I bought this to control sebum and it's pretty good. When applied to the face contours and nose bridge, it reduces oiliness. It's a product I always repurchase. For combination skin, it sometimes causes itching when applied during dry spells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2019
To be honest, I've only used Banila Co before, but I bought this hoping that a pricier option might be better. However, I don't think the pressed type suits me. After applying this product with a brush and finishing up, I was shocked when I looked in the mirror a few hours later. It had settled into my pores in patches, making my skin look uneven and dirty. I've now figured out how to use this product properly. When applying with a brush, never sweep it across your skin. Instead, gently pat it on as if you're laying it on top of your skin. I actually recommend using a puff rather than a brush for this product. Comparing it to Banila Co, there isn't much difference, and I was honestly disappointed. However, when applied with a puff, it does slightly better at covering pores. If you use a brush, those with large pores will experience serious clogging. Never sweep with a brush, just pat it on gently. Also, when I first used this product, my skin became itchy and flaky. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 11, 2018
Light, soft, and velvety. It controls oil well. Covers small pores effectively, but not as effective for larger ones. Update 1/10/2019: I've adjusted my rating. When I used it before, my skin felt dry and itchy, but I think that was because my skin was extremely dehydrated at the time. The loose powder type is great for mornings, leaving my skin less oily and more matte compared to the pressed type. I don't even need to use the pressed version. The key point is that you really need to use this product with a brush to appreciate its true value. The original puff applied it a bit thick, but with a brush, I can apply it lightly. It's perfect as a finishing touch for makeup! It's so itchy! My face was irritated all day, and I couldn't stop touching it. This led to blemishes. I think using the included puff helps cover pores better. I'd recommend this if you don't have sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 11, 2018
First off, I have combination sensitive skin that turns red at the slightest touch - we're talking super sensitive here. On top of that, my T-zone, especially my nose, has pores as large as orange peel. Meanwhile, my cheeks are dry with facial redness, making them extremely parched. Now, here's the thing - usually after a full day out, my nose should be dotted with sebum, but with this product? Nothing. Just smooth skin. Plus, it barely creased (though I'm not sure if that's thanks to this or my Urban Decay). It feels incredibly gentle on the skin. Another huge plus - even Kiss Me, known for its non-smudging formula, tends to smudge on me, but yesterday, for the first time ever, my makeup didn't budge! I had such a happy, worry-free date! I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but since I first used it yesterday, my chin area has been itchy. I noticed benzyl alcohol (a potential allergen) is listed in the ingredients. I'll keep an eye on it for a while longer. Apply gently using an ultra-soft brush, using light circular motions! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 21, 2018
The case is convenient to carry, cute, and pretty. That's all... I honestly can't see anything good about this product's effectiveness, and I don't understand why it's famous. It makes my skin itchy and causes blemishes when applied. A friend who bought it with me said the exact same thing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 16, 2018
It really controls oil effectively. The lightweight formula allows for easy reapplication without caking, and it improves longevity. I love how it covers pores and uneven texture. There's a slight itchy feeling on the face, but it doesn't cause severe blemishes or irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 11, 2018
I bought this expecting it to cover texture and give a smooth finish... and wow, it's the real deal! Is powder usually this good? It looks like a transparent, lightweight powder, but even a light application covers pores and texture.. It's amazing, truly amazing.. It adheres smoothly to the skin surface.. To be honest, I bought it without high expectations, just hoping it would control oil, but it does that and more - it gives a flawless skin texture... Of course, you can't expect a dewy or glossy finish, but my huge pores.. and acne scars... they disappear like magic... It covers them with a blurring effect. I saw some comparisons with Innisfree No Sebum powder, but honestly, they're not in the same league. I've used both, and No Sebum is really just for oil control, while this one actually improves skin texture. If you only want oil control, go for Innisfree No Sebum. It's great value for money. However, it can look a bit artificial if you apply too much, like when you take sticker photos - it gives that overly smooth effect. You need to apply it moderately. Also, some people say they didn't see dramatic coverage effects, but I think that's natural for those who don't have visible pores or blackheads. Keep in mind it won't cover blemishes completely. Also, this product... it's a bit itchy. I've heard that the ingredients aren't particularly good for the skin, and powder isn't generally beneficial. Since it's a powder, it can be drying, so I apply it lightly only on areas that get oily and less dry parts of my face. Make sure to build up hydration in your skincare routine before using this, as it can be drying on the areas where it's applied. And remember, moderation is key when applying! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2018
The powder particles are finely milled. As someone with oily yet dehydrated skin, I usually keep my makeup base and pre-foundation routine quite moisturizing. However, this can sometimes lead to excess oiliness on the surface, requiring something to control it. I used to use oil control powder, but this product is incomparably better - it finishes clean and thin, and even gives a slight brightening effect that I really like. While it's great in terms of powder application, I have sensitive skin and occasionally experience what seems to be allergic reactions with redness or slight tingling when using this. For those prone to allergies or with sensitive skin, it might be a bit... tricky. However, if you cleanse well and maintain good skincare routines, it shouldn't be a major issue. I do experience some itchiness now and then, but it's brief. The powder's effectiveness is so good that I'm still giving it 4 points. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 4, 2017
The staying power is really great. I was able to do a fluffy, soft makeup, which I liked. In the hot summer, my face would sweat and get itchy... At first, I thought it was a problem with the other products, so I tried changing my base sunscreen and foundation, but it seems like they didn't agree with me when it was hot.
