It's gentle enough for daily use, and if you apply it just before a breakout, you'll see significant calming effects.
Cons
Since it's focused on soothing, it might not provide deep hydration, so it's good to use alongside a product that balances oil and moisture. When you first apply it, there's a slightly peculiar medicinal scent, but it disappears quickly.
Tip

Pros
I've attached before and after photos taken one day apart using only this essence! 1. Even with just this essence alone, it provides excellent soothing hydration 2. Right after application, it feels like the skin is drinking it up 3. The next day after use, my skin became smooth and clear 4. I've been using it for 3 months, and my blemishes have significantly reduced
Cons
After application, it feels sticky and clings to the skin, so it's probably not suitable for use before makeup. If you apply cushion foundation directly over it, you'll likely experience pilling. It's best used as part of your nighttime skincare routine!

Pros
As soon as I apply it, I feel my reddened skin calming down. It definitely seems to lower my skin temperature when I use it.
Cons
Depending on my skin condition, it can sometimes feel a bit tingly. It's disappointing that the hydration seems to evaporate quickly.

This has been my holy grail product for 2 years now. Rather than using it like a serum at night, it's perfect for a light application in the morning. It's also great for calming acne-prone skin.
Cons
The pump can be a bit unpredictable, so you might end up with a faulty one.

I've been using this product for a year now, and it's been great. My skin tends to be sensitive, but this product doesn't cause any blemishes, probably because it's slightly acidic. I really like that! The soothing effect is excellent too.

Pros
I have combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, but this absorbs well and is incredibly soothing. After a bad reaction to another product, I washed my face and applied only this. It calmed everything down!
Cons
Dr.G products are almost all gentle and really great, but the fragrance is disappointing. The unscented formula is both a pro and a con.

Absolutely amazing for calming irritated skin! While Dr.G's Soothing Cream felt like it created a film - oily? sticky? suffocating? - and seemed to worsen existing blemishes and even cause new breakouts, this ampoule truly works wonders for soothing the skin. My sister, who has very sensitive, blemish-prone skin, saw dramatic improvement after just one use. Here's my go-to method when skin is super irritated and needs calming: 1. After cleansing, immediately use Dr.G Soothing Toner as an exfoliating toner 2. Apply the Hwahae Testers' favorite ampoule (layer 2-3 times) 3. Finish with Acnon cream, a light moisturizer, or a more nourishing ampoule (Sometimes I apply Acnon cream all over my face like a regular moisturizer) For daily use: Steps 1 and 2 remain the same 3. Apply your preferred treatment serum or ampoule 4. Follow with Acnon if needed
Cons
There's absolutely nothing to dislike! I was a bit worried because of my experience with the Soothing Cream, but this was completely different. It works hard and delivers great results.
