One-line review: A life-changing lip balm

First off, I'm someone who's generally unsatisfied with the hydration of stick lip balms. Just for reference, I only approve of Dior's stick balms and find the rest disappointing.

Because of this, I've only been using lip oils, lip masks, and Vaseline. But this tube-type lip balm is truly a game-changer in terms of value for money...

It nails everything - hydration, dead skin cell removal, lasting moisture, affordability, and scent. It makes me think this might be what a masterpiece in lip balms looks like.

When on sale, it's around $5, and being in a tube, it's hygienic to use. The lemon scent is lovely, the hydration is top-notch, and it's not sticky at all...

It's simply the best. That's all.

I originally bought this from Aritaum and was using it happily, but since it's become an Etude product, they've stopped doing the 1+1 promotions.

I love that it comes in a tube, which keeps the product from being exposed to air and prevents it from getting on your hands. You can apply it directly without any tools. The quantity is generous, and it has a refreshing scent.

Apply a thick layer in the evening, and in the morning, gently rub with a damp cotton swab for baby-soft lips.

The coating on the product surface peels off and gets on my hands... Apart from that, there are no issues!

I've never seen a lip balm as good as the Ginger Sugar Essential Lip Balm! When I wake up in the morning, my dead skin cells are easily removed. Applying it before makeup leaves my lips moisturized. I use this product when I go out. I prefer the solid stick format!

I noticed it contains mineral oil. It's a shame because I usually avoid lip balms with that ingredient.

It gives a similar glow to Kiehl's products, but the ingredients are completely different. The tube packaging makes it so easy to squeeze out, and the nozzle is perfect for applying directly to your lips.

Can't really think of any downsides. Just hope it doesn't get discontinued! It's a great buy when it's on sale.

This lip balm is my holy grail, I can't live without it! Especially in winter. I used to love the stick version before it was discontinued, so I rushed to get this one. While it's less thick than the previous formula, it's still the most nourishing lip balm out there, and it actually glides on even more smoothly! Plus, the tube packaging is more hygienic and convenient to carry around than the stick version.

I've been using this for over 5 years, and honestly, I can't find a single flaw in terms of price, quantity, or functionality.

However, in the dead of winter when your lips are severely chapped or extremely dry, this product might feel a bit light. In such cases, I'd recommend trying the jar version of the ginger lip balm for more intensive moisturization.

Before bed, I slather it on generously, and when I wake up the next morning, my lips are wonderfully hydrated and soft. In this state, when I gently rub my lips while showering, any dead skin cells that have built up come off naturally, eliminating the need for separate exfoliation!

Although it's called a ginger lip balm, it has more of a lemony-ginger scent. The amount you get is truly generous - one tube seems to last for about a year.

Applying it before makeup and then lightly wiping it off before putting on lipstick helps the color adhere beautifully and stay put. It's a definite win-win!

There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but since I'm not wearing lipstick these days, I'm not sure how it would work in combination with lipstick.

I always use lip balm because my lips tend to chap easily. This one has a slightly sticky texture and provides excellent hydration. I used to use another product with a vanilla scent, but it was too strong when wearing a mask (very uncomfortable), so I only used it at home. This product, however, has no noticeable scent, so I can carry it around and use it anywhere. I also like that it's colorless.

I wish it had a bit more color payoff. There's a slight disappointment when applying it to bare lips.

It's itchy, my lips are swollen, blisters are forming, and it's all puffed up. I'm shocked, so I came to check the ingredients.

I bought it because it was called a stick, but when I checked the ingredients, it was different.

First of all, it's too sticky and the formula itself is heavy and not great...ㅜㅜㅜ

To be honest, I'm not sure what the good points are... I heard that the tube type is more moisturizing than the stick type, but I don't really relate to that.

After applying this product, my lips felt itchy and irritated around the edges. At first I thought it was because of the tint, but it turned out the lip balm just didn't agree with me.

I bought it because it seemed to form a persistent moisturizing layer. The scent was not objectionable, and the tube format in particular was nice as it allowed me to apply and wipe it off cleanly.

But towards the end of the product, likely due to prolonged use or my atopic skin condition, I started experiencing flaky skin and atopic symptoms on my lips. So I struggled with that a bit.

At first, I applied it generously and found it effective for exfoliating, so I was able to enjoy a period of life without recurring flaky skin!

Sometimes when I used it, something would just come up on my lips for no reason. At first, I thought it was because I had atopic dermatitis, but after the Aritaum Oil Tint incident, I started to wonder if it might have been because of this lip balm.. It may not be, but still.

After using it for more than 6 months, the moisturizing power is definitely good. It would be good for people without allergies to use.

This is the first time I've seen a lip balm with such a disastrous result. My lips were swollen and red eczema flared up around my lips. Yikes!

Those with sensitive lips or the surrounding area should be careful.

I'm sorry for the disturbing image, but the affected area is not just what's shown - my whole lip area became splotchy and red due to this allergic reaction;_;
