Shade 13/Dry skin/Monolids The coverage is truly amazing. You can apply it thinly and evenly without it feeling heavy. The adherence isn't bad either. When applied with a brush, it covers pores incredibly well. Really good stuff! It might be a bit disappointing for those who prefer a sheer application and a natural skin look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 17, 2020
Not much to praise, honestly. If I had to pick something, I guess it spread thinly and evenly when applied with a Daiso puff? First off, it severely emphasizes dead skin cells and causes makeup to separate. Worst of all, the coverage is terribly poor. I regret buying this Etude House foundation based on a friend's recommendation. You might want to go for a shade about two tones darker than your actual complexion for better coverage. Just keep in mind it will darken your overall skin tone. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinSep 15, 2019
※ Excellent coverage While not quite as full-coverage as high-end department store brands like Es♡e La♡der, it provides substantial coverage compared to other drugstore foundations. ※ Applies thinly It feels like it goes on more thinly than other drugstore foundations. ※ Long-lasting I have a sweaty constitution and perspire easily in both summer and winter, even with light exercise or walking. Despite sweating profusely, this foundation doesn't budge, eliminating the need for touch-ups. ※ Unattractive when it wears off While its long-lasting nature is a plus, once it starts to break down and wear off, it clumps up in pores like little sebum balls. It also tends to separate easily. ※ Drying As a high-coverage product, it's understandably matte, but it might be too drying for those with dry skin. If you decide to use this product, I highly recommend a thorough moisturizing routine beforehand. When applying this foundation, I recommend using a damp beauty sponge or regular makeup puff rather than a brush! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 2, 2019
It offers great coverage while applying thinly and has impressive staying power. As time passes, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells around the nose area. This seems to have become more noticeable since the product was reformulated. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 12, 2019
It covers better than expected and evens out the complexion nicely. I love how well it covers redness. For best results, apply a thin layer all over first, then add another layer where you need more coverage. You'll end up with skin as smooth as silk! It's much more matte than I anticipated, which is a bit disappointing. After lunch, it starts to break down, and unfortunately, it darkens as it wears off. I find that applying with a brush works better than using a puff. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2019
It absorbs smoothly and thinly, and the color payoff is even prettier than expected. My prejudice against drugstore products has disappeared! After about 5 hours in the afternoon, it starts cracking severely! It's extremely drying! If you have dry skin, absolutely do not buy this! However, the color is so pretty that I still reach for it occasionally. I'm using it mixed with other products! If you use it after applying a hydrating base or hydration mask, it stays good for 8 hours! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 7, 2019
If you apply a thin layer of another cushion foundation first, then pat this one on top of your cheeks, it absolutely won't budge! Using this alone makes my skin feel too dry. It's like my skin is cracking... Might be perfect for those with oily skin though. Apply a regular cushion foundation first, then layer this on top. Even in the sweltering summer heat, it won't budge! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2019
First off, I loved the semi-matte formula. It adhered to my face perfectly, providing excellent coverage. Among drugstore foundations, this one offers the best value for money. It applies thinly and covers blemishes really well! Unfortunately, it caused small bumps to appear on my face. While it's good in many ways, I can't use it because of the skin reaction. Pro tip: Applying it with a damp sponge works wonders! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 22, 2019
I bought this foundation after reading reviews, and I'm so satisfied that I'm on my second bottle! It lightly covers the slight texture on my forehead. Even without touch-ups for about 12 hours, it maintains about 85% of its coverage! It applies evenly and thinly! If you don't touch up for a long time, there's a moderate amount of darkening. It gets a bit darker, unfortunately. I always apply a pink blur pang before this product! It makes my skin look whiter and more natural, and it doesn't feel dry at all! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 19, 2019
First off, as its reputation suggests, the coverage is indeed quite impressive. It effectively conceals most blemishes, allowing for a layered application that looks less artificial and heavy while maintaining good coverage. However, don't expect flawless concealment - it's just a step above basic coverage. Due to its high coverage, it doesn't feel particularly lightweight on the skin. On a personal note, I prefer a brighter complexion, so I consider this a plus. I've used it as a thin base layer all over, then applied it more heavily in the center of my face like a concealer. It's light enough in tone to use this way. The shade itself is quite bright, which might not suit those seeking a natural look. But if you're after a radiant complexion regardless of how natural it appears, this could work well for you. Despite liking the product overall, I found enough subjective drawbacks to give it an average rating. Firstly, it's not ideal for solo use in winter. Unless you have extremely oily skin and prefer a semi-matte (or possibly matte) finish year-round, it tends to look patchy. This patchiness can worsen over time or depending on your skin condition. I've noticed others experiencing even more severe patchiness than me, so if you're prone to base makeup separating, I'd advise against this product. Now, let's address the blemish issue. If you're particularly stressed about blemishes, especially small bumps, I wouldn't recommend this product. My skin was originally quite problematic, with many blemish marks and inflamed spots. While using this product regularly, I didn't attribute my skin issues to it. However, after taking a break from foundation and focusing on skincare, my skin improved significantly. Recently, I used this product again after a long time, and by nighttime, I noticed my forehead was primed for a breakout. The next day, I had irritation around my brow area which led to another blemish. So, if skin troubles and blemishes are a concern for you, I strongly advise against this product. I've sprinkled some tips throughout my pros and cons, so please look out for those! Many people seem to struggle with controlling the amount dispensed. It's a pump-type bottle, but I never fully depress the pump. I gently press it to dispense just the right amount. I use about half or even a quarter of a full pump. When using foundation, avoid fully depressing the pump to get the maximum amount - it's wasteful and can lead to cakey makeup.
