I love that it comes in a tube, which keeps the product from being exposed to air and prevents it from getting on your hands. You can apply it directly without any tools. The quantity is generous, and it has a refreshing scent. I originally bought this from Aritaum and was using it happily, but since it's become an Etude product, they've stopped doing the 1+1 promotions. - Hwahae UserOily SkinNov 15, 2022
Oh wow, the ginger scent isn't overpowering, and it's delightfully rich and moisturizing. I like to apply it over my lipstick for a little extra oomph! Can't really think of any downsides. Just hope it doesn't get discontinued! It's a great buy when it's on sale. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 19, 2022
I've been using this product since high school, and it's become an absolute essential for me! Before bed, I slather it on generously, and when I wake up the next morning, my lips are wonderfully hydrated and soft. In this state, when I gently rub my lips while showering, any dead skin cells that have built up come off naturally, eliminating the need for separate exfoliation! Although it's called a ginger lip balm, it has more of a lemony-ginger scent. The amount you get is truly generous - one tube seems to last for about a year. Applying it before makeup and then lightly wiping it off before putting on lipstick helps the color adhere beautifully and stay put. It's a definite win-win! I've been using this for over 5 years, and honestly, I can't find a single flaw in terms of price, quantity, or functionality. However, in the dead of winter when your lips are severely chapped or extremely dry, this product might feel a bit light. In such cases, I'd recommend trying the jar version of the ginger lip balm for more intensive moisturization. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2022
The scent is lovely, and it feels moisturizing as a lip balm should. I highly recommend it! I wish it had a bit more color payoff. There's a slight disappointment when applying it to bare lips. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2021
I'm glad I bought this product during the Aritaum sale. The scent is subtle and reminds me of lemons. Hmm... I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to achieve glossy lips. It's too sticky. Maybe because it's a ginger sugar lip balm... The stickiness feels like melted sugar. I checked the ingredients while writing this review, and it's disappointing to see it contains some allergenic components. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2020
It's so moisturizing that my lips never have a chance to get dry! And I love that it has almost no scent. The texture is so thick that when I tested it on the back of my hand, it wouldn't come off no matter how much I washed. It's beyond moisturizing - it's downright heavy. If you don't like this kind of formula, I wouldn't recommend it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinNov 18, 2020
The quantity is surprisingly generous, so it lasts a long time. It has a pleasant scent and provides long-lasting hydration. As long as you don't eat it, it's great! Everything about it is good, except it's quite sticky. When you first use it, it can feel a bit heavy on the skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 14, 2020
It's pretty decent. I like that the scent isn't overpowering, and it feels hygienic and clean. I bought this because the overnight lip mask from the same line worked wonders, but I'm not really impressed with this one. It doesn't seem much different from other products. It's just okay, and I'm not sure if it really helps with dead skin cells. I won't be repurchasing it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 13, 2020
Among all the lip balms I've tried, this one felt the most soothing. It has a rich, thick texture. Comparing it to Vaseline: Vaseline: - Relatively lightweight - Effective for removing dead skin cells - Can't soothe very dry lips Ginger Sugar: - Comparatively heavier - Great for removing dead skin cells - Apply before bed, and in the morning your lips feel soothed (soft and supple) - The scent is love-it-or-hate-it (I love it) The thick consistency might be off-putting at first (though you'll appreciate it once you get used to it). The scent can be divisive, so make sure to smell it before buying (in-store if possible)! Apply a generous amount before going to bed! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 6, 2020
As someone with chronically dry lips that crack and bleed if I don't apply lip balm before bed, I can confidently say: 1. Hydration It's phenomenal, no need to elaborate. It's incredibly moisturizing and perfectly suitable for nighttime use. 2. Scent While some reviews mention disliking it, I personally found it very pleasant. Avoid applying it when wearing a mask. It gets sticky on the mask and becomes quite uncomfortable. If you have lips like mine, use this line's lip mask in winter. In summer, the tube type is sufficiently moisturizing, but it feels slightly inadequate in winter!
