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. When I stock up during sales, the price becomes quite reasonable. - ks*****Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 2, 2021
While it doesn't produce an abundance of lather, its main attraction is an indescribably luxurious woody scent that I've never encountered in other shampoos. I noticed about a 5% reduction in hair loss during washing, so I'd say its anti-hair loss effectiveness is comparable to other standard anti-hair loss shampoos. Personally, I found the fragrance to be the most impressive feature. However, based on the product description, it doesn't seem to be primarily focused on scent. While it does offer some anti-hair loss benefits, making it worth trying, I'd hesitate to purchase it at full price despite these qualities. - ha******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsSep 14, 2021
The scent is to my liking, giving off a luxurious fragrance. While many reviews mention it doesn't lather much, as someone with a very oily scalp, I find it foams up satisfactorily. It also has fairly good cleansing effectiveness! And... a pretty bottle? Despite its 'Velvet' name, I didn't notice my hair becoming silkier or less prone to falling out. Hair loss isn't solved just by changing shampoos, but I guess some things never change, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedDec 28, 2020
My scalp feels calmer and it lathers up better than expected, making it easy to use It doesn't cause any blemishes and I can't really find any downsides to this shampoo - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 10, 2020
The cleansing effectiveness seems decent, though the lather isn't particularly rich. I didn't experience any itching or breakouts on my scalp while using it. After washing, my hair feels too stiff, making it difficult to run my fingers through the scalp area. Also, it's practically fragrance-free. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2020
My wife loved the scent of this shampoo. It's also great that we can use it together with our kids. It doesn't lather much, which makes me think it might not cleanse the scalp very well. I keep getting dandruff. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 27, 2020
I got the impression that it's not too harsh on the skin. To be honest, it's quite pricey, and I couldn't feel that it was as good as advertised. - lj*******Oily SkinAtopic SkinAug 25, 2020
The cleansing effectiveness is better than when the original Ahc shampoo was first released. I have an oily scalp and tend to have a lot of heat in my head. After using this shampoo, I developed redness and had to stop using it immediately. It's best to test it with a small amount for a week. I recommend trying a sample for a week before committing to regular use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 9, 2020
When I first used it, I experienced an immediate cooling effect and felt like I was losing less hair After continued use, I noticed my hair loss seemed to return, so now I'm alternating it with regular shampoos - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 22, 2020
I can't say there was anything good about it... It's supposed to be better for hair texture, but I'm not sure about that. The ingredients seem to have been upgraded, but it irritated my scalp. For me, when a product contains chemical ingredients, my scalp gets itchy, and in severe cases, it becomes inflamed. This product turned out to be one of those. I had to throw it away...
